They don't look at the nation as the common citizens do. Many have become quite wealthy during their time in office through various deals and manipulations. They vote themselves pay raises, and exempt themselves from regulations that affect every one else. To say that there is corruption is putting it mildly. Over the last few decades look at how our freedoms have been taken from us without a whimper from Congress. Look at the weak stance by many on protection of our freedoms from activist judges in the courts and on the Supreme Court. There are a few decent men and women in leadership, but not many. Perhaps it is time to start afresh. But be aware that it will take a while for the new people to undo the garbage from the last bunch. And be aware that many if not most of the incumbents will not go quietly. Also, some will willfully sabotage such a move by the voters. These people are not trustworthy and they know the current sustem.

Amazing how we always hear about how out of touch Conservatives are with the country but when nearly 60% of Americans say throw the bums out, lefties say let's keep them so they can control our entire lives and treat us like servants. The Obama base is the 30% of Americans who pay no taxes yet he says he is going to give a tax break to 95% of Americans. So he figures that most Americans are products of the public school system. That means that 95% minus the 30% equals 5% of the Americans who are going to be paying all the taxes. This means, loss of jobs, higher food prices, higher fuel prices, food shortages, government controlled health care, seniors left to die because they won't be allowed the care they need. After all, this is the party of all caring, all knowing, higher moral authority. Yep, communism is on it's way to a neighborhood near you. Won't it be fun?

Vote out ANY rep. or senator who is asking for re-election to third term or higher - I think that some of them need at least one full term to get the hang of the job and another to actually earn their pay. Well that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. I expect that of those 30 percent of Americans who don't pay any income tax, 99 percent are democrats. A manure cake, iced with wonderful icing, is beautiful but one bite and it's still manure. Same with the sugarcoating that all of the legislators seem to ladel out that enables them to stay in office - voting time brings out the icing - being re-elected brings out the manure. Too late, too long - term limits will help, but not cure, all of this. Term limits means they don't languish in office for a lifetime (kennedy, etc.) never holding a real job - never knowing what it takes to EARN a living - never knowing what it is to take ORDERS from a boss and never knowing the results of not performing as the BOSS wants. NEVER knowing what the average citizens goes through on a daily basis.
Get rid of them - our problems were lurking but not without efforts by conservatives to stop the problem - our recent world embarrassment and total unnecessary joke in Washington - was the result of the government being controlled by the liberals for the last few years AND their buddies in the financial markets. They've ALL proved they are the ones who seem to think the job they hold provides them with millions of dollars of UNEARNED money - in my book, that's stealing.

Our wisdom filled & God fearing founding fathers formed a Constitutional Republic government knowing that monarchies and even democracy can be abused and threaten liberty. Since that time, our Constitutional currency which is to be Gold & Silver coin and managed by the Congress, has been given away to a private bank with shareholders who now give us I.O.U's printed with colored ink on wood pulp. The conspirator congressmen crept in under cover to Jekyll Island, Georgia in 1913 and passed that "Law" without the consent of the people. In 1933 the lawful gold ((Money)) was confiscated from the people with horrendous penalties promised to those who did not put their hands up and turn it over. 1964 saw the second half of the robbery when the silver coinage was discontinued. Now we have wood pulp and pot metal for currency and the central banks hold most of the gold. These same types have now seized our form of Government which they call "The World's greatest Democracy" and just do as they please when they please. Democracy at least gives the 51% rule over the 49% but when Nancy Pelosi receives 91,000 emails concerning the bailout, and 85,000 are against it...let me do some math here...91,000 minus 85,000 = 6,000....new definition of democracy is 85,000 against & 6,000 for = Bailout law. It has been turned inside out and upside down. If you want something in Amerika, vote against it with the majority and if you are on the side of the Billionaire Bankers and Gamblers with their lobbyists, you Win!!! If you are on the side of the hard working taxpayers you lose. Vote the Bums out. Surveys show a 96% re-election of these creeps because people are to lazy to either study their voting records or just vote familiar party lines because they don't have to think at all, just fill in a little circle with ink beside their name. Vote them out this time or go get fitted for you new set of handcuffs. It may already be to late. God in Heaven please help us.

The Constitution of the United States establishes four responsibilities for the President; 1. coin money, 2. sign treaties, 3. national defense, and 4. run a post office.
If it wasn't for all of our courageous heroes who put their lives on the line for us I would say we are not doing very good on any of the four.

- inactive, on 10/06/2008, -1/+5The reason we get stuck with career politicians is the 17th Amendment. 1913 was a treasonous, disastrous year for our republic with the announcement the Sixteenth Amendment was ratified (it clearly was NOT), the announcement that the Seventeenth Amendment was ratified (it clearly was NOT) and passage of the unconstitutional Federal Reserve Act. All in the same year. All necessary for The Destroyers to finally take control of our republic. After the fraudulent Seventeenth Amendment went into effect, U.S. senators were then elected instead of the state legislatures appointing them. The states lost their suffrage rights, they no longer had any representation in Washington, D.C., and the federal machine has walked all over them since. As we can see right now, states like Arizona and California are saddled with 'counterfeit' senators whose political ideology is communism, while they pass themselves off as either Republican or Democrat: McCain in Arizona and the twin evils in California, Boxer and Feinstein.
This issue is one of the most important problems facing this nation today, yet few know anything about it. These public servants in the state house will soon realize that it's to their utmost advantage to press this issue and for the sake of our Republic, this challenge must be made to restore the balance between the states and the people. America is not a democracy of mob rule, but that's exactly what has happened with the election of U.S. senators. For those who might knee jerk this would cause constitutional chaos, I can't highly recommend enough Judge Andrew Napolitano's excellent book, "Constitutional Chaos." We're already in constitutional chaos on a hundred issues and the situation will only continue to deteriorate without immediate action.

The courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, have been very specific on the rigid requirements for ratification. There can be no mistake fraud was committed and that every U.S. senator since 1913 sits in office under a law that does not exist. U.S. senators ratify treaties, confirm federal judges, U.S. Supreme Court justices and hold impeachment trials. Legally, our participation in the United Nations, every destructive trade treaty, i.e., NAFTA, GATT, Roe v. Wade and any other legislative acts committed by U.S. senators these past 93 years are invalid.
The courts refuse to touch this issue because they don't have the backbone. While several states have introduced resolutions to nix the Seventeenth Amendment (introduced by patriotic representatives and killed by Republicans in every instance), realistically, there's no question this current crop of Congress will never do the right thing. Therefore, it is up to the people and the States of the Union. One thing that doesn't help the situation is so-called constitutionalists running for the U.S. Senate who refuse to pursue the path of integrity. Over the past decade I have been contacted by many candidates running for the U.S. Senate on 'alternative party' tickets asking for my endorsement and support. When I tell them about the Seventeenth Amendment and the fact that they are running for office under a law that doesn't exist, they don't care and give me all kinds of excuses, i.e., "After I'm elected, I'll bring this out." No. You don't rob a bank and say, "Gee, after I'm done using the money for a good reason, I'll put it back." Are we a nation of laws or lies?
The people must get the proof and begin a systematic assault (non violent, of course) on their state legislatures to appoint two U.S. senators to represent them and send them to Washington, D.C. This will force the issue into a court of law where it should have gone decades ago. Is there any chance this can be accomplished? Not unless hundreds of thousands of Americans climb in the face of their state legislators and those elected public servants do what's right by making this a hot issue in their state house. You have to build a bond fire, just like The Minutemen have done on the illegals invasion and the Seventeenth Amendment IS critically important. - IndyJim, on 10/06/2008, -0/+4We must demand TERM LIMITS....for some reason it is always much easier to kick someone else's congressman out of office than their own. I am going to vote for the constitution party. They will support the one document that can turn this country around in the right direction. After hearing about Obama's economic plan on the radio this morning I can see he is planning on the same failed great depression policies we already lived through once before. We need to get rid of the federal reserve and their polices once and for all. Not elect a president that is going to do worse than ever. We get rid of personal income tax at the same time and give this economy a shot in the arm. The IRS is breaking our constitutional rights anyway and they won't answer any petitions to the government! It's a scam just like this mortgage crisis and depression we are headed into. It's all a scam, planned and executed for the North American Union and one world government.
