as the world comes out of poverty, someone's CO2 emissions will likely increase wherever they are.
renewable energy is a better solution that curbing immigration. - chillypacman, on 08/14/2008, -2/+7No their message is biased and warped beyond belief, it probably us not even verifiable through simple fact checking, considering these are the same people who deny man made global warming is an issue I'd say take their words with a grain of salt, wait for someone who is not politically motivated yet qualified to comment on the issue.

- BXRWXR, on 08/14/2008, -0/+3It's the smelly cooking, isn't it.
- SpaceDreamer, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2they say that there is no global warming,
and that it's not humans that cause global warming,
and that it's foreigners that causing global warming,
and that they actually cause it themselves but don't care because money and cars are more precious than the ecosystem. - Coven, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2But I thought the right didn't believe CO2 emissions were harmful? Aren't they the ones saying man made global warming is a myth and we should keep driving our Hummers?
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -1/+2Yeah, the ultra right wing nutcases hate brown people. We know.
- wynja, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1GD immigrants and their carpooling 8-9 people to a mini-van. This is not a slight on Mexicans as the Chinese people working at the buffet next to my office do the same thing.
- locamama, on 08/13/2008, -7/+7Oh those horrible brown people. It is so awful for them to want to work hard and support their families. And what about all of the businesses that profit from their labor? They all get a free pass like in Postville?
- edstate, on 08/13/2008, -3/+3Most of us that are against illegal immigration hold the cheating, un-American businesses that put us in this mess very much accountable. ...And don't fall into that faux racism *****. It's a canard and you know it.

1. The "hate group" charge comes from the SPLC, which has an indirect link to the Mexican government.
2. One of CAP's senior fellows is married to someone who used to help that same governmnt pass out their ID cards that let illegal aliens send money home.
3. TP links to a "counter-argument" that tries to pretend that reducing immigration is akin to "eliminating" people.
4. TP misquotes Krikorian. They say he said "immigration is incompatible with modern society"; he actually said (according to the **CFR**) "mass immigration is incompatible with the goals of a modern society". Big difference.
No one should trust anything TP says. - D1ckFace, on 08/14/2008, -5/+1the global warming swindle...

let 'em all in I say and abolish 'toxic' elements out of energy generation.
Peace. - eigenweasel, on 08/13/2008, -9/+5Their claim is quite correct. As immigrants from countries with low-carbon lifestyles immigrate to the USA and increase their levels of consumption towards the US average, perhaps over generations, there will be a corresponding increase in emissions due to their new high-carbon lifestyle that would not have occurred if they had remained in a country where a low-carbon lifestyle was the norm.
You might not like the messenger, but that doesn't mean the message is wrong.
