- jannamariposa, on 07/16/2008, -1/+3"ICE will look at this to see if any of these allegations are founded." Uh.. yeah. Isn't that a little like having the fox guarding the henhouse?
It's shameful that these abuses are being perpetuated in the U.S.A., traditionally a beacon of hope for those seeking a better life. Documented or not, no one deserves to be degraded like this. - rearlgrant, on 07/16/2008, -1/+2A spokesperson for ICE and the Tacoma detention center was on the Dave Ross show this morning. Her talking point "Trust us, we're from the government. Cooperate and you'll be fine." When Ross asked her how a person could avoid being detained by ICE mistakenly, she asked Dave a series of questions even he didn't know the answer to... Rich.
Gawd Dave's good, he's already written about it. http://www.mynorthwest.com/?nid=90 - kindaintoit, on 07/16/2008, -1/+2What kind of example are we setting ? We're supposed to be a country of laws and when we can't even abide by them how can we turn to a mother of 4 looking for work to keep her kids in her home country from starving to death that her offense is punishable but ours aren't.
