Bad foreign policy and deploying our military with one arm tied behind it's back, i.e. an undeclared war (bad foreign policy), was doomed to failure from the beginning. All the undeclared wars after WWII have the stench of the UN's politically correct rot. It's a tragedy so many lost their lives when we departed, however, would another 60,000 American lives have made it better?
