- bluevillage, on 06/20/2008, -1/+9This happened right outside the debate in Los Angeles during the CA primary. Best video of the primary season. Look at his other stuff on YouTube. Wonderful Obama supporter.

WHAT . THE . ***** ?????
My employer offers insurance at the cost to me: $500 per month.
In my rural northern MN town, hardly ANY of the employers offer insurance. They get around it either because they are a small business (with few employees) or the more popular way: they don't hire fulltime employees. Thus, ZERO benefits.
When I was divorced four years ago, my husband's employer would allow me to continue on their plan...at the rate of $775/month. (I was always insured through my spouse--as I never had employment that offered my insurance program.)
If I'm not insured through an employer, my monthly cost would be much, much higher--as I have preexisting conditions from a near fatal car accident.
In a nutshell...do I have insurance? HELL NO! ***** NO!
Do I go to the doctor without something already being really, seriously, obviously wrong? NO. Do I take meds that were prescribed to me for years (and that I took when I had health insurance to help cover it)? HA!
My children nearly lost their mother five years ago (and were in the car when it happened.) They certainly ***** deserve to have a healthy mom in every reasonable way possible. It's ridiculous that I cannot afford my own basic health needs.
$160/month for BCBS...What The *****. - alapoet, on 06/21/2008, -1/+4I like this guy -- he's really on top of the issues!
And it's such a pleasure to see him outwit the reporter at every turn -- not by avoiding his questions, but meeting them head on! - tcbishop12, on 06/21/2008, -2/+5Kudos to this Obama supporter! The interviewer - who was an idiot - was certainly hoping for a vapid response to buttress whatever argument he might want to make about Obama supporters being emotionally involved but uninformed. Instead, he encountered an Obama supporter who - like a lot of us - was well-engaged in the issues, capable of making a cogent and winning argument supporting - not just his candidate -- but his candidate's position on a fairly complex issue.
Nice to have had some time away with my sons camping, but also good to be back. - CDep, on 06/21/2008, -0/+2Most people are not as informed as Derrick, black or white.
- Hillsfar, on 06/21/2008, -1/+2Hahahah! The reporter was hoping to find some "stereotypical" Black guy out in the street, thinking the person wouldn't know anything and the reporter could thrash him. Instead he got the educated, well-spoken son of a pediatrician! Hahahahahah!
