- noodles1, on 12/15/2007, -45/+524I'm donating 200 today!
- rabidmonkey1, on 12/15/2007, -25/+342I'm donating $100 and a buddy of mine is donating $1000!!!
- Nickatnite101, on 12/15/2007, -32/+342The news needs to stop calling us a "Internet Following" we are bigger then that now.
- Kishoba, on 12/15/2007, -26/+301I plan to donate $100. I've been waiting for this day for excitedly for a while now, as I'm sure all Paul supporters have. I'm hope this goes above and beyond event the most generous estimates.
- SenatorChubby, on 12/15/2007, -25/+260Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate ever to have me excited about my country again. I get this dream of such a better America with Dr. Paul as our leader. Ron is also the only candidate I've ever donated money to. In fact it was $150 in November. I'm going for $250 tonight. I've spread his message and hope others will too. Vote person over party and let Ron Paul help us get our America back!
- NewGTGuy, on 12/15/2007, -24/+251I have donated $2400 so far and will hit my cap tomorrow.
- stevelasseter, on 12/15/2007, -18/+227I donated 100, and consider it my Christmas present to America.
- mudfoot, on 12/15/2007, -21/+213i will donate $100 and so will my girlfriend!!
- nalicosh, on 12/15/2007, -9/+200The campaign now has 90 paid fulltime staff, up from 3 just 6 months ago. They are spreading the message through massive TV AD time mostly in Iowa and NH so far. There are even rumors that the campaign plans to drop $2 Million for a 30 second spot at the Superbowl, just 3 days before Super Tuesday. 90 Million people will be watching! I would trust Ron Paul to spend our Money more wisely than ANY other Candidate.
Plus, the Tea Party is going to blow the Corporate Media's collective Mind!!! - Chazx, on 12/15/2007, -54/+204I think Ron Paul supporters are going to have to do better than donations pretty soon. The man himself has said he's struggling to figure out what to do with all of the money he's getting. At the moment the only major good these massive donations are doing is getting him news coverage about the donations. That's great, but news gets old very quickly, and this is really just more of the same.
Opinions? - MikeFallopian, on 12/15/2007, -7/+154"Don't call us an internet following"
- guy on internet - Proctor, on 12/15/2007, -24/+165I'm donating whatever I have in my paypal tomorrow.
- superbeast04, on 12/15/2007, -36/+172Being an outside lurker on these RP threads for a while, I have noticed a somewhat odd trend.
While I have scrolled through literally HUNDREDS of comments on the fellow, the vast majority seem to be hollow endorsements of his campaign, with a disturbing absence of policy endorsements. In fact, the few policy endorsements I've seen have been somewhat under-researched cheers for some of his more complex goals. I can't even count how many times I've seen something to the effect of "RP IS GONNA GET RID OF THE EVIL FEDS! UBERIFFIC!" Now, there are many arguments for AND against central banking, but few people here seem have done any homework on the issue. I'm seeing, 'fed bad' -> 'RP no like fed' ->'internet like RP' -> 'internet good' -> 'RP good', or some thought process along those lines.
Seriously people, after reading so much unbacked support for the guy, I actually spent a few hours looking at his policy goals. Then I spent exponentially more time researching the systems he plans to change. THEN I went and looked at what the experts said... because I have no problem recognizing that people have spent far more time than I analyzing these complex institutions.
3 components, I'll run through them again.
1) Research every major aspect of your candidates platform
2) Look at the systems he's planning to change (gun control, abortion, the fed, the education system) and get a really good understanding of their history, benefits, and flaws.
3) Have a listen to people who have done step 1 and 2 continuously for many years, and make sure these people are reliable (ie: not people like me, a random internet guy)
Please oh please, EVERYONE who's writing "RP2008! YAH BABY!11!"... go do those steps, I did and I feel MUCH better informed to make my OWN decision.
Oh, and I should mention this too... I did all this research on the guy... and I'm from freakin Canada. Why? Because your domestic and foreign policy has an effect on us too.
However, it obviously has an even LARGER effect on you... so don't bury this... because at least 1 person out there is going to realize it's beneficial to learn on your own. - NewGTGuy, on 12/15/2007, -7/+132Dude, wait until tomorrow.
- rabidmonkey1, on 12/15/2007, -19/+128When will the bury brigade realize that THEY ARE THE MINORITY? As soon as a Ron Paul story hits the front page they come along like children screaming "Spam! Spam!" Get over it. Get over yourselves. Diggers, the people, the majority, LOVE RON PAUL! I'm not saying you can't troll - just that you are trolls, and as such, you will get buried. Maybe you should just for a second clamp down on your extremely ignorant, unfounded anti-Ron Paul positions and take a second to do some actual research on what the man says and see why the people love him.
Or maybe you're working for the Neocons. Who knows? Who cares? Your time is over. BURY THE BURY BRIGADE! - relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -13/+121I hope this fundraiser soars. I don't have much, but I'll pitch some in too.
- 0zzy, on 12/15/2007, -5/+97On the 16th*
- understudy, on 12/15/2007, -9/+97Maybe that's what he's trying to do by donating to a candidate who understands monetary policy and the dangerous position the dollar is in.
_ - Progression, on 12/15/2007, -19/+107I just called my dad to let him know that what ever he was planning on giving me (money) for Christmas should go to the Ron Paul campaign. Please, everybody, do the same thing.
GO RON PAUL! - TsuruchiBrian, on 12/15/2007, -14/+101There is one part of that video that I didn't like. The part where it talks about how Ron Paul was married to the same woman for 50 years and shows a clip of Giuliani and references his divorces, and also shows Romney with a reference to polygamy in his family tree.
Ron Paul believe that issues are important, not people's personal lives. I am 100% sure that Ron Paul, the champion of liberty, would never attack Guiliani on his divorces, nor would he attack Romney if he himself had 100 wives. But Romney only has 1 wife, so even if I was in the mood to be attacking someone's personal life, I don't understand how people related to Romney (probably people who died before he was born), are even close to relevant to the discussion.
That said ....
Donate in the TEA PARTY!!!
Register as a REPUBLICAN for your states PRIMARY ELECTION!!!
DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!!!!
Go RON PAUL!!!!! - CivEZ, on 12/15/2007, -13/+98The sad truth of the matter is that the majority of people who ACTUALLY go out and vote
have been those who statistically watch more TV and CBS/FOX/etc (read, old people).
It seems to me that the younger online communities are being reached en force.
It's the TV ads, the Mass Media news coverage that is lacking. I believe the money will help
with increase coverage in those mediums.
But in the end you are correct, what's money without people going out in their
communities telling people about Ron Paul? That's what it will take. He won't win anything
if people don't vote for him in the primaries, but people can't vote if they don't know about him.
There are still a lot of people who don't even know who Ron Paul is.
Faith without works is dead. Hope without Action is rhetoric.
So.
Lets party like it's 1773 and spread the word even more! - vanimal, on 12/15/2007, -4/+78Ok! What's your dad's phone number?
- Arkavus, on 12/15/2007, -3/+77He was being facetious about not knowing how to spend it.
- dirka, on 12/15/2007, -11/+82I'm giving $500 even though its all on credit!! Fcuk you Neo-cons!!

campaign laws is 2300 for individuals, 4600 for couples. - scoot87, on 12/15/2007, -11/+70Im In for the Win
- Ineedanap, on 12/15/2007, -8/+66RP has tremendous grass roots support- people are spending their weekends holding signs on street corners, he has by far the largest meetup groups of any candidate
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v700/twane217/Me ...
money will give him the ability to spread the message beyond the grass roots.. it can be nothing but beneficial to the campaigh. - daEvan, on 12/15/2007, -7/+59a buddy of yours deserves a high five.
- RIMberry, on 12/15/2007, -6/+57You forgot another major issue, THE WAR, nobody beats his plan on the war.
- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -5/+54You awesome too much.

Ron Paul: Tea Party 07
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKZmIzEMUN8 - TheTaoOfBill, on 12/15/2007, -5/+51Since you like to copy and paste I'll copy and paste the same thing I gave to you last time:
1. You're right. He values equal rights for all. Not just minorities.
2. And Roe vs Wade denies the people the right to make their own state laws.
3. By cutting income tax and giving them a 28% raise?
4. Because not punishing the rich is unfair to poor people? Please! You don't have to punish the rich to give the poor a fair tax policy. By eliminating the income tax Ron Paul would be giving huge benefits to the poor and allowing them to spend all their paycheck on what matters to them most.
5. No it wouldn't. Property rights protect people from having to breath in smog on their own properties. It forces land owners to take care of their own land because it infringes on the land of their neighbors when they don't.
6. So that's why there are meetup groups in 22 countries nationwide to support Ron Paul. We would adopt a foreign policy of Switzerland. Who hates Switzerland?
7. On what evidence are you basing this out ragious claim?!
9. So you want to continue the same system? Only the states can possibly know how to fix their local schools. Ron Paul wants to eliminate national standards because there is no one size fits all standard that would fix all the public schools in America. It needs to be handled by states and parents.
10. Ron Paul is opposed to people saying we can't say Merry Christmas. Or people who say kids can't pray in school if they want to. It's called freedom of religion. Congress can make no law banning people from practicing religion anywhere anytime. - King0007, on 12/15/2007, -5/+51All of the Ron Paul Haters.....I just don't get it? We are trying to get this country back on its feet, and all you say is that we are spammers. Why? How come you don't complain about iphone, Ubuntu, Linux, etc posts? This election could change your life...only if Ron Paul gets elected. Imagine having no taxes taken out of your paycheck. This affects you directly. NOW. Imagine all people in the service industry no longer being taxed on tips. This affects you now. So to all of the RP haters...you may want to re-think what you are standing for.
I am donating $800! - Senchou, on 12/15/2007, -15/+61I'm a Ron Paul supporter, and for the most part, that video is great. But seriously, adding in the "don't tase me bro" clips? That completely ruined it for me. I couldn't watch the rest of the video after that.
- wstrucke, on 12/15/2007, -4/+49everyone who donates deserves a high five. everyone can make a difference.
- JT114881, on 12/15/2007, -6/+50Buried for being a troll.
- SideShowMel0329, on 12/15/2007, -2/+46A Super Bowl ad would actually be pretty cool
- Rapter09, on 12/15/2007, -3/+46I love that phrase. "An internet following" Because, you know, people on the internet aren't people and don't count wheras a group of people standing on a street corner is not a "street corner following. Conspiracy theories and spoofing aside, there's usually a human behind the IP address.
- FluffyWolf, on 12/15/2007, -8/+50http://diggronpaul.com/ is already in use.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 12/15/2007, -3/+43Dude...Ron Paul sits on both the Joint Economic Committee and the Committee on Financial Services. He isn't just a "Vagina" doctor. He is very experienced in monetary policy and is an economic scholar.
- NewGTGuy, on 12/15/2007, -4/+44Exactly.
Thanks for the support. - krinn, on 12/15/2007, -3/+42Ron Paul would:
Stop wasting money on Iraq and get rid of the war profiteers
Respect civil rights and not abuse the patriot act
Stop deficit spending and balance the budget
Stop wasting money on the war on drugs
Get rid of bureaucracy at the Dept of Education and have schools run by school boards who are elected by the people
Not give handouts to drug companies, and let competition drive down the cost of health care
I think these are laudable goals. - Phendrana, on 12/15/2007, -4/+43I've been trying to convert my family and friends to RP for awhile. Last time I talked to my dad, he was going to vote for Giuliani. We argued for awhile and I told him to just look RP up on the internet sometime. Last night I got a call saying he went to the website, and now him and his fiancee are 100% for RP. He's even getting the lawn signs, e-mailing/telling everyone he knows about him, and talking about volunteering for the campaign! So spread the word, it travels fast.
- GoKings, on 12/15/2007, -10/+49Actually... You've passed your cap already. $2300 is the most you can donate.
- dbc00per, on 12/15/2007, -12/+51digg cares....and digg is 3 million hits a day strong which means people care. If you don't like it you should comment on most of the other media channels and I'm sure they will pat you on the back. But as a digger and a patriot I think you suck. If fact I know you do.
- lvp1138, on 12/15/2007, -16/+53Troll alert!!! :) When people complain, its a few lines. When people complain with such prepared replies, including links and all, it's trolling. Specially since your profile shows you support other candidates. See, we Ron Paul supporters don't go on Obama and Dennis postings doing that. Get a life :) And, your posting is inaccurate anyway. By now, we are all well versed on his points.
- BESTenemy, on 12/15/2007, -3/+39Save money for what? The inflation?
