- reeder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3How did Bush shoot up 10 percentage points? He's been below 40% for a while, so I call shenanigans.
- atdigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Nothing to do with New Orleans it was a joke related to water-boarding, yeah, I know I shouldn't joke about such things....
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3What kills me is that the dems are gettin' totally out gamed. When rightwing radio takes a blurb as insignificant as the botched kerry joke and turns into a gain for the neocons, I can only shake my head. Bush's poor approval ratings should make this a slam, dunk for the dems. What the hell is going on with the leftwing shot callers?
- elebrio, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I don't think there is a true way of knowing if an opinion poll is accurate.
- elebrio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yes i did read the article... I copied that blurb by copy and paste... but if you read the blurb... it was updated for today after i posted it. Notice "on the day before the election" and if you look on the left hand side it shows 45% on the day before the election... yesterday.
- streak, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I doubt the poll was that heavily biased toward New Orleans residents. No, just plain scared by the Republican terror tactics and un-American insinuations for anyone who opposes them.
- atdigg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3When Republican candidates hide and don't want to appear next to Bush is pretty clear what the truth is.
- streak, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Well, if you've read the article, you know the poster is inaccurate.
- atdigg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Maybe they are afraid of water.
- streak, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Uh, the article says 43% approve, not 45%; and 54% disapprove, not 52%. Did the poster read the article??
In other news, 42 of the 43% were scared ***** to say how they really feel about their government. - zkwang, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Ok ... so first question ... is this accurate?
There are enough stories on the front page talking about the various unethical tactics republicans are using to win this midterm election (on a side note, they might just because a significant portion of the American population just does not care.) ... so even though this study is conducted by a third party, the timing of the report just seems ... to ... coincidental.
