- sglazier, on 06/27/2008, -10/+162It's refreshing to see Dr. Paul stepping up and questioning the so called imminent war with Iran while everyone else seems to be just going along with the Bush administration's propaganda.
- ciaran036, on 06/27/2008, -15/+149What a legend. Ron Paul MUST be President.
Obama is still running around telling us that Iran has an "illicit nuclear program" and that they are a "grave threat".
***** Obama he ain't good for nobody when he's lying to push for another war to leave millions more people dead!
And for the millionth time, Ahmadinejad was misquoted when he supposedly said Israel must be wiped off the map. - Stryder81, on 06/27/2008, -8/+134Godbless him, seriously. A person like him must get so pissed off when seeing resolutions like the one they are bringing up after the July 4th weekend on Iran. To be in the congress for 30 years, abide by the Law Of the land to see others just do wtf they want must be so frustrating.
- ALITL8, on 06/27/2008, -7/+104write in Ron Paul :o)
- Brooks007, on 06/27/2008, -3/+95Finally someone is talking about inflation and the devaluation of the dollar as one of the causes of the high gas prices. Why is this not discussed more?
- badfish0116, on 06/28/2008, -3/+77Ron Paul>Obama any day of the week
- btschul, on 06/27/2008, -9/+80Hello! We had a chance to make this guy president. But then, everyone started repeating Obama's generic campaign slogans about believing in hope and change. ***** waste of an election.
- Cache22, on 06/27/2008, -6/+70Updated blog post on the Campaign for Liberty site now has this video embedded, Digg submission for this is at: http://digg.com/politics/Ron_Paul_Floor_Speech_on_ ...
- toetagger, on 06/27/2008, -5/+61We need more guys with this kind of courage. The Neo-Cons must hate him. Ron, please - avoid flying in small planes.
- ciaran036, on 06/27/2008, -3/+59Not just the Bush administration - Obama was at a pro-Israel lobby telling us that Iran is a "grave threat" that he hopes to "eliminate" because of their "illicit nuclear program".
- kolinkoolface2, on 06/27/2008, -6/+61don't blame me, i voted for him in primary. I feel like if Ron Paul got into a debate with mccain and obama, they would look like complete idiots. Nether one of these candidates has any grasp what so ever on economics nor a stable foreign policy. It's so frustrating to see everyone write Paul off as a crazy because the MSM says he is. HIS IDEALS ARE FREEDOM AND LIBERTY.
- YodaJones, on 06/28/2008, -6/+61You are watching the last man in America with any notion of common sense and decency.
- cabdirazzaq, on 06/27/2008, -6/+60From an outsider's (non-American) perspective, seriously Obama supporters. How can one even begin to compare Mr. Obama to Ron Paul? Will we ever hear Obama talk in such a brave matter concerning such vital issues.
- inactive, on 06/28/2008, -3/+57Yeah, and no matter how much you praise Obama he still isn't going to fix it.
- wishninja, on 06/27/2008, -4/+58We need to stop H. CON. RES. 362 "Virtual" War Declaration on Iran. Please call your rep and tell him/er to oppose the resolution.
- kanvas, on 06/28/2008, -4/+50How did folks like Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich sneak into Congress, anyhow? I thought there was a House rule that forbade integrity on the floor?
- btschul, on 06/27/2008, -3/+44Holy *****. "***** Obama" and you didn't get dugg down? I better look outside and make sure the ***** sky isn't falling.
- nkleffman, on 06/28/2008, -1/+41Ron Paul made the right move with ending his presidential run and moving that 5 million into the Campaign for Liberty. The problems we have in this country go way beyond any one presidential term. Now we have an infrastructure built that will help get Ron Paul Republicans voted into office at every level - a true Revolution.
For instance B.J. Lawson is having a money bomb June 30th - he's RP endorsed and has a background in medicine, engineering and entrepreneurship - not a career politician but one of We the People.
http://www.lawsonforcongress.com/ - inactive, on 06/28/2008, -3/+42Why can't Obama say these things? How could it possibly hurt his electability? These are the things that the American public wants to hear. Obama's initial appeal was because he was against the Iraq War and was a strong opponent of Bush. He talked about "change". Well this speech by Ron Paul is exactly the kind of "change" that his supporters are expecting from him.
I hear so many people suggesting that Obama has some covert plan to do just what Ron Paul is saying once he is elected. Boy are they going to be disappointed. Obama says he does not represent the "special interests". Well what about the biggest "special interest" of them all - AIPAC. The ones that got us locked into that "special relationship" with Israel that drove us into War with Iraq and is now driving us into War with Iran. Aside from all the legal and moral reasons that these wars are bad, we just can't afford it. These wars are destroying our economy. Already the Iran War is destroying the economy without having fired a shot because of the rising cost of energy. As Paul says this is largely because of oil speculation not supply and demand.
See my article "Oil Speculation and Israeli Sabre Rattling":
http://futurenewstoday.blogspot.com/2008/06/oil-sp ... - stutimandal, on 06/28/2008, -3/+42Dr. Ron Paul is amazing. I just love the arguments he has. Sinless and selfless, purely out of love for America.
- Leadman584, on 06/28/2008, -2/+38"Don't Blame Me I Voted For RON PAUL"
Anywho, I found the following video extremely sickening.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onNzrNEFs1E
The MSM wants a war with Iran, as bad they wanted to discredit the good Dr. - SuperMoses, on 06/28/2008, -4/+40Pay attention Republicrats
- Thrilltone, on 06/28/2008, -4/+40The fact that we rejected Ron Paul but chose George Bush, twice, clearly shows how low America has sunk.
- moobies, on 06/28/2008, -3/+38Dugg for Ron Paul's balls. They might be old and wrinkly, but they still outsize a 2/3 majority in the House.
- btschul, on 06/27/2008, -1/+35You bet your ass i'm going to. I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing I helped McCain or Obama get into office.
- ggfobster, on 06/28/2008, -2/+35If our government invades Iran; we MUST invade Washington DC.
ZERG RUSH WASHINGTON DC FTW. - btschul, on 06/27/2008, -0/+33Because you don't need to know. Just do your job and pay your takes like the other sheeple. Don't ask questions.
- rootfiend, on 06/28/2008, -1/+33I've seen a lot of Ron Paul videos and I've never seen him so seriously concerned.
- thrive868, on 06/28/2008, -0/+26He did, they just censored it.
- diyonisia, on 06/28/2008, -3/+27This is fantastic. Especially after Obama's disappointing FISA flip-flop this past week. I don't agree with all of Dr. Paul's policies, but you gotta give him points for his logical foreign policy.
This goes on the blog (FYI: www.humanrightsresearch.blogspot.com). - Notasheeple, on 06/28/2008, -4/+28I hope all the Digg retards that have been bashing RP, really start to question what they believe and why they believe it. As for me, I will tell my children about RP and put him in the ranks with JFK, MLK and the like. People that never backed down, people that always stood for truth and freedom. People the founders would be proud of ! God bless RP!
- inactive, on 06/27/2008, -0/+23Not true. That's just the way the agitprop makes it seem.
- crowbar77, on 06/27/2008, -4/+27Why didn't he talk like this during his campaign? He sounds much more powerful and leader like.
- diggthis123, on 06/28/2008, -3/+25This guy "can't be" President?
I'm writing him in no matter what - Aero347, on 06/28/2008, -1/+22I'm not a ron paul fanatic, but i'd say he's known for standing up for what's right when most politicians don't have the sheer balls to go against the 'special interest' (or corporate oil) bought and owned administration.
- krnldmp, on 06/28/2008, -4/+24Obama is purified feces and his new "you need the Clintons" babble is proof of it.
- Habit4ming, on 06/28/2008, -0/+19Ufia, never accomplishing sh*t? He is known as the Taxpayer's friend! Even John McCain said..."He's the most honest man in Congress." I think people are READY for a President who consistently votes with the American people in mind, who ALWAYS votes for the Constitution, who has a 30-yr. consistent voting record. Unlike the other Presidential candidates, he doesn't have to lie, flip flop....say what's needed to get elected. His honorable voting record says it all for this highly-ethical man. Know what else? There was this story going around how he voted NO to giving Rosa Parks a Congressional Medal of Honor. (He did. It's against the Constitution) He really got slammed for that. BUT, part of the story didn't get spread. This part: He took $100 out of his pocket and asked the remainder of Congress members to do likewise, FOR OUR CONGRESS to BUY her a Congressional Medal of Honor. Not one, not one person took him up on his offer. As long as Congress can spend OUR TAX MONEY, fine, but if they have to pay out of their own pocket, forget it! And they make way more money than most of us! So I ask you, who should have gotten slammed over the Rosa Parks Congressional Medal of Honor? Ron Paul or the remainder of Congress? I say the remainder!!!! The man is an expert on economics, and could fix this messed up money situation we are facing. He also has an non-interventionist foreign policy--like our Forefathers directed...travel, talk, trade with other countries--but no entangling alliances! He also wants the war to stop, plus our boys to come home from all these oversea countries...the money we are spending on nation-building overseas could be better used here...helping Americans, fixing our bridges, etc. Oh, forget it...you don't really want to hear the truth...you motives are obvious....
- Robjayne, on 06/27/2008, -5/+25No question Dr. Paul is head & shoulders above all other candidates. I will have to vote for Barr since he dropped out. In Illinois a write in would not be counted. Unless he says he supports the Constitution Party candidate.
- stienster, on 06/27/2008, -0/+19Mistranslated is really what it is. Propaganda doesn't stop with the MSM. If they allow us to see people talking in the middle east in their own languages, that doesn't mean we get to hear what they're actually saying.
- inactive, on 06/28/2008, -3/+22There was another digg post of the same video that got buried:
"Ron Paul Floor Speech on Iran & Foreign Policy - Today"
http://digg.com/politics/Ron_Paul_Floor_Speech_on_ ...
The above post actually had more diggs than this one which became popular on digg. I guess the rule is if you want to get popular on digg then don't use Ron Paul in the title or description or you will be buried. I wonder if it is bots doing the burying. There is nothing to keep that from happening because there is no capcha required to bury a story. I think digg needs to incorporate a capcha into the bury because the bury brigades are out of control! - hoffey, on 06/28/2008, -0/+19He simply doesn't care about civil liberties... His only problem with the Real ID Act (papers, please?) is that it does not have as much funding as he would like. Yet a large amount of people think he would make a good president. Why is that? How come Obama doesn't talk about the Fed. Reserve or the illegal income tax? He is a joke, plain and simple.
Vote for Dr. Paul or someone that shares his constitutional views if you have a brain. Vote for the Hope-Change guy if you believe the nonsense. - dubious, on 06/27/2008, -0/+18lol, I know; but I somehow ended up commenting on the wrong story.. and obviously couldn’t think of anything clever to write
- foontala, on 06/28/2008, -3/+22Ron Paul would make a great president. He's the crux of truth in this media-driven political "party" of an election.
- etherreal, on 06/28/2008, -0/+16That 2.5% figure does not include energy or food. We are talking about 50% of most people's expenditures not counting towards the almighty inflation figure. In the last year alone, my food bill has gone up over 10%. IN ONE YEAR. Meanwhile the price of gas is has DOUBLED in the last four years. Now tell me, does that 2.5% number seem right to you?
- thrive868, on 06/28/2008, -1/+17Ron Paul has a dignified voting record. Obama is lying through his teeth.
- etherreal, on 06/28/2008, -0/+15Dont forget Obama's support for FISA.
- withliberty, on 06/28/2008, -0/+15Certainly one of the last Congressmen in America with any notion of common sense and decency. So of course the mainstream media and his own party ignored him.
