- wopbobaloobop, on 10/26/2008, -4/+24Look at phony McCain's real views on progressive taxes.

And let's see if Tom Brokaw calls McCain on this growing McCarthyism on Meet The Press tomorrow (don't hold your breath). It hasn't stopped with Congresswoman Bachmann, it's getting worse, not better. Palin was pouring it on today saying we're all going to lose our private property.
And this retard who interviewed Biden is married to a GOP media guy. - Berkana, on 10/26/2008, -4/+21He should ask if Palin is a socialist: Palin increased the dividend paid to Alaskans from taxation of oil revenues earned by the big oil corporations in Alaska.
- JenniferInMO, on 10/26/2008, -3/+19It is sad to aspire to be Ann Coulter, but downright pathetic to fail at it.
- shupy, on 10/26/2008, -4/+14No, the point is more sinister.
The buzz words of Marxist and Socialist are being manipulated by the right wing as an attempt at more fear-based politics. I find it sad that so many Americans know so little about Socialism and Marxism.
Reality is that most industrialized nations with a decent quality of life have some sort of socialism. It is the recognition that the health and well-being of a country is determined by the health and well-being of its citizens. The health of America is slipping, and we have a government that has been unable to respond or recognize what is happening.
I believe Obama is fundamental change. Just as Roosevelt was fundamental change. It is the recognition that there are areas that need regulation in a capitalist society, that human fallibility gives into greed and corruption when wealth and money are involved.
It is funny that the woman used Sweden as an example, considering that the average quality of life in Sweden is much higher than in this country. - inactive, on 10/26/2008, -3/+13"Do you still beat your wife?"

"I make my living off the evening news
Just give me something-something I can use
People love it when you lose,
They love dirty laundry
Well, I coulda been an actor, but I wound up here
I just have to look good, I dont have to be clear
Come and whisper in my ear
Give us dirty laundry
We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who
Comes on at five
She can tell you bout the plane crash with a gleam
In her eye
Its interesting when people die-
Give us dirty laundry" - hawkeye17, on 10/26/2008, -4/+10Stepford must be proud.
- inactive, on 10/26/2008, -0/+6You're mixed up. Obama threatened to filibuster the bill as a Senator. When "he gets into office" He will be President and would have the ability to veto, not filibuster. In any case, Obama did NOT filibuster as he promised to do and voted YES and the bill was signed into law by Bush. Thus giving immunity from prosecution to the telecoms FOREVER. Any new law planned by the Dems regarding accountability over illegal wiretapping will be ex post facto and legally unable to touch the telecoms. The Bush administration on the other hand may be held accountable - if the Dems have the guts to go after them.
- lcrosina, on 10/26/2008, -3/+8Turns out that her Barbara Wade's husband, Wade West, is a media consultant for Republican politicians!
http://www.bluetidalwave.com/2008/10/conflict-of-i ...
West's media communication and fundraising skills have made him a popular consultant for Republican political candidates ranging from local elections, to more than 85 members of Congress and members of the President’s cabinet.
Wade West is also a Republican donor. West donated $250 to the NATIONAL REPUBLICAN CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEE. He gave $500 to Will McBride a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Florida. As well as $500 to John Mica and $1,000 to Richard Keller both GOP congressional candidates in Florida.

To register a complaint about the interview please call WFTV's parent company, Cox Broadcasting, at 678-645-0000. - JenniferInMO, on 10/26/2008, -2/+6Karl Marx is turning over in his grave right now. I have never seen such fear mongering and extremist rhetoric where the people have no idea what they are talking about. Marxism is a philosophy, a collection of tenets and ideology. To call someone a "Marxist" by extracting and comparing one quote from one tenet of Marxism which may seem to relate to something a candidate is proposing is a bit extreme. It is an absurd argument which is not taken seriously by anyone with half a brain.
To see a news organization pander to the lowest common denominator is not only a joke, it is bad business. - inactive, on 10/26/2008, -2/+5Hah! You fell for Barack's story.
This stuff wasn't "disproven". It was DENIED. Not the same thing. Crooks ALWAYS deny the accusations. And it ain't a "smear" when it's true.
All the charges that I made are easily documented.
You're behind reading your Democrat talking points. What you're supposed to say now is, yes:
Davis was Obama's mentor, Obama's career was launched at Ayer's home. And so on.
But you're supposed to say IT DOESN'T MATTER. You're supposed to say, it's just a distraction.
That's the Democrat talking point now. - mattrmcg, on 10/26/2008, -2/+5I have had this one question in the back of my mind about Obama these past few weeks. Obama voted on FISA, and stated that when he gets into office, he will filibuster the bill. Now my question is, if you do not support a bad bill, why would you vote on it? Wouldn't it be better to not vote on it and then filibuster it? Or is he not going to filibuster it since he is in support for it?
Not trying to be a troll, just a question that I think some other viewpoints could help me to understand - empirefalling, on 10/26/2008, -1/+3Lol…..Do not worry because of this demented creatures interview! She is in the same caste as the poor mentally ill woman that carved a “B” on her face. Rest assuredly that your next Leader will be Barack Obama. Her own actions and questions revealed her as being unstable. Calling for her termination would not solve the problem. Expect this type of behavior from a few right wing plants within the media. The best that can be done is to ridicule her, her party and those associated with her and those like her. Point her out as a ill-advised journalist. A dim witted person that can not comprehend the changes needed in America. A throw back to the days of paranoia and shame. The same technique can be applied to all ring wing subordinates. Deride them in public, ignore their questions and attention. Take pleasure from their inadequacies and befuddlement at your refusal to engage in any petty arguments and spread that merriment to others like yourself. Do not become angry. Simply stare and laugh.
- Awspire, on 10/27/2008, -0/+2Hey, thanks for the number, calling to compliment.
- Dreamzville, on 10/26/2008, -1/+2Thank you for your knowledge. I wish more people would just listen to reason and facts.
- Dreamzville, on 10/26/2008, -1/+2Thank you, Joe....I will do just that.
- mattrmcg, on 10/27/2008, -0/+1Ah ok, understood, thanks!
- hopefuel, on 10/27/2008, -0/+1Well said. I am heartened that your rational words haven't been buried.
If the Democrats were to take a similar approach they would all be calling McCain a fascist. - hopefuel, on 10/27/2008, -0/+1All the charges you made are easily documented. But just because someone documents something doesn't mean it is true. The press/internet is not the Ministry of Truth. (yet)
I suggest you pay a visit to snopes.com and check out the facts for yourself, but you won't bother because you feel all safe and cosy in your blinkered existence bubble where you are 100% right and can dismiss anything that disagrees with your point of view as marxist/liberal/commie/[insert inappropriate fear mongering term of the day] - samimnot, on 10/27/2008, -0/+1Dreamzville is exactly right ;-)
140Suffolk got some spam e-mail and thought to himself..."if it's in an e-mail, it's just gotta' be true"
LMAO...what a moron - inactive, on 10/27/2008, -0/+1This article is as old and repetitive as McCain
- Awspire, on 10/27/2008, -1/+1Finally, some questions worth asking. Thanks lefties, for making this interview viral.
- Ecuno, on 10/27/2008, -1/+1This was already posted a few days ago and hit the front page by many views. Buried.
- jstohler, on 10/26/2008, -1/+1And email: barbara.west@wftv.com
WFTV General Manager: walter.windsor@wftv.com,
COX Chairman, Chief Executive Officer: jim.kennedy@cox.com - inactive, on 10/27/2008, -1/+1It's all documented, girls.
Barack speaking for Odinga is on video from CNN. You'll notice that Snopes avoids that subject. Because the clips of Obama speaking for Odinga in Kenya or so easily available.
Barack's career being launched at Ayer's house, and Barack's years of working hand-in-glove with Ayers is all fact. As is the fact that it was Ayers who gave Obama his job chairing the Annenburg Challenge, where they misspent $150 million that was supposed to improve education in urban Chicago.
And there are newspaper clippings from 10-12 years ago showing Obama as a candidate and member of the socialist New Party.
God, you girls are SOOO easily seduced. A deep voice, a handsome face. Some calm assurances from Barack and you're on your backs. - Slices, on 10/26/2008, -1/+1A Marxist, eh?... in case you http://wonderwhat.info I think about this news...
- Dreamzville, on 10/26/2008, -4/+3You fell for all the stupid e-mail smears that were disproven months ago.
FOOL! You've been PUNK'D! - inactive, on 10/26/2008, -14/+6Well, let's see...
Obama's mentor as a teen was Marxist Frank M Davis.
Obama went to Kenya to stump for Marxist Raila Odinga.
Obama's career was launched at the home of Marxist William Ayers.
And Obama was a member of the socialist New Party.
But why would ANYONE suspect Obama was a Marxist. - inactive, on 10/26/2008, -9/+1Of course Obama is a Marxist. All democrats are. The vast majority of their supporters have no idea what the party actually stands for, which is a cradle-to-grave wealth redistributing nanny state. The scary part is that this is the lesser of two evils, the greater being neoconservatives - who are also Marxists, dating back to Trotsky.
- Ciryon, on 10/26/2008, -13/+3Well this is exactly the point isn't it. Obama = no fundemental change. You have been totally brainwashed just like the neo cons.
Buried for biased blogspam. Could have just linked to the youtube clip.
