- LetFreedomReign, on 02/04/2008, -3/+97STILL no comment about Ron Paul in the press! He beat McCain! This just goes to show that actual voters have a LOT more common sense than the media. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who stands for real freedom for the American people. Most people take our freedom for granted without noticing that our basic rights and freedoms are slowly (or not so slowly) being taken away by our own government. Ron Paul is the only candidate who will stop this encroachment on our freedoms..... and it is a matter of principal for him, not a trick to get elected.
- bardo77n, on 02/04/2008, -2/+45This story is true. I caucused for Dr. Paul for my town in Maine, and now my wife, my cousin, a couple of friends, and I are delegates to the state convention. Before all of this, I had no idea how the GOP selection process in Maine worked. Being a libertarian, there never has been a candidate as long as I've been able to vote that was worth giving any of my time. For Dr. Paul, I've spent many hours calling people, putting up signs, and distributing slim jims. as well as learning about the caucusing process in Maine.
It was great that Ron won my whole county. Shutting down those big government, warmonger, neocons was a blast! - Gene1200, on 02/04/2008, -3/+43I'm surprised the "new GOP" wasn't able to keep this under raps until after SupTues. Good job RP's for keep the heat on these rats !
- Mudhoney, on 02/04/2008, -2/+41The media will make sure that the presidential preference poll where Ron Paul came in a close third is the only thing mentioned about Maine. Of course, they will not mention Ron Paul, either. Even though the delegates are the most important part of the caucus, the media will look away since Ron Paul did well. Just like Louisiana and Nevada, and soon to be Hawaii and Alaska and many more where Ron Paul will probably do well.
- hellsunicorn, on 02/04/2008, -1/+33Amen to that, I guess you get a smaller pay check in the media if you actually tell the truth.
P.S. - Take Ron Paul out of the title so that the fascist bury brigade doesn't quash it. - roho76, on 02/04/2008, -2/+31Keep up the good work.
- CurtisLow101, on 02/04/2008, -2/+31Great news! Go RP!
- simbolo, on 02/04/2008, -4/+31When is the next money-bomb?
- liberteebell, on 02/04/2008, -2/+26Yeah, we whipped Juan McWar's ass when his face is all over the media 24/7/365 and Ron Paul has suffered a near total media blackout from the start.
Hey, and did you hear that in the 4th Quarter, Ron Paul raised the most of any other republican candidates, and 3rd behind hillary and obama, all from individual donors (not special interests)? And did you hear that he continues to lead in donations from the military by a long shot? Yeah, I know. That doesn't make the news. But let another candidate get a hangnail and they're all over the news.
But that's ok. Keep enjoying your owned media. When the crap hits the fan, don't blame me; I will have voted for Ron Paul.
~A Paultard - nopantsdx, on 02/04/2008, -2/+26Does McCain get it for coming in 3rd?
- Krippy, on 02/04/2008, -2/+24So while everyone else is getting 1st, 3rd, 4th, 1st... We are consistently either getting 2nd, or racking up delegates in the process.
If you know anything about delegates, it means we are more poised to get the nomination. - rjdesadier, on 02/04/2008, -2/+21They also still haven't reported that he won Louisiana. Good old media!
- Mast3rDigg3r, on 02/04/2008, -1/+18Why did CNN say this?
Caucusing began Friday in Maine, with 18 delegates to the Republican National Convention at stake. Based on the reported results, CNN projects Romney will win all 18 of those delegates.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/03/maine.caucu ... - heybarb, on 02/04/2008, -2/+18I don't think anyone implied that this would get him the nomination. They are just pointing out what the media refuses to mention... That he did well. And out of curiosity, why do you resort to name calling?
- bardo77n, on 02/04/2008, -3/+19CNN lies.
- pax85, on 02/04/2008, -2/+17Hi, I'm from Austria. I don't really get how some caucuses work. Why are MSM reporting that RP got only 19% (preference poll??? what's that?), when he really got 35% of the delegates (or something like this).
Honestly these Caucuses and Primaries are so obsolete. Why are some primaries closes? I think everyone should have the right to vote. Apart from that, I believe every candidate should have the same MSM coverage from the beginning and all primaries and caucuses should be held on one day. That would reflect the real opinion of voters. - buckybadger9876, on 02/04/2008, -1/+16the media has gone from being pretty bad to outright lying to the american public. i've heard "the three GOP candidates" about 10 times.
*****.
GET OUT AND VOTE TOMORROW. - lvp1138, on 02/04/2008, -1/+16Same situation as Louisiana and Nevada... the media favorites win the beauty contest (the straw poll) which has no influence on the actual election process. But we are gathering up the most delegates :)
- nopantsdx, on 02/04/2008, -1/+16It's straight off the Ron Paul press release website. Created by them.
- Gtex23, on 02/04/2008, -1/+15This is just the beginning...
- rilla825, on 02/04/2008, -2/+16He didn't have the state to himself you moron the others had free press via the msm. Keep laughing buddy, I promise you that if Ron Paul is not our next President, your happy days will be nothing more than a distant memory. And I as well of hundreds of thousands + of Ron Paul supporters will have no pity on your woes. We will be able to look back without saying "I did nothing."
- Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -2/+14pissed on is embarrased to name who his candidate is.
- Gene1200, on 02/04/2008, -1/+12Thank you people of Maine ! Mitt had to spend a ton to buy his 1st place showing !
- nakani, on 02/05/2008, -1/+10352 diggs in 5 hours and still not popular? The bury brigade must be working overtime in their moms' basements
- Ronian12, on 02/04/2008, -2/+10Ron Paul had better run as an independent if he doesn't win the GOP nomination, the supporters demand it!
- dawn4598, on 02/05/2008, -0/+8Ron Paul 2008!
- tommyzDad, on 02/05/2008, -1/+9Great job, Maine! You guys rock!!!
- lnsk, on 02/04/2008, -1/+9We are the Ron Paul Revolution, which one of our Revolutionaries kept aware of to this current opportunity destined to rob what was due to Dr. Ron Paul, with great success! Thank you! Lets keep this deserved momentum of the most important Revolution growing stronger every day!
- janeuner, on 02/04/2008, -2/+9Because early projections make for good news articles. Winning the popularity contest does not win the primary. Wait for the state convention before reaching a conclusion.
Presidential Preference SURVEY:
http://www.mainegop.com/FlexPage.aspx?area=caucus2 ... - joeykilluv, on 02/05/2008, -0/+7RON PAUL 2008!!! I'm leaving the house in 5 minutes to go vote for him here in CA
- lastnymleft, on 02/04/2008, -0/+7Too right!! I'm hoping for a Clinton:Paul:McCain contest. Too easy!
- liberteebell, on 02/04/2008, -2/+9Laugh all you want at those of us who proudly belong to "Tardnation". Indeed, in Tardnation, I have met by far the most intelligent and principled people I've ever run across (and I'm no kid). And you just don't get it; this isn't over by any stretch. Nope, we're going to take our beloved country back no matter what it takes. Once enlightened, there's no going back.
What needs to be over is electing the same ol' lying, flip-flopping, Constitution trashing, power happy, over spending, war mongering criminals who seek to destroy America.
~Still a Paultard - mongoSxC, on 02/04/2008, -2/+9Everything I'm reading online, including CNN, says that Paul came in 3rd with 19% under McCain's 21% and Romney with 51% and all 18 delegates. This is the caucus, not the presidential preference poll. I'm not one to trust big media, so I lean to trusting Ron Paul's campaign and believe he won 2nd and got 1/3 of the delegates...but it would really make me feel better if someone could find a graph, or someone reporting on it other than ronpaul2008.com
Thanks, and GO RON PAUL! - runderwo, on 02/04/2008, -2/+9The campaign itself posted a bunch of articles today, hence the diggs. Don't you have anything better to do than listen to your own echo in here while accusing the "Paultards" of doing the same?
- gibbwake, on 02/05/2008, -1/+8http://www.ajaxonomy.com/buryrecorder/
440+ diggs in 9 hours with 7 buries and this hasnt made popular yet? ***** digg. This site ***** sucks. - lvp1138, on 02/04/2008, -3/+9GoatRoper is another paid troll... ignore him.
- DahuiHeeNalu, on 02/04/2008, -1/+7Most def right now we got till the 5th to show support Dr. Paul needs 8 Million!!!
- rooster113, on 02/04/2008, -1/+6the fact that he continues to gain in money, poll numbers , and delegates against the media that doesn't seem to think record youth voter registration and campaign contributions is not news worthy nor the fact this movement comes about during a time in our history where our govt following the constitution is "not realistic" is a Miracle in and of its self, your time is over. RON PAUL 2008!
- perkytots, on 02/05/2008, -0/+5go ron paul!

$30 LED Message Board For Cars | SUV |Truck
Plays 5 Messages of your choice.
I saw this on Youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKxR67R-nDM#W48h7PY ...
It works way better than a bumper sticker (shows his great positions) & has a good chance of converting & introducing voters behind you to support Ron Paul if you use the right words.
Here's some suggested ideas for the 5 lines.
1)Ron Paul for President
2)Get Rid Of The IRS
3)No Taxes On Tip Income
4)Strong National Defense
5) Smaller Government & More Privacy
6) Honk if you love Ron Paul !!!
You can buy this from Amazon at:
http://www.amazon.com/Roadmaster-Scrolling-Digital ...
but their are several on the Internet to buy.
You can power it with this (if you need easy power):

--------- NEW IDEA
Anyone viewing this non-destructive Projector graffiti system who can put one together can MAJOR attention from cities with one of these:
http://www.vimeo.com/631167/
It takes a while to see the idea in action, but if you are tech minded...this will bring major attention (& liberal minded people will love this eyecandy stuff).
The instructions to build it can be found on I think (I am not a techy):
http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2008/01/graffiti_ ...
We need this stuff active in as many places as possible now if we are going to have a chance.
This stuff is more personal than bumper stickers & signs which are so old school. The best converters have been the handmade signs. This stuff is like that x's 100.
The money donated to the campaign is fine. But if enough of these hit the streets.....I believe we will be over the top.
The 2nd idea is ideal for night appearances & attracts alot of attention on campuses & concerts. (Almost nobody has seen it & has a wow factor)
We probably need enough to build some (laser grafitti projector) for every major gathering & do an event all at one time on the sides of buildings.
(It is not destructive only light on very large surfaces)
NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE KNOW WHO RON PAUL EVEN IS ****** HELP THEM TO FIND OUT ABOUT HIM & HIS POSITIONS !!!!! - redsrule2500, on 02/05/2008, -0/+5Awesome, but of course you don't hear this on the news. UGH.
- bardo77n, on 02/04/2008, -2/+7The process is:
The Caucus goers vote on delegates for the State Convention. Anyone can be delegate, so the more committed group gets the most delegates. For example let's say Smileytown gets 5 delegates to the state convention. 20 people show up; 5 are for Romney, 5 are for Huckabee, 5 are for McCain, and 5 are for Paul. If all 5 Paul supporters request to be delegates and none of the other supports speak up, than Paul gets all the delegates from that city.
The Presidential Preference Poll shows the opinions of everyone in the room, but it isn't binding to the state convention. In the example above, each candidate would have 25% of the poll. However, it's the delegates that matter. So, in the example, Paul would have 25% in the Preference Poll, but he would have 100% of the delegates to the State Convention. - s1mph0ny, on 02/05/2008, -0/+5Judging by all the time you just spent in a dictionary, you do.
- liberteebell, on 02/04/2008, -2/+7Here's what you don't understand:
1) This race is not officially over. It's a "war" of attrition (we're down to 4 on the repub side) and of earning delegates. The msm is too clueless to report about how these elections work.
2) Even if we don't win tomorrow, there are things we've already won as in waking up a whole bunch of Americans who want something different than the garbage we've had for so many years. This is a movement to us Paultards--a lifetime of winning back our freedom. Ron Paul winning the presidency is just one facet of it.
3) Again, it's not over yet. Who knows if a 3rd party run is in the future?
4) If Ron Paul doesn't win, the losers will be the American people. Google David Walker, head of the GAO. The unfunded debt and the dollar crashing is going to destroy this country long before some guy in a cave in Pakistan.
~Forever a Paultard - racergrl2412, on 02/05/2008, -1/+6Yet another MAJOR STORY that will never hit the msm. Well, WE THE PEOPLE know the truth and McCain and the rest of the neocons will be wriggling back into the slimy hole they came from when the people have finished speaking! Way to go Maine!
- sirrahcirdec, on 02/05/2008, -0/+5Ron Paul kicks major ass.
- shak01, on 02/05/2008, -0/+4"I don't think anyone implied that this would get him the nomination. They are just pointing out what the media refuses to mention... That he did well. And out of curiosity, why do you resort to name calling?"
exactly! - Ifritdave, on 02/04/2008, -0/+4all this guy has is ad hominem, his lack of research and foresight is disturbing but quite representative of alot of america. I WILL feel sorry for him when the ***** hits the fan because the most pathetic slave is the one that thinks he is free.
- Orwig, on 02/05/2008, -2/+6cleary "ass raping" is the first thing on your mind when it comes to Mitt Romney so I ask myself, "What would Ron Paul do?". The answer is simple, ignor you as the fool you are and continue to move forward with a positive message and a honest plan. With that out of the way, YEAH! Ron Paul, Kicken Ass and taking names beyotch! Sweet! Lovin life and liv'n large. We're taking this thing all the way to the White House my friends!
- RevolutioniDOTs, on 02/05/2008, -1/+5This could actually be advantageous to the Paul campaign. As long as no one catches on that the delegates are what matters, no one is actively seeking them out.
Ron Paul's supporters ARE. And we HAVE BEEN for the last 8+ months.
Word has spread... and word has been acted upon.
And now - we're finally getting what we've been working for...
Delegates - not general election votes.
This is the primary.
There's a long ways to go yet.
One battle at a time. -
