- Aphelion27, on 04/26/2008, -5/+32OMG...These people don't play by any rules. No wonder McCain is their favorite, he has no regard for law either...
- foontala, on 04/26/2008, -9/+36Why do we hear about all the race division and obama/clinton/mccain crap on the news instead of legitimate and important election news such as this?
- chessmasterjoe, on 04/26/2008, -5/+31And they are begging us to back McInsane. No way will I give my vote to these immoral and illegal *****. I will write in Ron Paul as the only honest man in the race.
- TheLastProphet, on 04/26/2008, -4/+29BLATANT, BLATANT, BLATANT coup.
This guy never heard of YouTube... or the French Revolution. - billyjack1958, on 04/26/2008, -7/+28This is the stage, according to Ghandi, where they fight us. Look up cuz the next stage is "We Win!" Vote for Ron Paul no matter what....he's our only hope to save our beloved republic.
- Orbiter9211, on 04/26/2008, -3/+23This is only a battle the war is ahead of us.
- 3tcp, on 04/26/2008, -3/+19Then take them to court. Public opinion don't correct these things, lawyers do.
- dmjarrington, on 04/26/2008, -6/+22unsuccessful troll is unsuccessful.
- silverdesk48, on 04/27/2008, -4/+18I have found that the masses generally will support anybody who has the prettiest face, or the media supports. They are generally the people who DON"T know the facts about the situation or believe everything they are told about a candidate. Remember, it was the disciples of Christ, dedicated Christians, few dedicated people in history who made a difference. People who will accept everything and anything about a candidate will fall for anything. They are the ones who will be the worker bees for the other Republican and Democrat candidates without knowing any of the facts. The only other people who are philosophically like Ron Paul are in the Constitutional Party. They are the 3rd largest party in the country. They are constitutionalists like Ron Paul. Don't go along to get along!! Go to a meet-up group, which supports Ron Paul and get involved. Vote Ron Paul. You can also check out the Constitutional Party.
- h4ckler, on 04/27/2008, -2/+16I'll agree. Obama is nothing like Ron Paul. He is another empty suit spewing "change". You think he's different? Just look at all the mindless clone Obama followers that don't know ***** about him.
- homah, on 04/26/2008, -3/+15So Robert's Rules of Order shouldn't be followed? The convention should be complete chaos?
- 3tcp, on 04/27/2008, -1/+11"an intellect incapable of grasping beyond what is for lunch"
win - MouseyTung, on 04/27/2008, -1/+11I'd like to see some evidence for that but I am serious. As a Ron Paul supporter I want to know.
- MattNF, on 04/27/2008, -1/+10Are you retarded?
- shades59901, on 04/27/2008, -2/+11jesus people WAKE UP...this crap is only going to get worse.....take a step back and try to look at the real picture that is going on......Think about it.....
- h4ckler, on 04/27/2008, -2/+11You're an idiot. There is NO SUCH THING as throwing away your vote.
- 3tcp, on 04/27/2008, -0/+9Yes but they would be unsuccessful in getting him the nomination no matter what they do. If they had a shot at succeeding then I would agree with you and fight it. What they are trying to do is work the system to make sure their voices are heard and play a role in shaping the party's platform and future. This is a tactic always used by everyone, is completely legitimate for them to use and rules shouldn't be broken to prevent them from succeeding.
This is how neo-cons took over the republican party 10 years ago and how free-traders gained enough influence over the democratic party to get Bill Clinton nominated 16 years ago. Not only is this tactic allowed but it is healthy for the parties (though, not necessarily the country). The grass roots support and organization required to shape the party platform is the same that will be required to raise funds, support and endorsements to win elections. - MouseyTung, on 04/27/2008, -5/+13Correct, but individuals like me who were inspired by Dr. Paul and are now going into politics are starting our Revolution
- 3tcp, on 04/27/2008, -1/+9As an impartial observer I've noticed that the average ron paul supporter was smarter than those for any other candidate. Granted, if he had a larger following they would probably be watered down with someone of the bandwagon dumbasses out there, but that is one characterization that is incorrect.
- inactive, on 04/27/2008, -0/+8Google Ron Paul and see the difference
- MouseyTung, on 04/27/2008, -7/+15You know if thats the only pony your gonna ride hes gonna die from exhaustion.
- MouseyTung, on 04/27/2008, -6/+14How can a Ron Paul supporter support Obama?
- brad3378, on 04/27/2008, -0/+7I don't have a problem if you like Obama, but you're no Ron Paul supporter if you support Obama's socialist platform.
- CoolHandLuke70, on 04/26/2008, -6/+13onetimer -- you obviously are too stupid to figure out that this will hurt you just as much in the end!
- inactive, on 04/27/2008, -4/+11I gather your gun is bigger than mine? Then again, I gather you don't own one since you expect mother government to wipe your ass. Make your jokes and chuckle to yourself while doing so. Some of us have no intentions of allowing this Republic to be eradicated without a fight. I know which side you're on and that you and those of your ilk will be allowed a full trial for your treasonous acts. Of course you know the outcome of said trial so it would be best to begin your preparations for such.
- shades59901, on 04/27/2008, -5/+12Wake Up and smell the CRAP around you....this is only the begining of things to really come
- inactive, on 04/27/2008, -1/+8ron paul and obama are both against the iraq war. that is essentially the only thing they share in common.
- BrapAllgood, on 04/27/2008, -1/+7I take it back, junior; you are right. The description (cut and pasted, not mine) is an opinion. You are entitled to have another and, therefore, bury it as inaccurate. Apologies.
Your incessant 'buried as spam' remarks are still a pile of *****, though. - inactive, on 04/27/2008, -9/+15I never get tired of reading the term "Paultard". It is indicative of someone with an intellect incapable of grasping beyond what is for lunch.....but others type it so you figure you're one of the "in" crowd.
Please explain why you despise the Constitution of these united States and what you propose as a means to form a more perfect union. Otherwise, STFU. - brad3378, on 04/27/2008, -1/+6to be fair, your argument works both ways.
Most people voted against McCain too.
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results ...
Either way, the fact still remains that more people voted for Paul than McCain in Nevada - PGAJAMIE411, on 04/27/2008, -1/+6You'e a ***** joke "diggnumber1"
The Constitution is a "crazy ideology?"
Ass - inactive, on 04/27/2008, -6/+11" Ron Pauls elected delegates have been unlawfully, illegally, and for all intents and purposes VIOLENTLY overthrown in a blatant declaration of war against Ron Paul supporters and converts!"
Please tell me what is accurate about that. - MouseyTung, on 04/27/2008, -6/+11No, I just know its not a topic we are likely assess. I have personally researched the issue and am convinced that the letter was not written by him. I personally believe he is protecting someone close to him not willing to "throw them to the wolves". He could be called a liar by ommission but if that about all his lies he should be nominated for saint hood. On a scale of liars from 1 to 10 with Hilary being 10 where would you put Dr. Paul for this? If somewhere high what other lies has he told to deserve a high rating? With this in mind he does not register as a liar in my book.
- D0ct0rN0, on 04/27/2008, -1/+6Bullsh*t! Paul has spoken out against the WAR which is a Mercantilist Wet Dream.
If Ron Paul was John Perkins, He could hardly be more clear on what He is against, which is Mercantilist Policies of the system we and the World suffer under.
Ron Paul is about choice. - 3tcp, on 04/27/2008, -1/+6China is called the peoples 'republic' of china... point being that just because they're named the constitutional party doesn't mean they actually follow the constitution the way that most normal or smart people do.
- BrapAllgood, on 04/26/2008, -5/+10Start here, maybe: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8953172273 ...
- inactive, on 04/27/2008, -5/+10Not yet. There is a storm brewing.
- BrapAllgood, on 04/27/2008, -2/+7Look, most of us already know Ron Paul has no chance...I've known for months myself. BUT THE MESSAGE SHOULD STILL HAVE A VOICE. Your opinion of the rules does not CHANGE the rules. You really are being a child in this, junior.
- rficwizard, on 04/27/2008, -0/+4@BrapAllgood: You admitted a mistake, and apologized, in comments to a political story on digg. You don't seem to know how to debate on digg, so I will give you a few pointers.
1) You are right in all cases, everyone who disagrees with you is an an idiot or a traitor or a wimp, and by telling them so in the most insulting and condescending language, you will change their views to be more in line with reality (which is whatever you think it is).
2) Any point that goes against your beliefs is a lie, a distortion, or an exaggeration. Any point that supports your beliefs, no matter what the source or how little proof, is completely true.
3) Any mistake you are caught in is irrelevant or semantics, while any mistake your opponent is caught in is grounds for the complete dismissal of everything they (and the candidate they support) has ever said.
There are a few posters here who have mastered this art;I doubt if I have to name names. With practice, you can someday be as effective as they are! - MouseyTung, on 04/27/2008, -2/+6Dude you just lost the game
"Unlike the capitalism of Adam Smith, the fundamental focus of mercantilism was on the self-interest of the sovereign (that is, the state), and not the self-interest of the individual owners of economic resources."
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Ron_Paul_Delegat ...
"Mercantilism suggests that the ruling government should advance these goals by playing a protectionist role in the economy, by encouraging exports and discouraging imports, especially through the use of tariffs."
http://www.1913intel.com/2007/12/26/mercantilism/ - BrapAllgood, on 04/28/2008, -0/+4Thank you, O Wizardly One, for this wonderful guide. With such help as this, I will be moving in disco anytime now!
If only everyone cared so much, we could ALL be right, ALL the time! One must have aspirations.... ;) - PGAJAMIE411, on 04/27/2008, -2/+6BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The time for polite rhetoric is OVER! Grab your guns. THE REVOLUTION BEGINS NOW!!!!!!!!!!! - vault, on 04/27/2008, -3/+7Except Paul wouldn't really have been able to abolish any of the supposedly unconstitutional departments within the federal government, or get rid of the IRS for that matter. The man wants to go back to the gold standard- what makes you think he's the financial genius that's going to solve all our debt woes?
- Observant1, on 04/27/2008, -2/+6dude the current system has doubled and tripled its agencies and employees to watch "we the people", who have been made unemployed and desperate. over 23 million government employees and not half that many are employed producing or manufacturing goods. it is also consistently, illegally/unconstitutionally, granting itself more and more power ESPECIALLY after 9-11-01. an Orwellian nightmare with camera's and microphones everywhere is not productive, it is invasive and costly. with 1% of the population in lockup now and 37 of 50 states prisons are contracting out slavewage labor of inmates (non-violent = desirable worker) this is possibly 2 million jobs being deprived the public. all by design. first it was EPA standards, protecting the environment is a good thing sure, but big manufacturers refusing to comply were given corporate welfare to leave the country, polluting elsewhere and exploiting cheaper labor, leaving the people here unemployed. I remember being told by the schools and agencies that manufacturing was going to be on its way out, that it was going to be all 'service industry', over 25 years ago. it's a good description of economic sabotage and treason.
police, lawyers, attorneys, judges, politicians, are not productive and more often are in the business of making money off of other peoples miseries. a nanny state surveillance grid only war drums up more 'business'. the 'war on drugs' business is booming because productive people cant find gainful employment and get caught up in dealing the illegal drugs the government imports... while the governments other hand is making US all unemployed. the government parasite has become a predatory vampire.
we now have pharmaceutical fascism that can keep doctors and courtrooms busy, genetically engineered 'frankenfoods', mandatory insurance -a non-productive industry that is in business for the fear of "what if"... and the US didnt used to be this way, is what this establishment has done, most all of it within my own lifetime. it's all cyclic and artificial, just like the great depression was made to happen and was conveniently fixed with the production of WW2, but this production is also about the disposal of Depleted Uranium in the Middle East, making area's radioactive forever. this parasite gone predator establishment needs its butt kicked, now. - PGAJAMIE411, on 04/27/2008, -2/+6The Revolution has morphed to something a little different. Choose your side!
- inactive, on 04/27/2008, -3/+6Anybody but Paul. His economic ideas are a joke. The Gold standard was a disaster. Going back to it would be even worse. His understanding of the free market, and his implementation, would be GREAT for the top 5%, great for poisoning America, and would throw the rest of the United States into poverty, a la Chile and the Chicago Boys (look it up. Doing more than passing on rhetoric will be good for you).
In conclusion, quit calling everyone an ***** before "asking a question" and you may, someday, get answers. When you act like a child, you get treated like a child. - 3tcp, on 04/27/2008, -4/+7Your objections to his politics are enough reason to support breaking the rules to keep his supporters from gaining influence? What are you, a Clinton supporter?
Also it's ironic that your objections are based on the belief that law and order will deteriorate with a more libertarian government when you support ignoring these things in order to keep libertarians out of power. That's the kind of 'war is peace, ignorance is strength' logic that made this country great - inactive, on 04/27/2008, -1/+4I'll be honest with YOU. Any who submits a Digg link like this:
http://digg.com/politics/Gangsta_Detroit_Mayor_Kwa ...
doesn't deserve to be taken seriously. So, because he is a black mayor, you call him a "Gangsta"? Been stuck in the Ron Paul "let's go way back in time" machine long? Grow up, punk. - BrapAllgood, on 04/27/2008, -1/+4'you people'?
This is not a discussion. GFY, junior. Even when I try to reason with you, you insist upon being a piehole. Truly, GFY. I can't wait to finish your song. - Hortnon, on 04/27/2008, -2/+5billy, you clearly don't know Paul's positions. Onetimer isn't the one that needs to do research, here...
