Every Penny Counts! - yoshikai, on 12/07/2007, -12/+169I threw in $50, this idea is too wacky not to happen. If there's one thing I'd like to see more of in politics today, it's dirigibles.
- jmpeagle, on 12/07/2007, -10/+161just a reminder if you live in Florida, Nevada, Kentucky, or New Jersey. They all have upcoming deadlines for change in party affiliation in order to vote in their GOP only primaries.
NJ - December 17
Nevada - Dec 30
Kentucky and Florida - Dec 31 - Codename46, on 12/07/2007, -29/+173Ron Paul is not a "long shot". Get it right.
- sockpuppets, on 12/07/2007, -15/+156I have to hand it to the Ron Paul crowd, your ideas amuse me. Good luck. :)
- MikeThinks, on 12/07/2007, -16/+117It IS going to fly! The Revolution WILL be Televised!
- deadlift, on 12/07/2007, -28/+113Ron Paul is so cute
- jeffiek, on 12/07/2007, -14/+88Total is now $172,465 with a bit under 24 hrs remaining.
Close, but looking good. - kwansolo, on 12/07/2007, -5/+77i hope homeland security doesn't shoot it down.
- humanerror, on 04/03/2008, -13/+83They're going to keep calling him a "long shot" right up until he wins
- mournsanity, on 12/07/2007, -6/+58They picked the perfect picture for this article.
- jeffiek, on 12/07/2007, -19/+687 Hours and the bury brigade hasn't nailed it yet. Are they sleeping?
- KOSmurfy, on 12/07/2007, -6/+54"the Ron Paul blimp fund isn't even close to raising money quickly enough"
Actually, it is. - Xfer00, on 12/07/2007, -12/+58From unpresidented, to, hopefully, unprecedented!
- clintontj72, on 12/07/2007, -22/+66We just ignore you. The key is this...you will never get it. There are no bounds to our dedication...I do not think you fully comprehend what you are up against.
- NightVortez, on 12/07/2007, -7/+47Freedom is an aphrodisiac.
- not2pretty, on 12/07/2007, -11/+50I love this guy!
- forgiste, on 12/07/2007, -9/+48Every little bit counts.
- borninda818, on 12/07/2007, -8/+46WTF is wrong with you guys...This blimp could be the best thing that's happened to the Ron Paul Campaign since November 5th. This is HUGE and will get a massive response from MSM. Oh and the way it's going it will easily hit 200k by tomorrow. It went from 140k to 160k in the last 6 hours.
- yoshikai, on 12/07/2007, -3/+38Freedom is popular!
- understudy, on 12/07/2007, -7/+41Not all stories on a single subject are necessarily duplicates. If that were true, we'd only have one iPhone story, one Vista story, etc. Sometimes stories on the same subject say different things.
Duplicates, on the other hand, are links to the same exact story—as often happens in AP stories on different sites.
_ - inactive, on 12/07/2007, -7/+38So by ignoring him, you mean posting an angry reply? I'm not sure you know what "ignore" means.
- mriegger, on 12/07/2007, -4/+34If you join the Ron Paul crowd, you could get a free blimp ride.
Think about it - inactive, on 12/07/2007, -6/+34Ron Paul has more donors than any other Republican Candidate.
- inactive, on 12/07/2007, -14/+42w00t FRONT PAGE! .......... EAT IT! RON PAUL BURY BRIGADE!
- Nerys, on 12/07/2007, -5/+32NO your NOT DONATING A DIME. Your BUYING Blimp time :-) hehehe
I do not care WHO you want as president you have to admit this is a cool freaking idea :-) - jask0, on 12/07/2007, -5/+30great idea
- AnimZero, on 12/07/2007, -4/+29The blimp isn't being paid for by Ron Paul's campaign; it's a grassroots effort.
- bariswheel, on 12/07/2007, -8/+29Why didn't this launch earlier? It's coming real close to the caucus, It would've generated more popularity...
- nospinhere, on 12/07/2007, -4/+25For Ron Paul it's a "whimsical publicity stunt" If Hillary Clinton or any Republicam did this I'm sure you would have quite a different name for it.
- matador3, on 12/07/2007, -5/+25$25,000 today gets this in the air!
http://www.ronpaulblimp.com/
Donate! $10, whatever you can. - tgarza17, on 12/07/2007, -1/+19They might. On orders from the President: "My fellow americans, we scored a victory today against those who threaten our ideals. We had solid intel that the Ron Paul Blimp was going to be used by evil doers to do evil. The helium contained in this appartus, could, if inhaled in sufficient quantities could cause serious injury or death. Such a massive weapon of destruction floating over our heads could be tolerated. We had no choice but to shoot it down. You can sleep tonight confident that your government is watching you, er, watching over you. Thank you, and good night."
- jeffiek, on 12/07/2007, -7/+25Total is currently $178,245 with just under 21 hours to go.
C'mon guys, fork over. You're making me nervous. - yoshikai, on 12/07/2007, -4/+22Ron Paul doesn't want to "replace" taxes, he wants to eliminate the income tax, and replace it with (mostly) nothing. And he proposes to do so by cutting the trillion+ $ we are spending every year on war and on maintaining our foreign empire.
- Bilabrin, on 12/07/2007, -5/+23I notice you Anti-Paul guys all seem to do nothing but sling insults. Mostly baseless ones. Is it a reflection of your general intellegence level that I rarely see a post aganst him with substance?
- RandomGorilla, on 12/07/2007, -16/+29No offense to the Ron Paul supporters out there, but a blimp really doesn't feel like it would draw too many votes even as a spectacle. Now have 50,000 hot porn stars making a pilgremage through America naked but for "Vote Ron Paul '08" sandwich board.... you'll have guys wearing a hole through the diebold machine screen where his name appears.
- Spentlife, on 12/07/2007, -10/+22The Revolution Begins - RON PAUL

- tsos2, on 12/07/2007, -3/+15Cute? He is a verbal bad ass. His vocal KungFu is strong. I think he'll make a great president.
- SiNN4R, on 12/07/2007, -0/+11Its hard out there for a blimp.
- Jimmyb207, on 12/07/2007, -5/+16And if any other candidate did this you would call it an advertisement.
- odigity, on 12/07/2007, -5/+16He is personally pro-life, but he never let's his personal opinions get in the way of upholding the constitution.
He believes it should not be decided at the Federal level, so as president, he would NOT try to make abortions illegal, he would just leave it to the states.
I'm pro-choice, and I support Ron Paul. - borninda818, on 12/07/2007, -3/+14Business has been slow lately so he is giving a discount to attract customers...what is illegal about that? (possible excuse)
- AnimZero, on 12/07/2007, -3/+14I personally think he's pro-life because he's delivered, what, four thousand babies? He's probably sensitive to the thought of it. Either way, he doesn't think it's a federal issue, and he won't be pushing his anti-abortion views on the people. I'll be voting for him, and I'm pro-choice.
Besides, his other views FAR outweigh his abortion views. - inactive, on 12/07/2007, -5/+16Because mega millions is required to win.
- brad3378, on 12/07/2007, -7/+18Please provide links to the other stories so I can read those too :)
- Franky66, on 12/07/2007, -5/+15The blimp is gonna be super cool and a big &%$# YOU to the media! I love this grassroots effort!
- rkbabang, on 12/07/2007, -4/+14Hot air? It's a blimp not a hot air balloon. Go find out the difference between them and how they work, and realize how ignorant you sound.
- Fragowell, on 12/07/2007, -7/+17Your entire argument is based on the assumption that people automatically owe the government a portion of their income. I (and many other intelligent, freedom-loving people) reject that notion outright.
