- Jassman, on 07/17/2009, -11/+214Nope, sure isn't. Too bad Mr. Obama is a puppet for the bankers themselves.
- Kombaiyashii, on 07/17/2009, -17/+170Is Barrack Obama pushing for transparency of the federal reserve?
- ctiger2, on 07/17/2009, -23/+155Here's inflation: What cost $100 in 1913 would cost $2152.03 in 2008. If you were to buy exactly the same products in 2008 and 1913, they would cost you $100 and $4.71 respectively. That's a 95%+ decrease in USD purchasing power BECAUSE of the Feds creation in 1913. The Fed is RAPING the WORLDS wealth through inflation. END THE FED!
- nomoreink, on 07/18/2009, -28/+138Ron Paul 2012!!
- Bluesky0010, on 07/18/2009, -4/+109No, Obama is doing the same ***** Bush was and then some as far as transparency goes.
- henri3, on 07/17/2009, -21/+124A Digg for the Truth!!
- dafragsta, on 07/18/2009, -4/+90He's not pushing for transparency in anything. If there is a single campaign promise he could've broken and been a bigger disappointment, I can't think of it. He's a puppet for the Bilderberg Group.
- kaelyiesta, on 07/17/2009, -7/+87It's nice that he explicitly names the auditing exemptions that the fed has. Too often I find people object to his proposals to audit the fed because they think we already audit them sufficiently. He also goes through other fallacies leveled against him like the confusion between inflation and CPI, which is particularly hard for some people to grasp it seems.
- FmyLife, on 07/18/2009, -8/+85AUDIT THE FED NOW
- RSS14, on 07/18/2009, -13/+78America should have put him in office. There is still hope in 2012. Don't ***** up this time.
- sphira, on 07/17/2009, -14/+70You can't easily end the Fed until you get real people in congress

http://www.randpaul2010.com/ - zacharywoods, on 07/18/2009, -6/+53Ron Paul makes too many people in power uneasy. I'd imagine him being publicly smeared to death if he was a presidential candidate. The scalpers of this nation don't want to give the power back to the people!
- darkened, on 07/18/2009, -1/+46If by transparency you mean greater powers for the Federal Reserve that is already effectively the most powerful entity on the planet since it controls the USA monetary system, then yes he's for "transparency."
- BenTheTank, on 07/18/2009, -14/+59I love Ron Paul, and love this submission; but do we really have to keep saying that debate losers are "absolutely destroyed" and/or "totally pwned"?
- foontala, on 07/18/2009, -1/+43Wow, BOOM BOSS PAUL!
"If you had a CD in the bank, or your parents had a CD in the bank , and were making 1% instead of 5%, is that fair or unfair?" - Ron Paul
<mumble mumble> good economy mandate <mumble mumble>" - Federal Reserver Governor Elizabeth Duke
"I think the consumer loses on that deal." - Ron Paul
==========
"The eyes of our citizens are not sufficiently open
to the true cause of our distress. They ascribe them
to everything but their true cause, the banking
system; a system which if it could do good in any
form is yet so certain of leading to abuse as to be
utterly incompatible with the public safety and
prosperity. The central bank is an institution of
the most deadly hostility existing against the
principles and form of our constitution." ~Thomas
Jefferson - v0ider, on 07/18/2009, -8/+501.8% inflation? Are you kidding me?
- prrp, on 07/18/2009, -4/+41You obviously don't know much about the fed or our constitution.
- BotchaMcCoola, on 07/17/2009, -8/+41It is worse than I thought. Btw, anyone have a guess why there is such silence about the role of the war related spending and borrowing on the credit crisis, wealth loss and recession we have now? Was there any way to mask some of that in mortgages or financial instruments? Or would a sudden huge demand for credit cause a loss for other routine uses?
- ModernGeek, on 07/18/2009, -1/+31Our better lifestyle is because of scientists and engineers pushing the human race further. Banking cartels and evil corporations that punish innovation are not the source of our prosperity, they are the biggest threat to it.
- CYCLEORDIE, on 07/18/2009, -2/+30Just like every other president and most all politicians we've had in recent history.
- v3rtex7740, on 07/18/2009, -3/+31purchasing power is not strictly related to average income, we're talking about how powerful the money is, not how much money people have.
- alamedaman, on 07/17/2009, -13/+40Go Doc P!!!
- newerakb, on 07/18/2009, -4/+31Yes, because in this video it's completely true. He came at her with well reasoned, thought out issues, and she replied without an ounce of thought, spouting rhetoric straight from a pamphlet. She didn't even sound like she agreed with what she was saying, she just read her prepared ***** statements and murdered our country a little bit.
- CBKBAMF, on 07/18/2009, -6/+32She didn't answer a single question that he asked her.
RON PAUL GETS IT. - Bullislander05, on 07/18/2009, -8/+34Cue a troll by NoLibs in 3...2...
- goodinohio, on 07/18/2009, -1/+25Over 260 in congress have co-sponsored HR 1207.
- FmyLife, on 07/18/2009, -6/+29You're such a ***** MORON! He's leading the bill to audit the fed, expose them for the corrupt, country ruining ***** that they are.
- wombat767, on 07/18/2009, -5/+27Barack would be pushing for transparency if any of his ideas were working. Since they are not working, he will do everything in his power to hide how much debt he caused for a bunch of pet projects.
- grishnav, on 07/18/2009, -2/+221. He's talking about less oversight over the market, NOT less oversight over the government! (Even though technically the Fed isn't part of the government.)
2. Auditing them is the first step toward destroying them. You're statement reads: "Ron Paul says he wants more delicious Omlettes, so I don't understand why he's trying to get us to break more eggs." Can't cook 'em 'till you crack the shell. - wingedflurry, on 07/18/2009, -4/+24Anyone else just get a buzzing sound for audio? wtf is wrong?
- BotchaMcCoola, on 07/18/2009, -1/+21You evidently did not watch the Republican debates. McCain was grinning like an alzheimer's victim when Paul got the better applause.
- FmyLife, on 07/18/2009, -5/+24I certainly do. To call him inconsequential when he proposed one of the most important bills EVER is uninformed and asinine.
- richmomz, on 07/18/2009, -12/+31The Federal Reserve may own the country, but Ron Paul pwns the FED!
- BlacklabelSAR, on 07/18/2009, -2/+21If I allow you to use my car, I am not also allowing you to let other people use it am I? That would be a serious breach of trust. Especially if you rented my car out.
That is what congress did when the Federal Reserve Act was passed in 1913. Late at night, during winter when most congressmen were not present to object. The Constitution gives the power to coin money to the Congress. Now that power has been given to private banking corporations that you cannot vote out of office.
Even Woodrow Wilson himself admitted that he had sold out the nation by allowing the Federal Reserve Act to happen. It's not complicated and you don;t need a degree in economics to understand how banks have scammed nations throughout history. The word is Usury. - blorc, on 07/18/2009, -6/+24Inconsequential digger is inconsequential.
Dugg down. - darkened, on 07/18/2009, -3/+21uhhh you couldn't be any further from the truth. Ron Paul as always makes point after point of undeniable facts based on sound economics and then you see the other person just sit there and stare "uhhhh well actually you see ummm everything's fine, just believe me!"
- BotchaMcCoola, on 07/18/2009, -1/+18But what if no one was statesman enough to ask the hard questions?
- ronh, on 07/18/2009, -0/+16I agree. I was expecting skull splitting ass kicking violence.
- jaytek13, on 07/18/2009, -18/+34I'm not sure how I feel about the Fed but your half-truths don't help your argument. What was the average yearly income in 1913?
- NorthMass, on 07/18/2009, -4/+19So it doesn't matter how anti-war he is, how anti bailout he is, how much power he wants to give back to the people and not the special interests, just because he doesn't accept evolution?
You would rather base your vote on whether they personally believe in evolution? I don't care if someone worships a tree, if they make sense I will vote for them. - richmomz, on 07/18/2009, -2/+17It *does* accomplish something; forcing the Fed to engage in dodgy behavior wakes people up to the fact that they're not being honest with us (or Congress).
- EverybodyPanic, on 07/18/2009, -17/+32Ron Paul is the true champion. Now that we have abolished the Federal Reserve, it's time to get rid of the unconstitutional IRS.
- john2kx, on 07/18/2009, -0/+14Well yeah, it's teh internet.
- Vodd9, on 07/18/2009, -1/+15Really?
Normally, the banks who do that go bankrupt and other the other banks who were careful don't.
But that can't happen with bailouts. - Nosrac, on 07/18/2009, -0/+14Are you proposing people should start saying Ron Paul 2008?
- zacharywoods, on 07/18/2009, -3/+16Ron Paul would rather completely abolish the Federal Reserve, but regulating it is the first step in reigning its powers. The Fed is the opposite of free market, it is a centrally controlling institution that decides monetary policy that affects the purchasing parity of our money.
- NorthMass, on 07/18/2009, -2/+15He got 10% in Iowa and 9% in New Hampshire. How is that insignificant? And this time around the media can't just mock him and ignore him like they did before, considering how he keeps getting proven right over and over again.
- EddiePotato, on 07/18/2009, -2/+15A pawn acts on behalf of someone more powerful. Who exactly do you suppose is pulling Paul's strings? A shadowy, insidious group of Constitutionalists?
- thecoolestguy, on 07/18/2009, -1/+14Why shouldn't an organization that controls trillions of $$ of public money be audited to ensure there is no corruption or incompetence?
