- chicagojack, on 05/19/2009, -30/+358Is it too late to vote for Ron Paul in the 2008 election???
- alamedaman, on 05/20/2009, -20/+273Don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul!
- edstate, on 05/19/2009, -19/+252State's Rights FTW.
- Carramrod72, on 05/20/2009, -17/+186 RON PAUL
WAS RIGHT - inactive, on 05/20/2009, -15/+172RON PAUL 2012!!!
- nanowerx, on 05/20/2009, -16/+159I am all about Ron Paul. A politician with rational thoughts, there's an interesting idea!
- inactive, on 05/20/2009, -6/+104Ron Paul didn't say that people who get addicted shouldn't get treatment, he said the government shouldn't have to PAY for the treatment. As a Libertarian, Ron Paul (as do I) expect each individual to take personal responsibility for THEIR OWN ACTIONS.
If you get yourself hooked on drugs, then you pay for the treatment to get yourself un-hooked from drugs. Bam! - rolf, on 05/20/2009, -7/+103You can support his son, Rand Paul, in the Kentucky Senate Race, for 2010:
http://www.randpaul2010.com/rand_paul - redrock34, on 05/20/2009, -1/+92I think the government should at least stop the propaganda with those "Above the influence" commercials. Those commercials are filled with stereotypes and false information.
- NSResponder, on 05/20/2009, -5/+80Correction: Ron Paul IS right.
-jcr - JanusTheDoorman, on 05/20/2009, -10/+77Paul/Paul 2012, muthafukkah!
***** sandwiches, we cut government, muthafukkah!
Yes, I'm that bored. Time to find a summer job. - inactive, on 05/20/2009, -12/+77He is absolutely right. Ninety percent of what the federal government does is unconstitutional. The states DO have a constitutional right to legalize pot. They also have the constitutional right to ban abortion and same-sex marriage. But, that's where you libs suddenly want nothing to do with the Constitution. Cafeteria Americans. You take what you want and leave the rest.
- inactive, on 05/19/2009, -7/+71Yes.
- mrcaulfield, on 05/20/2009, -9/+72The problem with Paul/Ventura 2012 is that it makes too much sense.
The idea that we should stop our foreign policy of imperializing the world (since the late 1800's)
is just one of many issues that "true Americans" don't really grasp. - LibertyPaine, on 05/19/2009, -7/+64Some ganja would do wonders for your personality.
- newman8r, on 05/20/2009, -3/+54then you just don't know much about Ron Paul and his support base...
People like Ron Paul for so many other reasons besides legalization of cannabis; they like the fact that he respects the constitution and that he doesn't want to spend trillions of dollars abroad when our own infrastructure is ailing.
I don't get your argument... you're saying that because people in this thread praise Ron Paul for his pro legalization stance, that must be the only reason they support him - goodinohio, on 05/20/2009, -9/+54All Paul talks about is freedom, civil liberties and sound money and the brainwashed R and D left and right idiots choose tyranny. Think for yourself, you're not on a team. They don't give a ***** about you.
- inactive, on 05/20/2009, -4/+48YES
- SoulGrub, on 05/20/2009, -9/+49The fact is that, on any given issue, the people care more about the practical consequences than whether it is constitutional or unconstitutional. That's probably why not everyone is onboard the ron paul bandwagon just yet.
- TsuruchiBrian, on 05/20/2009, -3/+43What are the practical consequences for a government ignoring it's own laws when it is inconvenient to do so?
Maybe a complete lack of respect by society for the rule of law?
A dictatorship is really much more practical when you think about it. - 2Six119, on 09/10/2009, -0/+39This doesn't mean he's pro pot it means he's anti-government
- yarcod, on 05/19/2009, -6/+43Nah you've got that one on lockdown NoLib
- asylumz, on 05/20/2009, -5/+41Ron Paul is a Libertarian. Do your research people, the Libertarian party is the only party that makes sense anymore. But it'll never be publicized because everything now is just about money. Get informed, spread the word. Libertarians just make sense.
- emazur, on 05/20/2009, -5/+41Dugg, but dude who wrote that article seems like big brother's pawn
- numb, on 05/20/2009, -6/+41Even after the president of the Austin NAACP publicly called the racism attacks against Ron Paul part of a smear campaign the race-baiters still love trotting out this BS. Using false accusations of racism to make political points is abhorrent. People like you disgust me. I hope people that truly care about racism continue to bury you and your ilk.
- Waiting2awake, on 05/20/2009, -0/+35But that is all they have. What are you going to do have a legitimate discussion on cannibus? And have people find out it is less harmful than coffee? Nope, no sir ree, that will never do.
- TsuruchiBrian, on 05/20/2009, -1/+36The Federal government is not allowed by the constitution (the supreme law of the land) to make a law prohibiting marijuana.
In the 20's the federal government had the decency to pass a constitutional amendment to prohibit alcohol, and another to end prohibition. Nowadays they just ignore the law and do whatever they wand regardless.
The DEA should not exist. You may be correct in saying "they are not going away any time soon", but that is not a good argument for tolerating their existence. You could use that same argument to say we shouldn't bother trying to catch murderers because there will always be murderers. - RonPauls, on 05/20/2009, -7/+41wow...
the same old insults that have been debunked over and over again
you can't criticize him on his pro-liberty record, so just say he hates blacks and "science" - shininia, on 05/20/2009, -3/+32Why would you care what he believes in if he wants to make sure it can't be forced on you?
- japface, on 05/20/2009, -3/+32Ron Paul is awesome, but the guy who wrote this article is a complete idiot.
- the2989, on 05/20/2009, -6/+34It's too bad you have that username. We can throw all the logic in the world at you and you still wouldn't change your views, due to fear of contradicting your username.
- TsuruchiBrian, on 05/20/2009, -3/+31ditto
- richmomz, on 05/20/2009, -3/+30If you've got 1.21 gigawatts and a car that can do 88mph then maybe not!
- govtdoesnotwork, on 05/20/2009, -2/+29Nope. Ron Paul TOLD YOU SO, so calling him names like "an idiot" is a good way of both trolling and trying to hide the truth from your own tiny brain. But the truth remains the truth, and the troll remains an impotent troll. Buried.
- Fuxienz, on 05/20/2009, -0/+26Is it just a coincidence that in every photograph Sensible Paul is pictured in some contorted face shot?
- tao52nyc, on 05/20/2009, -2/+28There's a guy at my office - works in accounting - sharp as ever - at age 90. People are living longer and having healthier productive lives. This is no longer a rarity, so get over it. I don't mind a 76-year-old president, as long as he shows some genuine wisdom and principles that reflect my own. Reagan was 69 when he first took office and 77 when he left. RP's in much better shape.
- NSResponder, on 05/20/2009, -3/+28You should look into the history of the Fugitive Slave Law. Sometimes, it's the states that protect our civil rights from the feds.
-jcr - NSResponder, on 05/20/2009, -0/+25You are confused about the role of the president. The president's job is to run one of three co-equal branches of the federal government. The idea that one person "runs the country" is what we fought against when we overthrew our king.
-jcr - thecoolestguy, on 05/20/2009, -4/+28it's possible for laws to be created in contravention to the Constitution. He is right.
- gyrfalcon, on 05/20/2009, -2/+26Ron Paul did not DENY EVOLUTION, he said he didn't believe in it and gave his personal view.

People like to tear it down to a simple soundbite. - hardwarehank, on 05/20/2009, -2/+26Same here. Then I didn't vote for president in the general election. Only bad choices were given in the multiple choice quiz.
- morepowerr, on 05/20/2009, -3/+27The US along with it's people were sold to the banks a long time ago. and as long as there is oil groups out there hemp will remain illegal. Along with anything else that poses a threat to them.
- firex726, on 05/20/2009, -1/+25he's got a chance
- bonmot5, on 05/20/2009, -19/+43@ NoLib- I don't think Ron Paul's age would be what gets him killed, it would be another Kennedy assassination. I GUARANTEE NoLib would have swallowed the Warren Commission's Report, hook, line and sinker!
- LenBaird, on 05/20/2009, -3/+26The 10th amendment requires it. It is lawful, vs unlawful, and just by that it is better, wouldn't you say?
You can move to a new state if you don't like its laws. Yea, it isn't easy, but its better.
Get it now? - LenBaird, on 05/20/2009, -0/+22That is the 10th amendment that prohibits the federal government from doing anything that they are not specifically authorized to do by the Constitution. 90% of the things they do are illegal according to the supreme law of the land.
- Waiting2awake, on 05/20/2009, -2/+24Closer to the people. If you have a grievance with your mayor - you can get to him. If you have a grievance with your Governor, you can get to him.
You can't get to the representation in DC as the last 8 years shown us and the upcoming 4-8 will continue to show us. - muckemuck, on 05/20/2009, -0/+22It reinforces his "kook" image... but you aren't supposed to be aware of the subtle manipulation.
- inactive, on 05/20/2009, -6/+28i think arnold's down to legalize it.
