- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -14/+83Ron Paul is the only one who made any sense at all in the debates... except for McCain being undisputably against torture which was kind of cool... it reminded of the days when McCain had some integrity.
- tidu, on 10/11/2007, -16/+84was anyone else disgusted when everyone applauded for the torture supporters? wtf?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -13/+77Giuliani attacked Ron Paul and put words in his mouth like a Sean Hannity when Paul explained why the terrorists keep targeting Americans. And then Rudy got a huge applause.
This is what America thinks is "conservatism".
Tell me how this country isn't screwed. - greenamp, on 10/11/2007, -14/+72haha Ron Paul is #1 so far in Fox new's "who won" poll. LMAO ***** you Fox news. ***** you Giuliani.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -12/+67My jaw dropped when the torturers got loud applauds... WTF? THAT is why "they" hate us! What the hell have we become as a nation?
- abitarecatania, on 10/11/2007, -15/+70Ron Paul won the first debate and anyone who watched the debate knows it.

Youtube first GOP debate Ron Paul:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peBGJwE9NXo - abitarecatania, on 10/11/2007, -13/+68I like Rudy, but you are an idiot if you do not know or understand the fact that "blowback" to our stupid and misguided foreign policy is one of the causes of 9-11. The 15 Saudis, who attacked us were reacting to our Bases there!
Ron Paul is right, this a war with out end and the politicans love to spend the money. - shakingfist, on 10/11/2007, -26/+76Go Ron!
- stonewaljacksn, on 10/11/2007, -13/+59He believes that the Federal Reserve is screwing us the hell over, which is 100% true. Only...certain people...call that a conspiracy theory.
Giuliani lit up Ron Paul for over something that the MODERATOR said. Sure, anyone with half a brain knows that Ron Paul was right, but we ARE talking about the Republican party, so that made Paul look really bad.
Did anyone else notice how HILARIOUS Giuliani's little twitch/tick thing was when he interrupted the debate to comment to RP. I almost cried laughing. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -11/+56Herk, you ARE delusional. Ron Paul proved he is the only electable candidate in the GOP. Do you think any of those pro war pro torture ***** can win the GENERAL ELECTION? Think about it, winning the nomination is only half the battle and everyone besides Paul has already lost the second half before the first half has been decided!
- emjaymj, on 10/11/2007, -14/+59Just want to call attention to the msnbc poll on who won the 2nd debate. Before the debate, both Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliana were ahead of Ron Paul. After the debate, Ron Paul is MORE than convincingly ahead.
If it was just online zealots voting him up all the time like some people would have you believe, he'd have been way ahead BEFORE the debate too. - abitarecatania, on 10/11/2007, -17/+61Ron Paul won the first debate and anyone who watched the debate knows it.
- tidu, on 10/11/2007, -14/+55Did Romney look innately evil to anyone, or is it just me?
- greenamp, on 10/11/2007, -13/+54Ron Paul was spot on about our screwed up foreign policy and it's relation to 9/11. Giuliani is a total scumbag, and his using the events of 9/11 as a political opportunity is ludicrous and completely disrespectful to the individuals who lost their lives in the tragedy.
And on a side note, did anyone else notice that the scenario they created in the last round of questioning was taken directly from the script of 24? "Terrorists have set off bombs in three malls across the country, what would you do?" Fox news is joke. - Guitarzan, on 10/11/2007, -9/+49Free publicity courtesy of Giuliani, i'm lovin' it. Go Dr P!
- AKBryant54, on 10/11/2007, -8/+45"You beat this man long enough and he'll tell you he started the goddamn chicago fire, but that doesn't necessarily make it so!"
paraphrased from Reservoir Dogs - Enyal110, on 10/11/2007, -10/+47That exchange coupled with the crowds response made me physically ill.
- TrybalRage, on 10/11/2007, -11/+47Go Ron! The only thing I wish he had gotten right back in Giuliani's stupid face. Bravo at least for not backing down.
- kinghajj, on 10/11/2007, -10/+45can you provide sources that he believes in the Illuminati?
- TrybalRage, on 10/11/2007, -11/+45Herkimer, you are delusional. What, the terrorists jumped right past Europe at us because we are 'free'?
- Pssdoff, on 10/11/2007, -10/+44I think Rudy should take back HIS statement that American Foreign Policy had nothing to do with the cause of 9/11.
Maybe then he wouldn't sound like such a tool. - UTHTURN, on 10/11/2007, -15/+47Go Ron Paul !!! . He did awesome tonight. He was exactly right about his comments on 911 being blowback.
- painted82, on 10/11/2007, -11/+43We have serious problems in this country if Ron Paul looks bad for telling the truth...
I'm really starting to hate my country... It's disgusting. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -23/+55I'm not a Ron Paul fan (mostly because of the fact that he believes in the Illuminati as a global conspiracy) but he ruled tonight... He really gave Giuliani a good smacking about how our foreign policy caused 9/11.
I was a MessNBC man until the Imus thing, but oh man was this debate better. Other than Paul I think Romney, Tancredo, and Hunter did well. Romney will probably get the nomination. - painted82, on 10/11/2007, -9/+39Fox news is against Ron Paul.... What better reason is there to vote for this guy!!!!
***** FOX NEWS - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -7/+36It only records 1 vote per phone #
- rgodfrey, on 10/11/2007, -16/+44Go diggers! ... to http://www.ronpaul2008.com and give him $25. Let's make him a mainstream candidate!
- AKBryant54, on 10/11/2007, -15/+40"THIS IS AMERICA!!! We don't take responsibility for our military actions!!!!!!"
- ajamer, on 10/11/2007, -7/+31"They attack us because we've been over there. We've been bombing Iraq for 10 years. We've been in the Middle East — I think (Ronald) Reagan was right. We don't understand the irrationality of Middle Eastern politics. Right now, we're building an embassy in Iraq that is bigger than the Vatican. We're building 14 permanent bases. What would we say here if China was doing this in our country or in the Gulf of Mexico? We would be objecting," Paul said in explaining his opposition to going to war in Iraq.
"They are delighted that we're over there because Usama bin Laden has said 'I'm glad you're over on our sand because we can target you so much easier.' They have already now since that time they've killed 3,400 of our men and I don't think it was necessary," Paul continued
"That's really an extraordinary statement," Giuliani said, interrupting FOX News panelist Wendell Goler. "That's really an extraordinary statement, as someone who lived through the attack of Sept. 11, that we invited the attack because we were attacking Iraq. I don't think I have ever heard that before and I have heard some pretty absurd explanations for Sept. 11. I would ask the congressman withdraw that comment and tell us that he didn't really mean that."
Paul did not, eliciting a flurry of candidates seeking to get their 30 seconds to rebut him.
Finally, Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo managed to get in his two cents, when he responded to a question saying that reducing U.S. dependence on petroleum would not only help with global warming, but is a national security issue.
"My dear friend Ron here, I dearly love and really respect, but I'll tell you, I just have to disagree with you, Ron, about the issue of whether or not — whether Israel existed or didn't, whether or not we were in Iraq or not, they would be trying to kill us, because it is a dictate of their religion, at least a part of it. And we have to defend ourselves," he said.
wow just wow
Paul is exactly right. Our years of meddling in the middle east has created terrorism.
Guilliani responds by saying he was at ground zero and calling him an idiot.
Tancredo responds by calling Arabs inherently savage and that we must defend ourselves from them - kinghajj, on 10/11/2007, -10/+34He may be gone, but he's right. As of now, he has my vote. (Of course, there's 18 months until the election, and a lot can change.)
- mattsw84, on 10/11/2007, -6/+30 I hope all you diggers that love Ron so much are donating money to his campaign cause hes gonna go broke fast.
- torched, on 10/11/2007, -19/+42R7 FOR LIFE!
text R7 to #36988 to vote for Ron Paul - twoblink, on 10/11/2007, -6/+27The sad part is Americans are now a bunch of pansies who don't have the guts to vote for the right person..
I for one will vote for Ron.. - greenamp, on 10/11/2007, -12/+33Show Faux News and the Giuliani machine they can't steam roll the democratic process. Vote for Ron Paul in the Fox post debate poll by texting R7 to 36988.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -10/+31"Yea, I'm probably gonna get dugg down for these questions, but oh well.
Is Ron Paul Repbulican?
If so, what makes him stand out(besides his apparent intelligence)?"
Yes, he's a Republican, but on very good terms with the libritarian party..
He stands out because he is consistent. He makes sense, and his solutions, although they seem a little out there, are what may be necessary to fix a lot of our problems. - cphuntington97, on 10/11/2007, -9/+30Ron Paul's voting record is immaculate. He has consistently defended the US Constitution, privacy, non-interventionist foreign policy, and State's rights.
If only the GOP would nominate him, I would be more than happy to give him my vote. And I'm a card carrying Democrat. - greenamp, on 10/11/2007, -11/+32We funded and supported Bin Laden and the creation of the Talliban during the cold war. We funded and supported Saddam's regime, and even provided him the dreaded weapons of mass destruction we were lied to about being the reason for invading Iraq.
Now tell me again how we did nothing to invoke 9/11? - hmac, on 10/11/2007, -3/+23I will vote for Ron Paul if he continues to be as consistent as he has proven to be so far.
I don't give a damn if he doesn't win the GOP nomination. I'll write the guy in myself. - wakananda, on 10/11/2007, -2/+22And ripping Ron Paul for "believing in the New World Order?" I remember GHW Bush and the spud-bot, Quail, yammering about the "New World Order" so much I was sick of it. It was the big dream they were trying to sell, on the propaganda model of Hitler's "New Order" in Europe. We all heard it, over and over again. Poppy Bush said it about 13 times during his State of the Union Address. And now, if you believe that the PTB want to create a "New World Order," you're supposed to be paranoid? That's just willfully ignorant. Or else you get a kick out of deceiving ignorant people - god knows that's a growth industry...
- AKBryant54, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21I'm looking forward to the reaction from this, i wonder if John Stewart will have him as a guest now?
- brunner, on 10/11/2007, -16/+34To clarify, you must send a text message to the phone number 36988 with the text R7 in order to vote for Ron Paul. This is the Fox News poll following the Republican debate.
- fishpicker, on 10/11/2007, -8/+26Rudy sounded really pissy when he attacked Ron Paul. Dr. Paul didnt even say what Giuliani accused him of saying. Giuliani is a walking parody of himself, he wants to interject 9/11 into everything. what else is new? It's the only thing Rudy has going for him. Fox News tried so hard to put the magnifying glass on anything Ron Paul does that goes against the party line.
- Crazychipmunk, on 10/11/2007, -8/+25Yea, I'm probably gonna get dugg down for these questions, but oh well.
Is Ron Paul Repbulican?
If so, what makes him stand out(besides his apparent intelligence)?
I've seen that alot of diggers support him, curious what he is all about. - greenamp, on 10/11/2007, -10/+27Ron Pual just owned Shawn Hannity on Faux.
- Proximity, on 10/11/2007, -11/+28I LOVE.. I loooooove that Ron Paul is still winning Fox News' poll on who won the debate and they're absolutely shocked at that as if it's surprising that Americans are sick of wishy-washy smooth talking politicians instead of someone who's interested in their rights and liberties. Love it.
- jimmydemoret, on 10/11/2007, -9/+25RP is winning the Fox poll and they are pissed, he way won those debates, both of them, peace...
- stonhaus, on 10/11/2007, -9/+24If someone would have told me that I would consider voting for a Republican from Texas 2 months ago, I would have shat myself.
But now.....
Ron Paul 2008 - waluum, on 10/11/2007, -5/+20I agree, man. McCain did at one point have integrity, until he compromised it by siding with Bush and slowly changing his interests. Ron Paul is like the old John McCain, but times 10!
- Jaymo89, on 10/11/2007, -4/+19@jcm267 (#6705926)
What's with you Americans? There's a big ***** Illuminati symbol on your $1 note.
I'm not saying the Illuminati runs the US, but it's certainly a possibility. - waluum, on 10/11/2007, -4/+19Did anyone see the four guys (Hannity and Colmes being two of them) at the end of their commentary session, after they interviewed all of the candidates, completely taking Ron Paul's comments out of context? Anyone who knows the history on this issue of terrorism and international relations from the last 40 years or so knows how Ron Paul was absolutely historically accurate and dead on with his analysis.
What was even funnier, though, is how all four of those guys said that Ron Paul only won because he has more people out there texting for him, and that they don't matter - they said they're as worthless as internet polls. That was absolutely contradictory to (a) actually having the poll in the first place, and (b) their earlier praise of the other candidates that they interviewed before Ron Paul based on their results in their poll.
HEH - yeah, 'heh' is all they deserve. What else can I say? It's FOX News! And what's ironic about that is Ron Paul even won their poll! HEH! -
