- kemp34, on 06/24/2009, -10/+95The Federal Reserve System is a secretive, privately-owned banking cartel that has been given a legal tender debt-based fiat currency monopoly in the United States in direct opposition to plain language in the U.S. Constitution. These are just the facts.
Anyone with a decent soul and a modestly functioning brain can see that there are numerous common sense reasons to revisit the Fed, and Congress is the body that constitutionally MUST take up that discussion.
Anyone who has ever taken an oath to uphold the Constitution ought to be looking deeply into the nature of the Fed. Right now, with the unaccounted for trillions the entity is throwing around in an unchecked manner, the Fed essentially has usurped authority it does not have. The power of the purse is supposed to reside in Congress, with representatives of the People. The Fed is not accountable and resists even common sense audits.
Also, it should be noted that there is a reason Fed stories are constantly trolled by defamation characters / trolls. These folks should be seen clearly for what they are. - kemp34, on 06/24/2009, -7/+54Do you have to troll every Ron Paul article?
Do you sit there and search "Ron Paul" every half hour to be the first commenter on any thread that may mention him?
You definitely have some form of obsessive-compulsive disorder. I feel for you. - muckemuck, on 06/24/2009, -4/+46In the last week Obama and Buffet have given their "total confidence" in the Fed and praised Bernanke and the Fed for saving us all... to me this means the groundwork laid at the G20 and BRIC meeting for a global central bank and destruction of the dollar as the world reserve currency is moving forward. The Fed will play it's part in this..
- longlukey, on 06/25/2009, -10/+48Ron Paul should be our President right now
- ctiger2, on 06/24/2009, -6/+43The Federal Reserve is a corrupt banking cartel that is trying to steal the WEALTH OF THE WORLD for elite offshore bankers like Rockefellers and Rothschild types. Let us have a look at the books just once and prove me wrong.
- kemp34, on 06/24/2009, -8/+40Your statement indicates you do search the term "Ron Paul" on digg. Further proof of your uber trollery.
Every Ron Paul article I come across on digg has comments (often many are by you), but I do not search for the term "Ron Paul" as you do, so I do not see the small time stories that you must come across in your obsessive-compulsive assault on reasonableness and common sense.
As an observer of your long run behavior of lying, self-delusion, obsessive-compulsion, visions of false grandeur, and willful trolling, I can say with a level head that you need some serious professional help. I would advise something more holistic as pumping your body/brain with faulty pharmaceuticals is not the answer.
For your own sake, please take care of yourself. Thanks. - kemp34, on 06/24/2009, -7/+37So you support a privately-owned banking cartel that has been given a legal tender debt-based fiat currency monopoly in the United States in direct opposition to plain language in the U.S. Constitution?
- inactive, on 06/25/2009, -4/+32Imagine that, we have the largest organized crime syndicate in the history of the world running our economy yet our President wants to give them more power. Amazing!
The Gambino family is proud of you Obama, keep up the great work! /s - card51short, on 06/24/2009, -3/+29"Folks who worship a Politician are the sickos"
Folks who detest Paul and follow him around online calling his supporters names are...just ...weird...
How's that working out for you, NoLibs? Warning everyone of Ron Paul's sinister plans? Fear mongering, if you will ;) - alamedaman, on 06/25/2009, -4/+30Ron Paul FTMFW
www.campaignforliberty.com - kemp34, on 06/24/2009, -6/+28When all else fails, change the subject!
- inactive, on 06/25/2009, -4/+25"The Fed is accountable and is audited."
Anybody who makes this claim is not even worth debating. Somebody afraid they might lose their job? - inactive, on 06/25/2009, -5/+25Ron Paul: the right guy at the right time that will never go anywhere because he's not hooked up to the kool-aid drinking idiots in either party.
- kemp34, on 06/24/2009, -3/+23So, let's say the Fed is not "sinister and evil", would you claim that they have done a good job stewarding the economy? I would argue they have played the biggest role of any social entity in the disruptive boom-bust cycle especially of the past couple of decades. Do you see this as a positive thing for society? Even if you believe you can "navigate" the Fed's moves to make money for yourself, do you not see how a ton of people get screwed (i.e. lose 40-50% of their retirement, foreclose on a bubble house, etc.)?
- dinsy, on 06/24/2009, -5/+25The Fed is dead.
- BuddyRey, on 06/25/2009, -3/+22Ron Paul, as always, is right on the money. There is absolutely no excuse for a coercive monopoly on currency.
- Barackalypse, on 06/25/2009, -4/+23When the would be auditors cannot themselves account for the public funds they have dispersed, that should be a warning to granting them any additional power.
- funkedup, on 06/25/2009, -0/+18Consumers are responsible too of course, as is wall street. But where do you think all this mismanagement stems from? Why would all these things unravel at once? Surely, it can't be the government and the Federal Reserve. That's crazy talk you see.
To not suggest the Fed had a role in this situation is not only ignorant, delusional, and arrogant, but also shows a misunderstanding of not only economics, but in reality in general.
Sure, it feels good to say that Wall Street wrecked the country and blame free markets. Those rich bankers screwing us over., but fear not...We have omnipotent Obama coming to our rescue to save us from the evils of the free market! Thats the easy way and delusional way out. But where do you think Wall Street got all this free money? Why wouldn't they speculate with free money? Housing prices and stocks were rising. Why did the government guarentee things that it shouldn't? Why were people that were making 40k a year being approved for a 750k house with no money down?
The Federal Reserve's artificially low interest rates and monopoly on the money supply have ruined us time and time again, while the problems are being blamed on free markets. It kind of crazy really...doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Now that we have Obama and Helicopter Ben replacing Bush and Greenspan we are in for serious troubles. Doesn't a politician printing press worry you? Obama is trying to give everyone everything they want. Who cares that were 13 trillion in debt with 50 trillion in liabilities...we can just print, borrow, spend and inflate our way to prosperity!!! - Barackalypse, on 06/25/2009, -1/+19Fantastic, please show me how they spent the $1+ trillion that they are asking about at 1 minute 37 seconds into this video:
http://zerohedge.blogspot.com/2009/05/federal-rese ... - smacksaw, on 06/25/2009, -2/+19No matter how insane you are in your hate of Ron Paul, give any good reason why the Fed should be independent and unaccountable to the people and gov't of the USA.
- inactive, on 06/25/2009, -1/+17I think he's 100% right on this.
- StopTheLie, on 06/25/2009, -0/+15David Rockefeller in his book "Memoirs" page 405:
"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions.
Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure — one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." - tucosargent, on 06/25/2009, -5/+20I'm tired of the Fed devaluing the money I make with their little printing press that they have reserved for the CEOs of all the failing banks. And I'm really tired of Bernanke saying "No" when he's asked simply "Who got the money?"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_QyqGAvNvE - ZZeke, on 06/24/2009, -5/+20...just because you support it, that's WHY!
Most intelligent diggers know - if you support it, it can't be good. - inactive, on 06/25/2009, -0/+14His handle... NoLibertarians... He's obsessed with the idea of Americans having No Liberty... END THE FED... Long Live the Libertarians...
- Barackalypse, on 06/25/2009, -0/+14Who else would he entrust to do it, the "free" citizens of the "Republic" he works for?
- card51short, on 06/24/2009, -7/+20kemp34 I commend you, but it's like talking to a brick wall.
NoLibs doesn't even understand what the The Fed is. He's heard our side he's heard theirs. He took their side. That's fine. Why he chooses to follow us around and remind us what side he has chosen is on him.
He's a 60 year old man and he'll have to explain why he wasted his last years stirring the cyber-pot.
I honestly, truly feel bad for this guy. - thecoolestguy, on 06/25/2009, -2/+15A central bank that controls the printing press for the world's currency would create the mother of all targets for special interest groups.
You get someone into the decision making body that decides by how much the money supply will be expanded by each year, and you can make a fortune speculating at the expense of the global economy. - card51short, on 06/24/2009, -4/+17you cared enough to listen, click on the article, then comment on it...online.
- reeds1999, on 06/25/2009, -1/+14Regardless of political 'suasion, transparency in the fed's operations is a good thing.
Encourage your congresspersons to support this bill. - OrangeTide, on 06/25/2009, -2/+15Why does Ron Paul and Libertarians threaten you so?
- swoopdog, on 06/25/2009, -3/+16Thanks Paul for speaking on behalf of the other 90% of us!
- jbnumba1, on 06/25/2009, -2/+15No, I think he has fantastic dreams of breaking down its doors and crushing it.
- thecoolestguy, on 06/25/2009, -4/+16It doesn't include off-balance transactions. It also doesn't include the recipients of federal reserve loans, or what collateral was accepted for the loans.
The Inspector General of the Federal Reserve couldn't even tell where $9 trillion worth of loans went:

“I don’t trust any of them. Ron Paul is the only guy I trust. If I had one wish… one wish… I’d like to line up all the members of Congress, and have Ron Paul walk with me down the line and say, ‘Okay, which one’s corrupted? Which one’s corrupted?’ And the ones he points to… I will choke them unconscious. And stick them into a pile.” - richmomz, on 06/24/2009, -2/+13Because.

- inactive, on 06/25/2009, -3/+12I used to subscribe to US News & World Report long ago. Keep it up with interviews such as this and I may re-think my cancellation.
- thelostviking22, on 06/25/2009, -1/+10i'd love to. not that i hate obama, but paul would've been a better president.
- kemp34, on 06/25/2009, -1/+10So funkywood, you like the part where he admits to working against the best interests of the United States?
- Unreal030, on 06/25/2009, -2/+11Your right it only took you five seconds to procure that. In the same time, you have shown us that you are completely ignorant about the situation and shouldn't be opening your mouth when it comes to any conversation about it.
Interview with the Inspector General of the Federal Reserve (the one in charge of auditing) SHE KNOWS NOTHING. She is not able to answer a SINGLE question Arlen Specter is asking, and some of them are very basic questions that she should be able to answer regardless.
Also, where did the 1 trillion disappear to? I will give you my years salary if you can show me where it is on the balance sheets. FYI, I make a pretty decent salary since I am an economist and we are in a recession/depression.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJqM2tFOxLQ - EzraDogPound, on 06/24/2009, -3/+11Do you think Ron Paul ever has nightmares about the Fed and wakes up in a cold sweat?
- geekee, on 06/25/2009, -1/+9You are so clueless. The Fed is essentially couterfeiting money now, because no one will loan Obama any more money to support his 1.6 Trillion budget deficit.
- Abatrour, on 06/25/2009, -2/+10You guys could impeach Obama for violating the 10th Amendment.... but you wont.
- richmomz, on 06/24/2009, -5/+13I think I remember the Second National Bank saying something similar to Andrew Jackson - remind me again how that turned out.
