- markbrown, on 11/08/2007, -12/+83I thought Ron Paul was just a lot of internet hype until I actually started watching him in debates.
That man ... ***** brilliant. Honestly, he's what this country needs right now. - synarchy, on 11/06/2007, -15/+62What a day, largely a result of http://www.thisnovember5th.com/. This certainly will be an Internet fund raising record for a presidential candidate. Let's see if the MSM bother to report on it.
- Zaneris, on 11/06/2007, -7/+50If the MSM doesn't report on it, there's always the tubes and word of mouth, which will result in a lot of people questioning places like CNN and Fox why they never reported it.
- wickedlogic, on 11/06/2007, -3/+41Hey, us people on the internets have moneys... lets see if this sinks in.
We vote, we organize, we share, we are techies, we are parents, we are gun owners, and we are very unhappy with the status quo. - bariswheel, on 11/06/2007, -20/+57The anti-ron paulites managed to bury this story;

They are systematic and extremely fast. The Digg staff needs to do something about organized burying.

Donate what you can, even as little as a $5 donation will help. - SenatorChubby, on 11/06/2007, -8/+43donated $125. I really hope this man wins.
- libertyfriend, on 11/06/2007, -13/+48Thanks for the heads up alex...hopefully Paul can at least break the internet fundraising record. Either way it will have been a good day for the Paul campaign.
- LordSkywalker, on 11/06/2007, -12/+42Well it's at about $5.3 now, and like someone else mentioned, tons of people will be donation after work when they get home, so expect to see it keep rising till late night. He'll undoubtedly pass it. And then once the MSM picks up on this over the next 2-3 days, expect to see even more people donate after hearing about Paul for the first time.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -11/+37We hit the front page! Eat it, Ron Paul Bury Brigade!!!
- wvaughan, on 11/15/2007, -2/+26I kicked in another $50 to Ron Paul. Even if he doesn't win, his voice needs to be heard by more Americans.
- libertyfriend, on 11/06/2007, -9/+33I think there really will be a "surge" in supporters and donations as more people realize whats happening and jump on the bandwagon. All I can say is, its a good bandwagon to be on. Freedom is popular!
- lechuga, on 11/06/2007, -5/+29Man this guy is raking more than $1200 a minute!! (according to my 4 minute calculations)
- mediaspree, on 11/06/2007, -8/+30He got my Benjamin
- inactive, on 11/06/2007, -5/+26Throughout all of this, the only thing I can think about is media coverage. Sure he's raising over six million dollars, roughly, but what it all comes down to is the News. I'm just hoping this is finally enough to put him on their radar. If they finally cover him, even just a little, it'll massively boost his publicity. Although I doubt that will happen, due to the conflicts of interest between the MSM and Dr. Paul. Perhaps even if they just mention his name, and say that he beat a fundraising record, that should be enough!
- chrisc3, on 11/06/2007, -12/+32Amazing how i'm Canadian and love Ron Paul
- alexhud, on 11/06/2007, -15/+35John Kerry holds the one-day record, raising $5.6 million on July 29, 2004, during the Democratic nomination convention.
http://video1.washingtontimes.com/dinan/2007/11/ro ... - amoirae, on 11/06/2007, -4/+24Canadians also love Celine Dion, so there's no accounting for taste.
- inactive, on 11/05/2007, -10/+30Actually, when a simple majority of Digg users desire a particular story to be buried, it gets buried systematically and extremely fast. This is the way Digg.com's user moderation is designed to work.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -6/+24Liberty is popular!!
Lots of people want this man in office, not just from the US but around the world.
RP 2008 - rabidmonkey1, on 11/15/2007, -1/+16I donated at 12:05 last night and just now, at nearly 4 my donation was finally processed...We're gonna see quite a bit rolling in for quite some time after!
- JJ2K1, on 11/15/2007, -5/+20I say if Digg keeps burying and deleting all Ron Paul submissions, we as Ron Paul supporters should just quit Digg and move to some place else where they don't censor the truth. What the hell happened to Digg? Its turning into a dictatorship.
- EvansHall, on 11/08/2007, -4/+19Best money I've ever spent in my life.
- marpstar, on 11/15/2007, -3/+17Donated for the second time this year... Paul's the only candidate who will make things better... democrat or republican...
- inactive, on 11/08/2007, -4/+17Ron Paul has raised more money TODAY than Huckabee has raised in his ENTIRE CAMPAIGN

Graphs, they really are astounding. The fundraising for today is a vertical line.
Total for Q4 - http://ronpaulgraphs.com/total_donation_amount.htm
And finally a graph that really puts things in perspective...

The bury brigade censored this story
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Ron_Paul_raises_ ... - Mervz, on 11/15/2007, -9/+22taken off the front page guys... this is total bs
- Phenax, on 11/05/2007, -0/+12If you read, it says internet-based, and mentions that John Kerry's 5.6 million was the highest non-internet based.
- Malarie, on 11/05/2007, -3/+15Heh, After i Dug this page, it was no more on the front page.. I had toclick back on my browser to writethis comment...
How ***** Lame is that! - Novion76, on 11/08/2007, -4/+16http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/DROP_THE_RON_PAU ...
with over 3000 diggs got censored from front page, if that'll give you any hint. 3000 diggs dont come just randomly (well, yes they do from plenty of random people, but not without reason) - iericg, on 11/15/2007, -1/+12Hey guys contacted your local news paper and radio shows and tell them to report this story. I'm in Southern California so I emailed KFI and called the OC Register.
- nwoantibody, on 11/08/2007, -1/+12Over 500 diggs in 10 minutes o-O"
- Enochyang, on 11/05/2007, -2/+13How did this get removed from the frontpage all of a sudden? WTF?
- Sedako, on 11/15/2007, -5/+16Once again, another Ron Paul story has been buried before it even got much of a chance. At the same time a countless amount of Apple and Linux stories are made popular each week, many of which are dupes. I see people have their ***** priorities straight...
- mediaspree, on 11/15/2007, -4/+15He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
_______
He deserves every cent he gets. - Hetman, on 11/06/2007, -7/+18Good for RP and his supporters. However I thought the goal was to raise 10 million. It looks like he is going to fall short by about 5-6 mill unless the donations start speeding up.
- Malarie, on 11/08/2007, -2/+12I am Canadian, I support Ron Paul.
- TheNamesAsh, on 11/05/2007, -2/+12I put in $1000. my first ever campaign contribution to the first ever political candidate I have ever been able to get behind. Let us hope we can make a difference.
- thredden, on 11/05/2007, -3/+12i swear that i cant see this on the front page anymore. weird
- objectcode, on 11/05/2007, -3/+12wasn't gonna bury or digg but might as well digg to undo your bury
- smithfly114, on 11/05/2007, -4/+13Bingo Bango here we go!
- crash331, on 11/15/2007, -1/+10Now it's de-front paged. Submit again!
- sandman979, on 11/15/2007, -2/+11What?? 5 minutes ago this was on first page and now is nowhere to be found! This is *****.
- thredden, on 11/06/2007, -3/+11digg might seriously need to rethink some of their algorithms....
- Enochyang, on 11/05/2007, -0/+8I emailed Digg about this article and their response was:
That story was reported as lame and subsequently removed by the Digg
community. Please read our FAQ (digg.com/faq) so you understand how
Digg works.
--Digg Support - mnederlanden, on 11/05/2007, -2/+10The bury button has too much weight.
- DAaaMan64, on 11/06/2007, -1/+9ya it was taken of the front page
- Jonsblckhwk, on 11/05/2007, -1/+9the goal is 12 mill by the end of december
- jmob, on 11/15/2007, -1/+9I just donated 5 bucks. I just want him to break the record. I don't know if I would vote for him or not
- mediaspree, on 11/15/2007, -0/+8His ads are in the early primary states where they belong and make the most financial sense.
- Baelorn, on 11/15/2007, -3/+11I'll donate what I can. I'm not behind Dr.Paul 100%, Obama caught my interest early on. Having reserached and heard some of the debates though really helped understand where people come from when they push Ron Paul.
