- Shiftgood, on 09/07/2008, -22/+164guys... psst... over here.. hey.. huddle up.. ok... we all need to understand something.
I know you hate the neo-cons and you're bewildered that anybody would still want to vote for one after 8 years of the degradation of america. But its stories like these that only hurt the cause, not help it. I know, i know what you're thinking "Who would vote for someone who pushed a lady in a wheelchair? they gotta be twisted".
But the world just doesnt work that way. If you try to make too strong of a case people get defensive and then go the other direction. I know its insaine how people think, but it just is that way, and you gotta use it instead of ignore it.
Also, lots of McCain supporters are not stupid red-necks. So stop being so quick to insult someones intelligence, its devicive, in-effective and low. However, McCain trolls are easy to spot by their rhetoric, speak with your bury button... not the reply button.
So its best to find a few good ideas, lay them out there and let people come to the conclusions themselves in a good clean manner.
so lets all agree to stop digging these anti McCain crap articles because there is plenty of solid facts out there that bury McCain anyways. No need for this. - Echota, on 01/05/2009, -42/+146He has the right to abuse people in wheel chairs because he was a POW!
Obama/Biden 08! - 52growler, on 09/07/2008, -25/+89Oh, sure ! This is the man I want negotiating with Russia, China and the Iranians on our behalf!
What a ***** douche! - garryw, on 09/07/2008, -13/+74Airports hire people to do this full time, it's actually a nice act of service to push someone in a wheelchair.
- Sfenton, on 09/07/2008, -18/+54"McCain stopped, glared at her, raised his left arm ready to strike her, composed himself and pushed the wheelchair away from him," according to Eleanor Apodaca, the sister of an Air Force captain missing since 1967.

Pics or it didn't happen. - Synova, on 09/07/2008, -9/+42P.O.W. right in the kisser!
- Ant08Kat, on 09/07/2008, -29/+58This man has no business anywhere near the Whitehouse, good for McClatchy and good for Huffpo, now if the rest of the traditional media would just do their jobs!
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -9/+37With each passing day, the HuffPo ***** gets more and more crazy ... it's almost funny how stupid these guys are. I really do wish that the staff at the HuffPo could be anally raped by polar bears as payback for them ruining Digg.
- chickenloco, on 09/07/2008, -6/+32Why was it necessary to Submit the Huffington Post's Article? Why not the original report, which is linked to in the HuffPo article?:
http://www.mcclatchydc.com/227/story/51660.html - Brad324, on 09/07/2008, -4/+29also eats Babies.. marinaded with the tears of endangered animals.
- vcn3wb05, on 09/07/2008, -4/+25This gem is also in there:
"It's impossible now to determine whose recollection of these events is accurate."
I love it. - inactive, on 09/07/2008, -19/+36Is anyone else tired of all these huffington post articles?
- kmom5, on 09/07/2008, -8/+24Although I have to say that this is entirely possible, I think that people should use prudence in pushing this story.
If it turns out to be BS, it' s going to make us all look really, really bad. - TheInformer, on 09/07/2008, -16/+31Any more, I instantly bury any of the drivel from Huffingtonpost.
Why?
Let's see, their "articles" are one of the following:
1. hating towards McCain, Palin, anything conservative, and ignoring of anything positive they do.
2. loving towards Obama, Biden, anything leftist, and ignoring of any faults they have.
Have I missed anything? No. Huffingtonpost spewage. Buried. - firebirdx01, on 09/07/2008, -2/+17Aren't you supposed to push women in wheelchairs...-?
- joel8x, on 09/07/2008, -14/+29This kind of reporting is so petty. The issues are all the Dems need to win in the next election. Why does the Huffington Post feel it's necessary to stoop so ***** low? They do more harm with this ***** to themselves than to McCain.
- palindrome12, on 09/07/2008, -10/+25I think this is just some BS story that someone is pulling out of their ass. John McCain may be an angry man, and may have a temper, but I honestly don't believe this story. Anyone can get a group of people together and make some stuff up.
- BuboTitan, on 09/07/2008, -2/+15Not only that, but keep in mind that this is a man who can't even lift his arms above his head, due to his previous injuries. I don't think he was about to karate-chop the woman.
- SRSco, on 09/07/2008, -3/+16I used to push old women in wheelchairs for service projects as a teenager. I'd push them from their dormitory to the Bingo hall at the rest home. If I knew it was so horrible, I wouldn't've done it.
- wildone71, on 09/07/2008, -5/+18Report: McCain once ate a baby!
- insinuate, on 09/07/2008, -2/+13kill em with kindness.
- TheSabre, on 09/07/2008, -9/+20How dare you question the Huffington Post! You should know better than to do something like that. Question authority, doubt the government, and blindly trust everything bloggers write on the Internet.
- christopheles, on 09/07/2008, -2/+13You really expect him to negotiate with anyone?
- fulibs, on 09/07/2008, -11/+22burried - huffpoo!
- MediaWeasel, on 09/07/2008, -16/+26I don't know. I respect your point of view Shiftview, but to be honest when people are given verified evidence of McCain's temper they're often surprised. Why? Because not everyone watches C-Span or keeps up with national and international politics as others might, and only see what's fed to them via Faux Gnus and such. Not everyone questions what goes on behnd the scenes.
It's important not only to comment on the policies but the personalities - this is why Obama's cool, measured approach contrasts so strongly with McCain's hot-headedness and demonstrates to people why we need a clear-headed thinker in the White House who won't be ruled by his anger and passion but by reason and intelligence. That's why it's important to make people more aware of who they're voting for and what their characters and personalities are like.
If McCain is insisting that this election isn't about policies, then it only leaves personalities. In which case, the public needs to have some examples of this on both sides. Don't you think? - mikesoba, on 09/07/2008, -4/+14He probably abuses people because he was a POW. We don't want, will not permit, an irrational man to become president.
- poprocksandsoda, on 09/07/2008, -8/+18This is actually starting to get entertaining. We have outrageous claims by places like Huffington on one side ... correlated to McCain-Palin rising in the Gallup poll past Obama on the other. It's no cooincidence since these filthy allegations against McCain-Palin are what is turning people against the Democratic ticket. I have to wonder if all these blogs don't want just that. If you are a supporter of Obama you should Digg down these stories because they are backfiring.
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -6/+16Huffington Post propaganda unless I see video's or pictures
- Shiftgood, on 09/07/2008, -4/+13This article is not strong enough or recent enough. I understand your point but your opponents have such thick armor that when something like this bounces off, it only makes them more affirmed in their decisions and polarizes their positions.
Do you think this article will sway voters? I dont. I think its good at fanning the flames of hate and helping me focus and validate my emotions twoards McCain.
You might overestimate the opponents supporters ability to take one incident and apply it to the future. scary, but true. - palehorse864, on 09/07/2008, -10/+19That's nothing. A lot of people saw John Mccain at a music recital. After it was over, he just jumped up out of his seat... and... just started BANGING his hands together!
- Sfenton, on 09/07/2008, -7/+16How the hell does this statement make sense?
Positive diggs, really? - helloemptiness, on 09/07/2008, -0/+9Actually, this isn't just a huffington post story. Here is an Anchorage daily news article going into more detail about his temper (including pushing a woman in a wheelchair):
http://www.adn.com/uspolitics/story/518455.html - rjseals, on 09/07/2008, -3/+12Some more possible stories for Huffpo:
McCain stole a balloon from a child in 1982.
McCain pushed a cat off his chair harder than he should have in 91.
McCain parked in a handicap parking space without a permit in 98.
The more of these type of stories I see the more I really think the left is really worried. - loganro, on 09/07/2008, -2/+11More Huffington Post *****. I can't believe there are actually people that believe this.
- scy1192, on 09/07/2008, -1/+10what makes you so sure I'm Republican? Because I'm not. Buried.
- amoirae, on 09/07/2008, -11/+20Yet another Republican apologist. Buried.
- bphicke, on 09/07/2008, -1/+9MediaWeasel; This assault of huffpo spam does not sway voters. It just reassures people that have already made up their minds. You could get a much better response by submitting stories on the same topics from legitimate sources. When someone sees an article from huffpo, they already know what it is going to say before they read it and usually bury and continue to the next article.
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -7/+15Too bad she wasn't rich, young and blonde. He would've tried to marry her.
- indichik, on 09/07/2008, -1/+9I think he also kicked a puppy.
- WetDaddy, on 03/02/2009, -0/+8Here's an idea...
How about we stop concerning ourselves with petty "scandalous" stories like this one and instead start reading (and reporting) stories on these presidential candidates' policies, opinions, plans & goals? It would be far more beneficial to everyone. - Pedestrian101, on 09/07/2008, -1/+8HuffSpam, burried.
- Shadwell, on 09/07/2008, -0/+7Report: McCain takes candy from a baby.
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -2/+9Sometimes they even drive you around in what looks like a really long golf cart
- jakdracula, on 09/07/2008, -11/+18yea! And then he kicked her! And then he said "I'm a Nazi" and then he drop kicked a puppy!
You're already sounding desperate, and the election is months away. Save it for the last week when it's obvious that NObama is going to lose by a landslide. - Archimboldo, on 09/07/2008, -2/+9Yes, but in this case, I think it is so silly that it paints the Huffington Post in the bad light it truly deserves. I personally hope they keep it up and other silly false speculations like Palin's granddaughter = daughter.
Really, Huff Post comes out with these outrageous things, people say, "Stupid Huff Post," and the cycle repeats. - Quenlin, on 09/07/2008, -1/+7That's nothing! Obama was on the BEACH, without a SHIRT!!
HE HAD NO ***** SHIRT!! - D3koy, on 09/07/2008, -5/+11Anyone else expecting to see The Onion? It's Huffpo, so similar just less funny...
- Cattywampus, on 09/07/2008, -0/+6I used to volunteer at a hospital E.R. in New York and pushed ladies (and men) in wheelchairs all the time. For some reason, the Huffington Post has never written an article about me.
- TheInformer, on 09/07/2008, -4/+10According to the Obama myrmidons, you're not supposed to help push women, only smear their children.
- zapperdude60, on 09/07/2008, -0/+6aren't you supposed to push wheelchairs?
