- billyjack1958, on 06/06/2008, -3/+49They don't want us there and we don't want us there and Dr Ron Paul is the only one who seems to get it. Ron Paul has my vote no matter what....once again he proves he's the only viable and principled presidential candidate we've got.
- conza88, on 06/06/2008, -4/+49Even through language barriers Ron Paul can cut through the BS.
- RuffRidr, on 06/06/2008, -2/+46Obama talks the talk, Paul walks the walk.

"Now if that line of questioning isn't presidential I dont know what is......its almost as if he actually cares if our little war is helpful in the country we are supposidly helpings view. The way I heard it it sounds like Iraq is more ready for us to leave than we are." - inactive, on 06/06/2008, -4/+41Petition to the National GOP

http://www.lettertogop.com/ - kemp34, on 06/06/2008, -6/+37Ron Paul is the only one talking sense on this issue. Are our politicians using the military to defend America, the Constitution and the people? Or is the military being used to defend special "interests"? I think if you listen to some pols speak, you get a quick understanding that we are fighting for interests. Bring the troops home. Defend the U.S., the people and the Constitution. No more wars for profiteering, control and plunder. End the insanity.
- badassninja, on 06/07/2008, -1/+25Write in Ron Paul. How could you not want someone who takes names and kicks ass like this?
- PhantomBantam, on 06/07/2008, -2/+26Has Obama ever even mentioned the embassy or bases?
- SignOfHope, on 06/07/2008, -1/+22An elected official doing his job.
Take a screenshot guys; it'll last longer. - shycyberguy, on 06/07/2008, -2/+21 Americans don't want to be in Iraq, the Iraqis don't want us there, yet we're building something like 50 permanent bases. Pure luncacy...

- FrozenPie, on 06/07/2008, -1/+13Nationalism still exist and is growing. Our presences over there is causing more harm than good.
Metaphorically speaking, what if the world's emerging superpower establish military bases around the continental US? Imagine the Chinese establishing a "missile shield" in Mexico and Canada, imagine the American people's reaction to this external threat? Think Cuban Missile Crisis, where we came pretty close to mutual assure destruction with nuclear weapons. This was a heighten time during the Cold War that many people forgotten which could not be compared to the threat of terrorism we face today.
Ron Paul hits the nail dead on in his policies, although there are some which I object to. Overall, I rather support this man over Obama because he speaks the truth in light of how awful reality seems. It's a shame Dr. Paul has no chance of becoming president, but at least I'm happy to be part of this Revolution where the message of freedom is spreading. Perhaps one day in the future... a new leader will arise to keep this message alive and strong. - inactive, on 06/07/2008, -0/+11Ron Paul is the only candidate qualified to be president. The others have violated their oath of offfice by not demanding a declaration of war before troops hit the ground.
Obama says he will make sure we have no troops in Iraq by changing their name to strike force.
Obama has consistently voted to fund the Iraq use of force.
McCain thinks we should be there indefinitely.
Ron Paul knows we can't afford to be there and it is dragging our economy down as well as the loss of prestige in the world.
If you want to continue stupid foreign policy, support a Senator. It does not matter which one. - inactive, on 06/07/2008, -3/+14Lier.
Ron Paul believes in variation. He doesn't accept the theory of macro-evolution. He is a medical doctor. He doesn't push his beliefs on anyone else. He is conservative and follows the constitution. He doesn't believe the Federal government should interfere with your personal life or push it's beliefs on people.
You said he wants to allow public schools to lead prayers, but the truth is that Ron Paul doesn't believe the Federal government should get involved in your personal life and the states should be in charge of these things.
You said he wants to amend the constitution to ban abortions and gay marriage. Ron has said time and time again that the Federal government is not to be involved in such things and the states should determine what happens in their individual states. This way, the people decide what is best for themselves.
I have to call you a lier. Your political motivation... well, according to your history and your icon in your profile, you appear to be anti-Christian. That is your choice, but I am a man against hate and you seem to be filled with it, so I have to call you out. - AlwaysAwake, on 06/07/2008, -1/+11Whether we label them The Western World Corporate/Banking Cartel; The New World Order; Illuminati; or The Bilderberg Group, it is they who have planned and ordered the War on Iraq, so that the Military Industrial Complex will have a secure regional base of operations within the Super Fortress "Embassy". And now, thanks to agreement by our puppet government in Iraq, 41 military bases from which to conduct unrestricted military and intelligence gathering operations through all of the Middle east; and much of Africa; Europe; and Asia, within a totally controlled environment. It will allow them to bring in, and employ all their secret weapons and technologies, far from the prying eyes and ears normally monitoring elsewhere.
- Knabber, on 06/07/2008, -2/+12MF OWNED.
This is clear, this is concise, the Iraqi's do not want us there with giant military bases, and rediculous mini city embassies. Obama and all the rest actually back that idea. Did they ever stop to ask the Iraqi people? OF COURSE NOT, they don't even ask us anymore if they can ram one up our behind. - brandoj, on 06/07/2008, -1/+11One citation: http://www.hithimagain.com/2008/05/12/iraqi-people ...
41 military bases to be more precise - soulkitchen, on 06/07/2008, -0/+9That line of reasoning also applies to the (in)famous "America, love it or leave it" slogan. But if you truly love America, you'd stay and try to change it for the better. Ron Paul cares enough about his party, but even more so about the country that he's trying to turn them around rather than abandoning them.
And more to the point, how can you leave the Republican party, not join the Democratic party and still be heard by the masses? - kHealy, on 06/07/2008, -1/+9This video is awesome. He actually gets real answers out of people and doesn't BS!
- BaneMaler, on 06/07/2008, -1/+8I keep telling you folks, this man deserves some type of award for his pursuit of peace.

http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Letter_To_The_Na ... - etherreal, on 06/07/2008, -1/+6Ya, they got it after they approved the funding....time and time again. Makes perfect sense.
- DigDugDigger, on 06/07/2008, -0/+5I was impressed with Paul. The Iraqi politician, like his American counterparts, just dodged the first question and thought it was over. He was mistaken.
- shycyberguy, on 06/07/2008, -5/+9Americans don't want to be in Iraq, the Iraqs don't want us there, yet we're building 50 permanent bases. Pure lunacy.
- janeuner, on 06/07/2008, -0/+4If I'm not mistaken, the term "christian fundamentalist" refers, at least in popular culture, to a person who not only lives strictly according to a particular interpretation of Christian Doctrine, but also wishes to impose that doctrine on others. If I wished to demonstrate that Ron Paul was not this brand of christian fundamentalist, I would use the very same points that you used to say that he was:
* His political platform does not in any way mandate or limit science education, whether the topic is evolution or not.
* He wants to public schools to allow (or disallow) prayer time based upon their own judgement. He also wants to promote home/alternate schooling choices, so if you disapprove of the choice your local school makes, you can circumvent their decision.
* He wants to amend the constitution to allow individual states to ban (or permit) abortions and/or gay marriage. Considering that murder and manslaughter cases are handled by state governments, and that marriage licenses are issued by county governments, this is a reasonable division of powers. Your assertion that he lied in is Iowa straw poll speech lacks references...consider documenting your sources.
To verify my assertions, consider checking the dozens of private websites that track the voting records of our politicians. Or, watch the Iowa Straw Poll speech. - janeuner, on 06/07/2008, -0/+3Hope. False hope, perhaps, but it is better than abandon.
- inactive, on 06/07/2008, -0/+3not buried. You however will be. :-)
- brandoj, on 06/08/2008, -0/+3I've got a cite for that too:
Iraq Wants US to Leave http://www.hithimagain.com/2008/01/13/iraq-wants-t ... - zuma777, on 06/07/2008, -0/+3Grammar Nazi
- RuffRidr, on 06/07/2008, -0/+3Really? All I see is that they used it in their campaigns to take over Congress in 2006. Despite all their promises at the time, they haven't done ***** to stop the war. And as etherreal has said, they have even approved funding time and time again. The Democratic Presidential nominees tried the same tactic. They were all for pulling out the troops immediately. Now that it is getting down to the general election, Obama is changing his rhetoric slightly. Watch, when he gets in office, nothing will change. Bank on it.
- carson4rp, on 06/07/2008, -1/+4I'm with you bad ass!
- inactive, on 06/07/2008, -5/+7This is coming from someone who hates Christians. Your motivation has been exposed.
- callmebas, on 06/09/2008, -0/+2A true patriot. Oh.. where is Obama? If he really wanted change I'm sure he'd be up there doing the samething.
- Hortnon, on 06/07/2008, -2/+3Because it's YouTube, not CSPAN HD
- blarch, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1i'm wondering why the videos are blurred after 0:37 and 5:58
- janeuner, on 06/07/2008, -2/+2You are voting neither Democrat nor Republican? I can digg that~
- Hortnon, on 06/07/2008, -5/+4Because only blind Obama followers hate Ron Paul right?
You know that Paul clearly had the largest internet following of any of the candidates, and you can only manage 4200 signatures, right? - Hortnon, on 06/07/2008, -6/+4[citation needed]
- quaxon, on 06/07/2008, -9/+6No, he is not, maybe on foreign policy, but his domestic policy is absolute *****. He wants to hand america over (even more) to corporations and fundamentalist christians. The only two candidates who are perfect all around were Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel. You can always tell a good candidate because they will be completely slaughtered by the media and you cant put faith into the average american to actually research a candidate instead of simply get their news from TV or mainstream newspapers.
- Hortnon, on 06/07/2008, -7/+3@brokencrystal

Source?

So, you would accept a "prayer period" in your child's public school, where the children are lead in Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Mormon prayer?

Sanctity of Life Act. Get back to me when you've read it.

YOUR agenda has been made clear. - michaelpinto, on 06/07/2008, -8/+4A "LIER" is someone who lies down, a "LIAR" is someone who doesn't tell the truth. I bet next you'll be selling us on the value of homeschooling and then yammering on about how English should be our official language.
- michaelpinto, on 06/07/2008, -6/+2Then why hasn't Paul walked out of his party?
