Relying on Tested Tactics: Pentagon Pushes for ‘Show Trials’ Ahead of '08
bodypolitik.org — The former lead prosecutor for terrorism trials at Guantanamo Bay has alleged that “politically motivated officials at the Pentagon have pushed for convictions of high-profile detainees ahead of the 2008 elections." Unfortunately this isn’t the first time the Bush administration has manipulated terrorism prosecutions to score political points.

Then I thought about it for a minute and realized this is the Bush administration and thought, "How many ways can they ***** this? The odds are pretty good that this won't go well for them, so have at it."
