- Temporalist, on 01/25/2008, -1/+8I don't understand why anyone but Mitt, who was being asked the question, would need to know that. He is the only one that little snippet of info was pertinent to and he immediately used that information in his reply. Why would it be whispered between the moderators? Why would anyone participating in the debate, moderator or not, speak into the microphone when not being addressed? I don't know where it came from but it is clearly audible and he did reply immediately after it was whipsered.
I hope there are other instances with which to snag him. - ChimpFlix, on 01/25/2008, -1/+8Very weird thing this.
- Spectre74, on 01/25/2008, -1/+7It was very loud and clear on my television......suspicious.
- carter1955, on 01/25/2008, -1/+6Baloney that was a voice that came thru Romneys microphone, I heard it to and thought it was someone else at the time but I'll be damn Romney is Bush in disguise.
- shahruz84, on 12/17/2008, -1/+6It's not McCain's voice. And why would McCain say it out loud?
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -1/+4Russert left out the "gotcha" in his "gotcha question". Williams reminded him of that fact.
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -1/+3Brian Williams was prompting Russert's follow up question. Note how Russert interrupted Romney's answer with the "Reagan raised taxes" line.
- shahruz84, on 12/17/2008, -1/+2why the whisper? If it was Williams, why would he not just say it out loud? And why does Romney begin to speak so quickly right afterward?
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -2/+3Brian Williams was prompting Russert. Russert didn't mention that Reagan raised taxes in his opener, so Williams prompted Russert with the 'raise taxes' cue.
Notice how Russert immediately interrupts Romney and says Reagan raised taxes. - marhlfld, on 01/25/2008, -2/+3Watch how Romney sort of straightens up and ***** his head to the right. You can hear it loud and clear.
- MK888, on 01/25/2008, -2/+3Oh MSNBC is already trying to cover it up... already took down the comments section from the story... I wonder if they all (Except RP) were being fed lines....
- thexjib, on 01/25/2008, -2/+3get this out!!!!!!!!!!!!
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -2/+3Russert: "Will you do what Reagan did for Social Security what Ronald Reagan did in 1983?"
Romney: "I'm not going to raise taxes."
Russert: "Well Ronald Reagan raised the payroll taxes..."
All the questions asked by Russert and WIlliams were "gotcha questions". Russert left out the "gotcha", Williams reminded him of what it was.
Romney began speaking so quickly, not because he was waiting for an answer in his secret ear piece, but because Russert had finished asking the question. If what people are saying is true, that Romney was mic'ed and needed answers fed to him, then why aren't there longer pauses between the questions and the answers to give Romney's "handlers" time to feed him the answers? - Thundercrack, on 01/25/2008, -3/+3WRONG! The whisper came through Romney's earpiece and got picked up by his mic. Stop being a sheep
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -2/+2was it Williams? i'm not sure. i heard it when it happened, but thought it was McCain.
- saywhat5959, on 01/25/2008, -3/+3Rontards... Was Ron even there? I was confused by the Mitt show. He got his lines fed buddy. MITT IS TOAST
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -1/+1idk. why would he have his secret earpiece so close to the mic?
- shahruz84, on 12/17/2008, -2/+1http://digg.com/users/p0s3r
That's all I really need to say. - marhlfld, on 01/25/2008, -2/+1What a cheat Romney is.. he has to have someone hold his hand, er, ear, during the debates because he DOESN'T KNOW THE ISSUES. If the other candidates heard it like we did over a TV, then one of them should've spoke up about it! Hey Romney, whatcha got there? Someone "cueing" you?
- shahruz84, on 12/17/2008, -2/+1It is very fishy that MSNBC is trying to cover it up. Maybe Romney's blue suit had something to do with it......
- loumiller21, on 01/25/2008, -3/+1Why would Brian Williams immediately whisper that to Tim Russert? That makes no sense at all. The timing and wording of Romney's response makes it very likely he heard it.
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -3/+1It's known that mormon scientologists have such loud voices echoing around inside their hollow heads that you can often hear L. Ron Hubbard speaking to them in the room around them. Romney has a hard tuft of hair that usually insulates the sound, but not in this case. It could have been an ear piece with Tom Cruise at the other end informing him what to say, I don't know.
- loumiller21, on 01/25/2008, -3/+1I don't buy that, Romney didn't even begin to answer the original question yet. You think that Russert asked that question and didn't already know that Reagan raised taxes?
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -11/+4No you dumb Rontards. Brian Williams was whispering to Tim Russert.
