Firefighter Basher Conrad Burns
Immigrant Basher "Macaca" George Allen
You better start looking for new jobs.
November: you are out of office. - vegasbright, on 10/12/2007, -10/+31Doesn't he mean that the eye of sauron is focused on iraq?
Mordor of course being located on Pennsylvania Ave. - maiku00, on 10/12/2007, -6/+21Wheres frodo when you ***** need him
- konspence, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Even then, doesn't his analogy compare us to the "bad guys" in LOTR?

mothers against drunk commenting
it's a new association, I just formed it. - john2kx, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16dude thanks for letting us know you're drunk so that we can properly admire how awesome that is to you.
- Koopa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9If the Eye of Sauron is focused on Iraq, I sure as hell hope we have a Frodo going out to destroy the One Ring...because otherwise, it looks like this whole thing has just been a huge disaster.
- parker1105, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Please keep us updated on your very fascinating life.
- jonjon602, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10there are more terrorist today then there were pre 9/11. (according to NIE) And the reason why there are more terrorist today in Iraq is due to the incompetence of the Bush administration and the incompetence of the Republican controlled congress in doing its job (oversight)
- civdis24, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8I think he meant the eye of sauron to represent Al-Qaeda and the like. So because the eye is focused in Iraq with all the terrorism occurring there, the homeland is free. Makes sense sort of but its a pretty ***** way to look at it. Let the Iraqis suffer so we can be free!
- RamanujanRedux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I'm fairly certain he's talking about Satan. Which would make Dubya Gandalf.
*shudder* - Geekbeard, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11Well, I don't know who Mordor is, but the USA just has to be Isengard. Y'know, good at first, but then surreptitiously becoming evil with plans to take over the worlld.
- thecapuchin, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Wow, Ol' Frothy Mix himself proves to be even more of an idiot than I previously thought.
So this monkey is comparing the "Good Ol' US of A" with Mordor and Sauron? How is that a good thing? - tidu, on 10/12/2007, -7/+12I live about 100 feet away from the border of Bucks County, where's the newspaper's from. I don't like Santourm too much at all, but his current opponent, Bob Casey really isn't all that great either, which could be a problem to people on the borderline.
- mattyfu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I don't know what's funnier Santorum's namesake or the huge nerds poking holes in his LOTR analogy.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7I don't know about a ring, but there's definitely a dick and a bush that he should destroy.
- Boor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5We are most defiantly gunna end up with a large chain of analogies now. What will represent the ring, and the hobbits. I bet Canada would make sweet hobbits.
- civdis24, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Kim Jong-il is Gollum!
"What's taters, precious! What's taters?" hahaha - ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6The Eye of Mordor is on Iraq. That's how North Korea got the nuke.
- neko, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4also NoScript.
- NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Regardless, Casey is way ahead in the polls. What Pennsylvania needs is to get rid of that jerk Rendell.
*NSMike winks from Western PA at his Eastern Pennsylvanian Neighbor, tidu* - Dracos, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6WTF??
What Santorum doesn't want to admit is that the White House is Barad-dur, and this Congress is little more than a tribe of cowardly Orcs toiling for their master's favor. - Larke2000, on 10/12/2007, -2/+410 bucks says he never even read the books. moron.
- ZippidyDoo, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8Why would anyone want to register.
- ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Gollum.
- ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I know what Rick Santorum meant. I also don't particularly care. Crawl back in your hole.
- FlownCars, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Al-qaeda's the eye of mordor, not the U.S.; reread Santorum's comments.
Non-drunk people who read sloppily but choose to post anyway should really wonder how many other things they misunderstand when it comes to poltics.
If you're gonna express outrage, the least you owe to yourself and to the time of your fellow users is to be minimally informed--which starts with learning how to read things for what they are, instead of what you think they are.
Even if you were in a hurry and misread, logic should've told you that no politician is gonna equate the U.S. to Sauron, unless they're totally ignorant of Tolkien, which Santorum clearly is not. - NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"I... I just can't remember the password to open the door to Moria... Uh... Open sesame? ... Gobble Gobble? No... Uh... Strategery? Oh! Subliminimibal!"
*Door creaks open in pity* - theDevilsDue, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Your skills of political analysis are supreme. I bow before you!
- Silentshadow900, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'll have to tell the intelligencer about this!
- DocDEB, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Little Ricky must have just finished watching those DVDs he got for Christmas. Sure makes him look like a hip with-it stud.
- Corrosionx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Or, politicians lie and this is actually double-speak, and the U.S. really is the eye of Sauron.
- maino82, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3woah easy easy... all personal attacks on me aside, you have to admit, when you read the story description, it's funny! that's all i'm sayin...
- rabidjester, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4“We are fighting the war that we are engaged in — Islamic fascism — in Iraq. We are fighting those people right now, the people who, if we left, would come here and destroy us.”
I'm tired of this cowardly *****, the people and politicians who say crap like this really need to grow a set of balls. - dextrocardia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I cannot wait to vote that moron out of office. YAY, democracy!
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5That's the same thinking the creators of the site had. That's why they allow you to watch an ad for 10 seconds instead of registering.
- neko, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3The One Ring is the WMDs, Sauron is constantly searching for it.
Coalition of the Willing would be the Ring Wraiths.
And I guess the way it tries to corrupt the minds of those who wield it, would be Fox News or something. - malfourmed, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Does that make Kim Jong-Il Frodo? ;-)
- anthonybruno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i cant wait until elections are over.. the bashing of everyone during my commercials while i try and watch price is right is too much..
- hifiDesign, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I wonder if Santorum went to a grocery store, could he distinguish between apples and oranges? Because that's what the difference is when you compare the unjust occupation of Iraq vs. our morally necessary (and belated) participation in WWII.
- NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Heh, the leftover letters are "tm"...
So Santorum is Sauron TM? - NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Casey is running on his father's name, and it's working. Despite the fact that we may not end up with someone better than Santorum, at least if Casey wins this one, Santorum will be out of the senate seat, and MAYBE, if Casey proves to be no better, someone else will beat him out of the position. It's time for Santorum to go. This is the best way I can see it.
- vertinox, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Sanatorum is a douche when it comes to morality. I heard him speak on NPR and made me ill how he was bashing non-Christians and womens rights. I don't know who he is running against, but I'm voting for them.
Doesn't mean I like Dems either... I'm voting against Councilman Nutter when he runs for Philly Mayor because he is a douche with the anti-smoking campaign when what we really need is to deal with the 300+ murders this year. - konspence, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Digg is the place where if someone mentions ads, even if you don't have adblock installed, you still say your adblock blocked it to tout your geekiness. And I don't mean this in any offensive way to anybody.
- reticulate, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4I'm sure all those dead civilians in Iraq will be very pleased to hear it.
- Artifez, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1He's made entirely of feces
/From PA - maiku00, on 10/12/2007, -6/+5too bad i'm not an idiot and I run ad blocker
i cant even see the stupid sponsor logo
what a dumb website - ClosedCaption, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0You know, I always joked about how they used to reference other wars all the time as a justification for Iraq. Without talking about Iraq, I thought it was funny to say they would reference Star Wars and what if Luke stopped training.
That was funny when it was a joke, this aint funny when it comes from a Senator....Colbert yes, Santorum not so much - Wizardo55, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2because when you're drunk, you totally think about that *****, right blastradius?
- diggnationdevon, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3After watching the debates and reading this I can gurantee you right now, Rick Santorum will be out of office and Bob Casey will be the new senator. I guarantee it. So do the polls: http://www.bobcasey.com/?splash=1
