- hankbeasley, on 04/22/2009, -3/+53Nice timing!
- agaiziunas, on 01/24/2008, -3/+51The only candidate that even understands the economy. At least John McCain admits he doesn't, the others just try to squeeze by. Can't wait for the debates once they start all over the economy.
- joelklabo, on 01/24/2008, -3/+47hopefully he gets a chance to talk about this tonight at the debate.
- Twilexia, on 01/24/2008, -3/+44fantastic!! THIS is what I'm talking about, a REAL economic stimulus plan, not some "lets lower taxes and keep spending billions of dollars overseas" that other candidates are proposing, or "let's keep hoping, we'll get there eventually!"
- Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -3/+41a REAL solution as opposed to the $800 buck "go back to sleep" bribe
- nopantsdx, on 01/24/2008, -3/+40I'm no economic super freak, but I read Ron Paul's stimulus plan and it's very sound. It has short term goals that reduce the current problems, and they would happen faster than Bush's check cutting idea that needs 4 months just to print all the checks! Not to mention how Bush's check writing plan in the long term would do more harm than good. Paul's plan also has great long term changes that would point the economy in positive direction for the extended future. It's really quite simple. I think everyone is just too afraid to say something like this in Washington because it encourages reducing government spending, and everyone wants more money. The American people just have to decide what's more important, for the people to have most of the money, or their government. Personally, I'd rather decide how my money is spent rather than some politician with alterier motives.
- SleighBoy, on 01/24/2008, -3/+38Okay, so now our economy is taking front and center in the race, despite the neocons wanting to cram the "radical Islamic fundamentalist jihad suicide terrorists" down our throats as a scare-tactic. So glad Ron Paul has been trumpeting economic overhaul the whole time. Hopefully Americans realize that Ron Paul is speaking of real progress and not just parroting the GOP "cut taxes" mantra (which, of course, the others don't practice..just voice the rhetoric).
Anyone reading this that is not currently supporting Ron Paul, please give him consideration and study his platform and record. - sirachman, on 01/24/2008, -3/+38Wow if only the American people all knew about this.. Spread the word!
- nightlight7, on 01/24/2008, -2/+32And I thought Romney was good for economy. After reading the proposal I am switching to Ron Paul.
- gb13, on 01/24/2008, -1/+30Unveiling the most comprehensive, targeted, and honest economic stimulus plan right on the advent of a looming economic crisis, and immediately before a nationally televised presidential debate... Ron Paul is a political and economic genius!
My hat is off to you, Ron Paul. You are the ONLY choice in '08! - matador3, on 01/24/2008, -3/+29Ron Paul vs. Sarbanes-Oxley on the House floor -- The Due Process and Economic Competitiveness Restoration Act

- Trillion08, on 01/24/2008, -1/+24Lets keep this goin.. digg and share. You know others will be trying to bury the truth..
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+22None of the other candidates have released a real, detailed economic plan because they have no idea what to do. John McCain has to have someone travel with him to help answer questions with him when he is asked about the economy. Huckabee says he will slash taxes and yet we saw that he raised taxes over and over again in Arkansas because he "had to make a tough decision and get things done", yeah right, the state is still in the hole. Romney is a corporate thinker who is into hedge fund companies that buy out floundering companies and them sell them off to other investors, he's a Wall Street big corporate minded thinker. Many folks are out of work now because of lay-offs directly tied to Romney. And we all have seen what Rudy did with astronomically high taxes in NYC.
Ron Paul is an educated economist and sits on the Congressional Finance Committee. When it comes to economics, this is one of Ron Paul's strongest points (next to the Constitution) and he knows that we are doing nothing but digging a deeper hole for ourselves as a country. He understands that the financial backs of middle-class America are being broken. He understands how out of touch people inside the Washington beltway are with common, hardworking and lower income citizens.
If this country does not reel in it's gov't waste and spending, we are all doomed to the poor house! Well, except all of the rich and well off corporate people and politicians that have manipulated the laws to benefit themselves.

- mysticpain, on 01/24/2008, -2/+22RON PAUL!!!!!! Perfect timing for this!
- Trillion08, on 01/24/2008, -0/+20Lets keep this message going.. digg and share, digg and share!
- pmharrell, on 01/24/2008, -0/+20As a trained economist it is hard to believe that this plan is not getting more attention. Ron Paul's plan deals with the systemic distortions of the capital markets caused by government intervention. A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for free markets and prosperity.
- Goodanswer, on 01/24/2008, -2/+21Have to remember that this man, Ron Paul, has been playing this political game for a LONG time, He knows truth will win and that the Neo Cons don't have a clue. He knows what he's doing, don't doubt Obi-wan. He is the master.
- SenatorPuff, on 01/24/2008, -2/+18what does RP think about the Bush tax cuts? http://www.house.gov/paul/press/press2001/pr033101 ...
- malienglez, on 01/24/2008, -0/+16Ron Paul = The only viable candidate for the American Presidency.
As a Brit I have to say to you Americans, I have never taken an interest in American politics until now.
We are watching and hoping America, do the right thing save your country and the world with it by
choosing an honest man for President! - sacha8, on 01/24/2008, -2/+18Wow, not only is Dr. Ron Paul a champion of the U.S. Constitution, but he is a champion of the people. His economic plan should be required reading.
- werdd, on 01/24/2008, -1/+17This is the most conservative and brilliant economic plan of our time. While the other guys are talking about printing more money and spending more, ron is getting to the base of the issues.
- djliquidice, on 01/24/2008, -2/+17Damn right!! RP FTW!
- derhamm, on 01/24/2008, -0/+15I registered to vote for the first time in my 31 years, embarrassingly, a couple days ago because I want to see Ron Paul's message spread. Never been into politics but many of his ideas make incredible sense including this economic plan.
- coyotesprit, on 01/24/2008, -1/+14The debates are gonna try to cleverly avoid the question of recession and our unstable enonomy.
- jasoo24, on 01/24/2008, -0/+12This is coming from Ron Paul, so you know he will keep true to his word.
- 1013, on 01/24/2008, -0/+11Looks like the trolls are hiding under their bridges on this one!
- nalicosh, on 01/24/2008, -0/+10we're working on that : )
- rtheybakingcake, on 01/24/2008, -1/+11I can think of one candidate who deserves that $600
- vbullinger, on 01/24/2008, -0/+8Cheers to you for looking past things you don't like. I gave you a thumbs up :)
Now, you like his economic ideas, right? Ask yourself this question: do you think that our economy is affecting the rest of our government? Hmmm? If you don't, then you're asleep. If you are thinking "maybe..." then you're almost there. Do a Google video search for "Money as Debt" to see what's going on.
Almost everything Ron Paul says goes back to economics. He knows. Everything he says is specifically aimed at what's behind documentaries like "Money as Debt," "The Money Masters," "Fiat Empire" or "America: Freedom to Fascism." - inactive, on 01/24/2008, -1/+7Fire for effect! (Army slang)
- Jeffro240, on 01/24/2008, -0/+6The $150 billion Bush "Tax Rebates" are going to do 1 of 2 things: Since we are already $9.2 trillion in debt, this will A:) put the country $150 billion more in debt, or B:) which is the most probable, this will be $150 billion in freshly printed money (out of thin air) that the Fed will dump into the system, thereby destroying the value of the dollar even more. This Ron Paul plan actually makes sense. And lets not forget that Ron Paul was on the Gold Commission and is the ranking member of the Financial Committee for the entire country. Ron Paul has more monetary and economic experience than ALL THE OTHER CANDIDATES COMBINED.
- JeffDaiell, on 01/25/2008, -0/+6 If elected, Dr. Paul will need plenty of support in both Houses of Congress. Reject Beltway nominees of either tax-subsidized party; vote only for candidates, whether D, R, or Libertarian, who want small/limited government. --- Jeff Daiell www.JeffDaiell.com
- Anwarnova, on 01/24/2008, -1/+7You're right! An entire movement must be discredited because of one fan trying to invite racists and another was hired without knowledge of his background...this whole thing must be a secret conspiracy to get racist into D.C.
Get over yourself. - wildmick83, on 01/24/2008, -2/+7Americans are much to socialistic and militaristic in general to allow any of these to pass.
There's no chance a Democrat controlled House/Senate would drop corporate taxes, and people would support blocking them because people see corporations as evil and greedy.
Freezing all non-defense, non-entitlement spending at current levels is an actual possibility, but still highly unlikely because it would freeze many pet projects that are out there by politicians the nation over.
The FED, never going to happen. I shouldn't have to explain it, but I will. Nobody cares. More importantly, nobody in office cares. The televising of its meetings is a possibility, but still unlikely.
Repeal of Sarbanes-Oxley? Are you kidding me? The law they put into effect to punish those from Enron, etc, isn't coming off the books... ever. The public will never be for that, even though they should be.
That all being said, I think this plan is a great idea, but America needs to have a new mindset to both appreciate and support these measures... - Ifritdave, on 01/24/2008, -0/+5i decided to give you a thumbs up, because a foot in the door is still a foot in the door no matter how you spin it, GO RON PAUL
- corndog8, on 01/25/2008, -0/+5Why didn't he bring this out earlier? This is brilliant!
- matador3, on 01/24/2008, -1/+5AUH2OJR 4 VP!
- ulfaen, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4The plan sounds viable to me. More importantly, it does not sound like more of same old ' ladling water out of the deep end of the pool and pouring it into the shallow end and expecting it to make a difference in the water depth' kind of politico-theatre we are force fed every day from the status quo lovers in congress.
- PongGod, on 01/25/2008, -0/+4Romney likes to boast about how he's for free markets, but then wants the federal government to offer subsidies for the auto industry, insurance industry, banking industry, etc... He's talking out of both sides of his mouth.
- Gene1200, on 01/25/2008, -0/+4John McCain...clueless about the Plunge Protection Team !

- Trillion08, on 01/25/2008, -0/+3The 150B bush tax rebate is a f&cking joke.. unfortunately there aer people who will fall for it.
Just ask yourself this: How is $800 F!CKING DOLLARS going to help someone who is unemployed? - MindStalker, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3He supported the tax cuts before he opposed them! :)
JK, but seriously back in 2001 Bush was still promising to lower federal spending (surprise, he lied). Tax cuts WITH federal spending cuts are good things. The newest tax cut proposals Paul is actually against because they don't include spending cuts and he knows that no spending cuts will be forthcoming. - Cache22, on 01/24/2008, -2/+5Link not working, tried reposting and got the same problem, copy and paste this into address bar:
www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2005/cr041405.htm - mettycat, on 01/25/2008, -0/+3Dr. Paul's economic plan is probably the most detailed plan that I have seen thus far from any candidate. The other Presidential hopefuls have put out economic plans but those plans lack substance. They detail the sorts of "free Government goodies" they will deliver to their base but do not state how the Government will to pay for it. Still other candidates vow to cut taxes across the board but fail to mention what measures the Government will have to take to make up for the shortfall in tax revenues. Dr. Paul's plan is very promising and covers all aspects. This is the best plan that I have seen by far.
- cgbspender, on 01/25/2008, -0/+2And what is that "stupid crap"? What he says is basically "follow the constitution". Is the constitution crap?
