- inactive, on 12/02/2007, -6/+238The whole debate was a bunch of ***** anyways. Between stupid questions asking about the red sox, irrelevant questions about whether they believe the word of the bible, stupid cartoons, and questions simply designed to get a sound-bite out of one or two candidates, the whole debate was a waste of time. Just a gimmick for CNN to pull in 10 million dollars and nice advertisement revenue.
- rpi22, on 12/02/2007, -13/+160WTF is up with CNN calling RP a kook for talking about the Trans Texas Corridor (which is definitely real, I HAVE PICS!!) CNN's own Lou Dobbs talks about the NAU!! Who the hell do you think you are CNN?!
- noobeffect, on 12/02/2007, -2/+146Anyone with sense would know that the debate was a joke. With the ridiculous questions, the candidates might as well have been asked if they like mash potatoes with gravy. Save that crap for the talk shows.
- brentinkc, on 12/02/2007, -9/+125I think all of you are ignoring the real issue here. The question is, how many guns does Ron Paul have, of what caliber, and what is his favorite one?
- Stevanoski, on 12/02/2007, -2/+109Ron should go on Dancing With The Stars, then CNN couldn't ignore him.
- ButterBuddha, on 12/02/2007, -11/+101***** CNN
- Midoc, on 12/02/2007, -56/+146Yeah, he really called them out, quietly stating that he thought it was kind of unfair. I'm sure CNN is curled up in a corner crying.
- inactive, on 12/02/2007, -2/+80maybe they should do a whole interview asking him if he will run independent over and over to get it out of the way
- demonsnake69, on 12/02/2007, -2/+66Ron Paul gets a lot of flak from the mainstream media and from people in his own party, I'm surprised he remains polite through all the crap that's thrown at him.
- inactive, on 12/02/2007, -4/+66I meant 10 million Viewers, by the way.
- inactive, on 12/02/2007, -2/+55In a perfect world they would go back to town-hall style debates with randomly selected questions, broadcast on a non-profit network like PBS. Instead of this "honor system" *****, the moderator would simply cut off the mic after thirty seconds. Gives the candidates less time to think of a made-for-rebroadcast answer, and might encourage them to answer more truthful, at the risk of looking like an idiot if they can't think of anything.
- inactive, on 12/02/2007, -4/+50Worst debate of the year, and that is saying something...
- inactive, on 12/02/2007, -2/+41I honestly never do this, but I was yelling at the TV while the first 20 minutes went by in a tweedle dee vs. tweedle dum tennis match of ghouliani and romney about illegal immigrants. I know what my mom would have done 2 minutes into that little tissy bitchy whine session, beat both their asses and put them to bed with no dinner. Too bad Anderson's a lightweight who just sat there and lost control after the first question, great start, AC!
- NightVortez, on 12/02/2007, -3/+41They ask him if he will run as an independent once again.
- Civilizationist, on 12/02/2007, -1/+33Yeah, and the thing that gets me most is that Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter are co-sponsors to the anti-NAFTA highway, anti-NAU bill. Why didn't they have to answer the same question?
- jlhoben, on 12/02/2007, -6/+38All mainstream media censors routinely. That's why more and more people are turning to alternative sources for their news (and also why the Pentagon is spending billions on fake news).
- ocellnuri, on 12/02/2007, -1/+32Dugg, not for the whole "Biased" issue, but because of how much I enjoyed listening to that interview. I really have trouble making it through an interview with anyone else in politics. It's nice to listen to someone talk and not feel like they're acting.
- tschau, on 12/02/2007, -2/+33No no, they asked him that TWICE again. They're really pounding him with that one, perhaps partially to try and discredit him as being a true republican.
- MWeather, on 12/02/2007, -11/+40Methane collection is a perfectly viable energy source, and it fights global warming. I'd be proud to drive a car fueled by Ron Paul's farts.
- SideShowMel0329, on 12/02/2007, -2/+28Or you can just say you have guns, but not tell them what types....YOU'RE SO FUNNY FRED THOMPSON, WHAT AN AWESOME JOKE!
- n8glenn, on 12/03/2007, -1/+23What did you want him to do, scream and rage and use profanity? He handled it like a mature adult, and avoided getting nasty or whining. Anyone who is unbiased and discerning can easily grasp his meaning, and can easily grasp that the CNN debate was indeed quite biased, as he got only two questions, and did not even get a chance to speak until near the end. By the way, welcome to the ranks of the committed Ron Paul smearers, I'm sure you will enjoy leaving endless comments on every Ron Paul story complaining about Ron Paul.
- MikeFallopian, on 12/02/2007, -3/+25Would you trust a candidate that doesn't enjoy gravy on his potatoes? I know I wouldn't.
- cowisgood, on 12/03/2007, -2/+22I bet Ron Paul will run as an independent if he doesn't get the nomination.
He just won't say so for fear of being a target.
Which is fine by me. I'll vote for him in whatever party he's in. - MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -1/+21Yeah, that was a ***** question. You know what I'd like to see is the republicans asked the democratic questions and the democrats asked the republican questions... or everyone gets asked the same questions that aren't retarded... but that's just hoping too much.
- redmann50, on 12/02/2007, -3/+23MSM becoming obsolete...rise up all ye alternatives!!!
- cbunce, on 12/02/2007, -1/+20Google should renounce CNN's performance on this debate. They could run this online, who needs TV..
- Grandforks85, on 12/02/2007, -1/+20Mike -- This is about his lack of attention within the actual debate. Like RP said himself, it was 30 minutes before he was even noticed.
- Protonz, on 12/02/2007, -0/+18He is very good at being political for a guy who distrusts politicians. You can see what a fine line he needs to walk between his libertarian philosophy and the current base of neo-cons who have lost their way.
The message of liberty, personal rights and limited government are very attractive. Delivering that message is what takes skill. - zachshmack, on 12/02/2007, -1/+18They all ask the same questions.
- Makaveli604, on 12/03/2007, -0/+17Funny, every time I hear him talk I want to get more involved in his campaign.
- inactive, on 12/02/2007, -6/+22You think digg should remove the bury option? It's all we have left for keeping spam and other junk off of the front page. I use it at least 10 times more than my digg button. What alternative do you suggest? Moderators? If digg ever removed the bury feature the ***** would hit the fan and ALOT of folks would leave as digg became the new fark.
- ScottoGato, on 12/02/2007, -0/+16Ignoring does not mean, going to the Digg page of the article, and making a comment saying that you're ignoring it.
- Fieri, on 12/03/2007, -1/+16"The government confirmed it does not exists."
Brilliant! Go back to your fun and games! The government has spoken! - ScottoGato, on 12/02/2007, -3/+18These "Corporate Republicans" (not sure what else you'd call them), just would love to get Ron Paul out of the Republican Party. How many questions are we going to hear about him becoming an Independent? CNN, Fox News, and these other Corporate Monsters are the real terrorists.
- xerigen, on 12/02/2007, -0/+15That would rank in the top 10 best occurrences of my life.
- brentinkc, on 12/02/2007, -3/+17WHAT!?!?! They don't give any ***** with a camera airtime on CNN? I'm outraged!
- mconder, on 12/02/2007, -4/+17"What would it take to satisfy you people, a 24-hour graphic of Ron Paul with a halo replacing the CNN logo?"
That would be most excellent. - hddigger, on 12/03/2007, -0/+13I have to agree with him. Ron Paul and most of the other candidates were ignored. It was all Romney, and Guliani. Do we actually like any of these people? I'm no republican, but Hillary and Obama don't get me very excited either.
- JPOOPOO, on 12/02/2007, -5/+18"forum spam squad" is just another way of saying educated, free-thinking, American voters
- cswake, on 12/02/2007, -2/+15Here is a more elaborate answer from Paul on why the TTC corridor is the first steps in the move toward a NAFTA superhighway.
http://www.house.gov/paul/tst/tst2006/tst103006.ht ... - inactive, on 12/02/2007, -1/+14You're confusing the MEDIA with the VOTERS. The media doesnt care about him, but we sure do.
- Minarchian, on 12/02/2007, -2/+14Don't expect this guy to actually watch a video or read any type of proof there is a NAU and NAFTA corridor.
He's so deeply embedded into the lies that there is not anything going on that he doesn't want to lose face. - elnerdo, on 12/02/2007, -6/+18Nonplussed:
noun - "a state of utter perplexity."
It doesn't mean what you think it means. - NightVortez, on 12/02/2007, -1/+12Yeah but it says almost nothing about him being a candidate, and after denying it a million times you'd they they would get it.
- Stevanoski, on 12/02/2007, -3/+14Research shows when people start a sentence with "honestly" they usually aren't.
- vanguardanon, on 12/02/2007, -2/+13You actually thought that was funny enough to share with the group?
- fastball, on 12/03/2007, -0/+11Dear Digg,
You brought my attention to Ron Paul, and now I am a full supporter. Keep up the good work. - inactive, on 12/02/2007, -2/+13So what. I'm glad that CNN didn't just play any random video that was submitted without checking it first. You know how embarrassing it would be for CNN if they were Rick Roll'd during a nationally televised debate?
- CanIGetAWitness, on 12/03/2007, -0/+11"treated almost reverentially by the interviewer"
You can put chocolate frosting over a pile of cake shaped ***** and guess what it will taste like. Look at the video again and see the interviewer ask the same denouncing questions, but he keeps a smile on his face. The only considered compliment was a retake. You fell for it. -
