- camipco, on 07/19/2008, -53/+224Obama '08 - because it's nice when the President gets it right the first time.
- kainen, on 07/19/2008, -17/+173the GOP is awful. They need to remake their entire party.
- swampfoot, on 07/19/2008, -18/+125Something tells me that to the McCain camp, very soon, al-Maliki will suddenly become the enemy.
- Seann7656, on 07/20/2008, -6/+85"Truth is treason in the empire of lies" -Ron Paul
- duckley, on 07/19/2008, -39/+115Republican = Greedy SOB's
- abarefootboy, on 07/19/2008, -36/+90 ........ I love the smell of Republicans burning in the morning ... !
- rpi22, on 07/20/2008, -12/+57Please stop censoring yourself for *****´s sake!
- inactive, on 07/20/2008, -28/+72I am not surprised. The alternative is 100-years-in-Iraq.
Way to go Al-Maliki. Obama 08! - Pebcak, on 07/20/2008, -3/+43Some of us are. I've never had an interest in politics until this year after hearing Ron Paul. Since then I've joined the Republican Liberty Caucus, and combined with Paul's Campaign for Freedom, groups are forming all over the country to start taking over their party organization at the local and state level. Trust me, things are changing, but it won't happen overnight.
- flavioribeiro, on 07/20/2008, -58/+93You misspelled "Ron Paul".
- Stryder81, on 07/20/2008, -1/+34That was Dennis Kucinich's line when asked why he was one of the few candidates to oppose the patriot act.
- Speed, on 07/20/2008, -1/+34I believe his exact words were "That's because I read it"
- inactive, on 07/20/2008, -4/+35Prime Minister al-Maliki is a real patriot worried for his country. The position he's taken isn't easy but he has the guts to stand by it.
- Samo89, on 07/20/2008, -23/+48yet another thing Obama can cross off his to-do list before even winning office
- scratched, on 07/20/2008, -7/+30Show me an example of when Ron Paul has lied.
With all of the internet media out there that never gets deleted, I'm sure you can give us plenty of examples. - inactive, on 07/20/2008, -3/+26Kucinich is a thousand times more qualified to be president than Obama.
- ileftfark, on 07/20/2008, -7/+29In November, no one will be saying anything about this. Americans a) don't know who al-Maliki is, and b) will forget what he's said in a matter of days. That's how our system operates, if you haven't noticed.
- withears, on 07/20/2008, -18/+36We don't need a high-paid republican strategist/lobbyist telling us what we already know.
What we NEED is George W. Bush standing side-by-side, arm-in-arm with his clone, John McAnus.
John McCain - The Third Bush Term. - danielkempkens, on 07/20/2008, -20/+38Obama won't get anything right.
Obama '08 - Illegal Wire Taps We Can Believe In - tjmb9, on 07/20/2008, -10/+27You might want to think about finishing high school...
- whiteguysamurai, on 07/20/2008, -10/+26Shut up, you're not rich, you're just a bastard.
A bastard so afraid of commies, or fags or Muslims that you are willing to sell us all down the river to the worst, most evil criminals alive today.
You call people with social ethics pinko's because the aspect of helping people goes against your grain, You were a schoolyard bully because you grew up in a family of thugs, and you were indoctrinated into the ME party.
You and people like you are what's wrong with America. - ElectricRebel, on 07/20/2008, -11/+27Maybe they wouldn't be so ***** if they would govern according to the principles of a constitutional republic rather than an oligarchy.
- storm72, on 07/20/2008, -12/+26I'm no McCain supporter, but as a resident of Illinois it's pretty clear to me that Obama has done absolutely nothing as one of my Senators. Like any politician, he is bound to special interests and will pay them back if he is elected. Anyone who thinks that he, or any other politician, actually cares about the average person is either at best just naive, or at worst, seriously deluded. This country is in the toilet and the Democrats are as much to blame as the Republicans. I think a perfect campaign slogan for Obama would be "Celebrity over substance."
- PunkRampant, on 07/20/2008, -0/+14Oh yeah, the guy who couldn't wait to waste taxpayers' money in the witch hunt against Clinton's blowjob, and supported the Patriot Act as well as the Iraq war, and now has the nerve to tell us he holds libertarian principles.
- inactive, on 07/20/2008, -4/+18Look at his name, I'm sure he already is the enemy to them.
- xexx, on 07/20/2008, -3/+16That really doesn't change anything he said, other than try to convey that he didn't mean to interfere in American politics, he STILL said Obama was correct.
- Sornos, on 07/20/2008, -3/+15Well I may not be able to find him lying (he is human, so he has lied at one point, whether or not he did that while on record, I do not know), but I have found him denying that evolution exists and failing to understand what "theory" means.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=6JyvkjSKMLw - rearlgrant, on 07/20/2008, -4/+15"Who they choose as their president is the Americans' business. But it's the business of Iraqis to say what they want. And that's where the people and the government are in general agreement: The tenure of the coalition troops in Iraq should be limited," he said.
"Those who operate on the premise of short time periods in Iraq today are being more realistic," al-Maliki said.
Rich.
Funny how that quote didn't make it into the Faux News report. Must have tipped the fair and balanced scale too far to the left. - tehsilentcircus, on 07/20/2008, -8/+19This has been obvious for a long time now. If the past 8 years are any evidence, it's obvious that the present day republican agenda is a disastrous way to go.
A vote for McCain is a vote for the further destruction of this country. Simple as that. - Loonacy, on 07/20/2008, -1/+12Another fine "comment" from SetOverSet.
I particularly like this other comment of yours:
"Obama is totally safe in Iraq being a Muslim and all." - DutchGuilder, on 07/20/2008, -6/+17> news that Iraqi Prime Minister al-Maliki endorsed Obama's timeline
A spokesman for al-Maliki said these remarks "were misunderstood, mistranslated and not conveyed accurately." http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/07/19/almaliki ... - OC73, on 07/20/2008, -8/+18Who gives a ***** if Obama says he was always against the war. We all know when it comes time to vote, Obama does what's politically expedient.
No one should doubt for a second that he would've cast his vote in favor of the war if he was in congress back in 2002. - arvvvs, on 07/20/2008, -0/+9Gandhi once said that he would prefer Indian rule over British rule, even if the Indians messed up.
Its true, a country wants to be ruled by its own people, own troops. - richmomz, on 07/20/2008, -1/+10They just need to throw out all the neo-cons and the walking vaginas that are too cowardly to stand up to them, and replace them with real Republicans that still believe in limited government and fiscal responsibility. The circus-act that currently calls itself the GOP is a disgrace, and is the reason why I abandoned the party years ago.

-=D - jerematic, on 07/20/2008, -1/+10This is about the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. We're all human beings, why don't you try acting like one?
- JeremyGrieves, on 07/20/2008, -19/+28I hope for the sake of everybody Obama wins.
- throop77, on 07/20/2008, -12/+21You mean the douche bag that changed all his positions immediately after winning the nomination? No thanks.
- jerematic, on 07/20/2008, -0/+8I wish. European nations may have their problems with government, but at least if the party in power gets out of hand they're ousted in the next election almost immediately.
Unfortunately in the current system a vote for a third party is almost automatically a vote for the Republican candidate. - infinitus64, on 07/20/2008, -3/+11You sure showed your true colors cracka. Actually the last thing we need in the oval office is another neocon , you troll.
- storm72, on 07/20/2008, -10/+18He's just another spineless Democrat who talked a great game about change but turned out to be a gutless wimp when it actually came time to undo what the Republicans have done to this country.
- VitriolAndAngst, on 07/20/2008, -3/+11It's so funny, because the Faux Media and the BushCo do nothing but fear-monger and talk about how diplomacy doesn't work. Then they make fun of the Hussein middle name of Obama.
And Obama goes on a tour, and accomplishes more diplomacy in one week than BushCo has in 8 years -- and a Republican has a rare moment when an honest statement comes out of their mouth.
Priceless. - masterspeaks, on 07/20/2008, -4/+12Make sure you vote for him... so we can see how wrong we are. -_-
- chrisinsocalif, on 07/20/2008, -21/+29Obama is overrated, he wont make change. All you who digg me down remember to look back at what i said to see how wrong you were. Seems many are up on Obama's nuts, i hope he wins to see how wrong you people are.
- Archer007, on 07/20/2008, -0/+8Its sad to see a party that once stood for civil liberties and as little government as possible has changed so completely.
- inactive, on 07/20/2008, -5/+12As far as I can tell, Obama's done nothing significant in his senate career other than run for president.
- zardoz73, on 07/20/2008, -0/+7don't feed the troll, people.
- theaceoffire, on 07/20/2008, -5/+12The people with the least amount of money, who need it to survive, are paying the majority of their income on taxes.
The people with the most money, who are unable to even spend the interest in a year due to the huge amount, are fighting every cent given.
Yeah, ***** the poor. - theaceoffire, on 07/20/2008, -0/+7Exactly, he just said that Obama's time line sounded logical, that he liked the idea of the US getting out, etc.
*sigh*
Did it not bother you that the "update" came from the pentagon first? - xexx, on 07/20/2008, -1/+8god speed, Pebcak, god speed.
