- rplibertybelle, on 06/27/2008, -1/+45Thank you, Dr. Paul, sadly one of the few who actually speaks the truth. Only given a bit of time, he puts so much information into his speeches. If we impose sanctions on Iran, it's only the regular working people who will be affected by them. The "terrorists" won't even be touched by this. And we'll have even more innocent blood on our hands. But then what would become of the "war on terror?"
- elephanterin, on 06/27/2008, -0/+442nd digg :) great speech dr. paul! i almost missed you- was about to shut the tube off.. figured i had missed you because i was late getting the TV on.. .and there you came! An answered prayer! Just as you were when I had given up on America :) Keep up the great work, Campaign for Liberty!
- oconnor11, on 06/27/2008, -1/+41Go Ron! Keep on 'em!
- inactive, on 06/27/2008, -3/+42Why can't Obama say these things? How could it possibly hurt his electability? These are the things that the American public wants to hear. Obama's initial appeal was because he was against the Iraq War and was a strong opponent of Bush. He talked about "change". Well this speech by Ron Paul is exactly the kind of "change" that his supporters are expecting from him.
I hear so many people suggesting that Obama has some covert plan to do just what Ron Paul is saying once he is elected. Boy are they going to be disappointed. Obama says he does not represent the "special interests". Well what about the biggest "special interest" of them all - AIPAC. The ones that got us locked into that "special relationship" with Israel that drove us into War with Iraq and is now driving us into War with Iran. Aside from all the legal and moral reasons that these wars are bad, we just can't afford it. These wars are destroying our economy. Already the Iran War is destroying the economy without having fired a shot because of the rising cost of energy. As Paul says this is largely because of oil speculation not supply and demand.
See my article "Oil Speculation and Israeli Sabre Rattling":
http://futurenewstoday.blogspot.com/2008/06/oil-sp ... - sglazier, on 06/27/2008, -1/+37Ron Paul has been a consistent rock fighting the horrible policies that the media and most other politicians are forcing on the american people. We should do all we can to support him and try to get more people like him in office.
- gltskline, on 06/27/2008, -2/+35Ron Paul is a lone voice crying in the wilderness. A wilderness of blind, media brainwashed and apathetic people. Sadly when the bottom drops out on America there will be people, with their McCain and Obama campaign buttons intact, running around like chickens with their heads cut off wondering what happened.
- inactive, on 06/27/2008, -2/+30Obama WHO?
We need Ron Paul now! - inactive, on 06/27/2008, -1/+26The text of this speech are available here:
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/blog/?p=87 - inactive, on 06/27/2008, -2/+22This speech by Ron Paul will never make it on the MSM. Why not?!!!
- flavioribeiro, on 06/27/2008, -1/+21Bomb Iran and the bottom will drop out. Americans won't afford gas or heating. Everyone will be lining up at Wal-Mart to buy junk provided by the lowest bidder. Most other retailers will go under.
No country will lend money to the US, given that treasury bills pay so little. The government will keep printing money to sustain the illusion of the American way of life. Cheap credit will only be available to banks, which will use it in the commodities futures market. Wheat, sugar, gold, silver and oil will skyrocket due to this speculation. Meanwhile, interest rates to the common man will be record high -- after all, the market prices interest based on the risk of default.
The government would probably pass laws to limit speculation in the futures. This regulation would backfire, because speculators can take the money out of the US in order to use foreign exchanges. Speculation would be concentrated in fewer markets, causing prices to go even higher.
The more this charade is sustained, the closer we get to a credit derivatives market crash, which would essentially cause a generalized bank collapse. - lazerus9, on 06/27/2008, -1/+18The fact that the MSM ignores and chooses to vilify this True American Patriot and Statesman and instead parades and promotes two puppets of the Illuminati, tells me all that I need to know about the nature of the MSM and the current corrupt state of this Government!
- Jimmyb207, on 06/27/2008, -1/+18Once again. Ron Paul is the voice of sanity and common sense in a world gone mad.
- girwen, on 06/27/2008, -1/+17I just hope bush is not STUPID enough to bomb Iran. I they have about 1,000,000 men in their army. The USA would almost certainly win in the end, but the 150,000 US troops in their backyard in Iraq could suffer devastating losses if Iran retaliated there.
- badassninja, on 06/27/2008, -1/+16Even when I'm a old man and we are poor and have zero freedoms I will never forget Ron Paul.
- inactive, on 06/27/2008, -1/+15Of great interest:
http://www.pubrecord.org/index.php?option=com_cont ... - Habit4ming, on 06/27/2008, -1/+14WE THE PEOPLE don't want war with Iran! WE THE PEOPLE want our boys brought home from Iraq! If we do this with Iran, gas prices will double or worse, which would also push up the prices of food/clothing/EVERYTHING! It could also be the start of WWIII! Iran is not a threat to the USA, it's morally wrong, against the Constitution, etc. THERE IS NOT ONE POSITIVE REASON FOR US TO GO TO WAR WITH IRAN! NOT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to be watching to see how my Reps vote on this matter...it will affect my future voting decisions...
- 0Xonox0, on 06/27/2008, -0/+12It's good to see Ron Paul's support is still alive and well. Maybe there is hope for this country after all.
- CoolHandLuke70, on 06/27/2008, -1/+12Ron Paul is a true American hero! What a good man!
- Stryder81, on 06/27/2008, -0/+10Guys, I just wrote to my congressman, I suggest you all do the same, otherwise these diggs and posts and so forth won't mean *****.
Below is a link to the House Of Representatives website to find out exactly who represents your district.

Add war to that and --- good night!
People will beg for a North American Union - inactive, on 06/27/2008, -1/+9Obama is surrounding himself with militant Jewish globalists in order to court the Zionist vote. I don't think he's going to speak the truth about Iran any time soon....
- Tangoland2, on 06/27/2008, -1/+9Great Job!! We need more Congressman standing next to him in January!!
Support the Ron Paul Endorsed Candidate Congressional Candidates on Freedom Slate's July 4th Money Bomb!!

- lazerus9, on 06/27/2008, -0/+7He is certainly a lone voice crying out from the floor of the House of Representatives!
- inactive, on 06/28/2008, -0/+7This story has been buried. There is another digg post that features the same video that made it to become popular. Probably because it doesn't mention Ron Paul in the title or description. There must be some bots that are programmed to bury any stories that contain "Ron Paul". Digg need to add a capcha to buries!
Digg this instead:
Relationship Between Energy Costs & Potential War with Iran

Exact same video. I promise. - inactive, on 06/27/2008, -1/+8Regardless of how much I may disagree with some of Ron Paul's statements about eliminating social services and programs, its hard to dislike someone who agrees with me so strongly about going to more wars. It may not be for the same reason. I just think war is wrong, killing is wrong, and its all pointless, while Ron Paul seems to link it more to Constitutionality and fiscal issues, but still, we both agree its pointless, and stupid. Sadly, Ron Paul can't win the presidential election this time around, but I don't think its too late to send emailbombs to Obama and make him aware of the large population who would really appreciate a staunchly antiwar candidate. Its not happening with McCain, and Paul has dropped out. We have to do what we can.
- goofrey137, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6Pick up a history book. we didnt do ***** in World War II when Hitler ***** Poland. We didnt attack anyone until Pearl Harbor was bombed. There have been no attacks on American soil of the sort, and people that think sept 11th counts are ignorant. Sept 11th was a criminal act that we elected to view as an act of war. Instead of investigating properly we just elected to declare war on an idea (terrorism, which is about the same as declaring war on dragons or elves since you cant kill ideas) and use it as a scapegoat to attack countries for the profit of Bush's buddies.
Also, Iran doesnt have nukes, which would make it pretty hard for them to nuke us. - inactive, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6@girwen, do not be so certain that "The USA would almost certainly win in the end,". We almost certainly would not win in the end. In order to "win" we would have to invade Iran with a massive army, at least 500,000 men. We can't do that now. It would require a draft and at least 18 months of incredible spending to build up our materiel.
And please locate Iran on your world atlas. Notice what country lies just north of Iran?
Do you really think that Russia is going to sit by while we invade their neighbor? Not a chance.
Do we want to start a land war against resurgent Russia on their doorstep with our supply lines stretched halfway across the world?
The answer is, NO. Although we can bomb Iran, we could not defeat Iran and they know it. - inactive, on 06/27/2008, -0/+6Sadly he has already proven this.
- goofrey137, on 06/27/2008, -0/+5sure we would win, just like we won in iraq 5 years ago. oh wait
- inactive, on 06/27/2008, -1/+6What motivates an idiot to spend his time attacking any article about Ron Paul?
Do you favor war with Iran? Do you think that is a good idea?
Do you think that it is a good idea to leave our children with a Federal debt that they will not be able to pay?
Or do you just think that you make yourself look smart by attacking the fellow that the mainstream media ridicules?
I think that you come off as pathetic. If your goal was to stop Ron Paul from getting support during the election, well he has conceded.
Get a life, tool. - juankovo, on 06/27/2008, -0/+5http://www.lawsonforcongress.com/

http://www.libertycongress.org/ - flavioribeiro, on 06/27/2008, -1/+5Demand for oil is inelastic. This implies that taking out even a small percentage of oil from the market is enough to make its price skyrocket. That's because there is no short-term alternative to oil -- people just pay whatever cost is necessary to keep using it. Consumers only stop buying when they go bankrupt.
Ahmadinejad threatened Israel, not the United States. If you have such a strong connection to Israel, maybe you should volunteer for their army. Also, the United States joined WWII after being attacked. - Erich100, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4His speech to AIPAC was an oath to neoconism. It forces him to relinquish any loyalty to The United States and defer any decision making to the Zionists better judgment.
- lazerus9, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4I replied below Jonathan
- lazerus9, on 06/27/2008, -2/+6Well little Jonathan, when you have matured and become capable(if ever) to communicate with adults, put your smelly sneakers back on and stop typing with your feet! Have a nice day young Zionist!
- inactive, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4Bombing some installations in Iran cannot constitute "winning" in any sense. We wouldn't even end their ability to refine uranium because they have certainly spread their centrifuges around the country by now. The only way that you could define "winning" would be to destroy their capacity for military resistance and to overthrow their government.
There is no way that we could do that. - Erich100, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4It's just too much within the realm of reality and common sense. Reality doesn't mix very well with propaganda.
- rexblade, on 06/27/2008, -0/+4Turn off the fox news bro. Muslims do not want to convert us. They just want our ***** tanks outta their countries. I wish Iran did have nukes because all this ***** wouldnt be an option. We give money to countries with nukes you think Israel isn't waving their bombs in Irans face constantly?
- Erich100, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3If we had more patriots in our government like Ron Paul there never would have been the need for this speech.
- muckemuck, on 06/27/2008, -0/+3nope.. they'll be saying "McCain/Obama will protect us and fix this mess that W got us into!" all the while ignoring their voting records and the fact that we're in the mess we're in because both the Democrats and Republicans have driven this country into the mud.
- Cache22, on 06/28/2008, -0/+3Thanks for linking to this FrankHope ... I was wondering why my post suddenly jumped up in Diggs! (And as you already figured out, I specifically worded the title to try to keep "autobury bots" from doing anything ... right after I submitted I saw this digg post so I made sure to plug this one since it linked to a more relevant page, but now I'm glad for the unintentional duplicity.)
- grassrooter, on 06/28/2008, -0/+3I agree. They are getting more emails, faxes, and phone calls than they can handle. Keep up the pressure for common sense, freedom, and soverignity.....
Ron Paul can say MORE, and teach more in 5 minutes than Obama and most politicians say in an hour. Ron Paul makes sense. If this message could break thru MSM, there might be hope for America, b/c most people love his message. - Zandafar, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=hc11 ...
check to see if your congressman is a co-sponsor of this bill. unfortunately mine is and I will hold his feet to the fire for it. Write your congressman today! - AlexFate, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2A powerful speech from RP, with his usual integrity.
AlexFate - inactive, on 06/28/2008, -0/+2So there really are "autobury bots"? If there ever was proof of it, then these 2 posts are it.
- Erich100, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2Ritter is the man. Through all the ridicule, he has stood his ground and time has shown him to be correct.
- Erich100, on 06/27/2008, -0/+2You need the reality check. OBAMA IS A NEO-CON just like Georgie boy.
Wake up and smell the pile of ***** you've been eating. - freeoregon, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2One honest man in Congress. One who understands and is not afraid to speak the truth, even at risk to his own person. One man who is authentic and stands tall, with integrity. One man who is an inspiration and a role model for us all.
