Religious right feeling left out in race

politico.com — Former Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) pushed several items out of the 2006 agenda in the wake of the Terri Schiavo euthanasia imbroglio: prohibitions on gambling, a constitutional amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman, etc. Among the items on the 2008 agenda: lower gas prices and a family-friendly workweek.

  • uglyowl, on 05/23/2008, -0/+6Strong moral values sounds good on paper, but when in reality it has crossed the line into forcing your beliefs onto others, most Americans stepped back and realized this has been a giant mistake.

    The religious right has ruined the Republican Party and they have been sliding downhill for the past few years and they are shocked they are being abandoned? The Republicans went from a 30 seat advantage in the house in 2004 to over a 30 seat disadvantage today and things look to be getting worse.
