  • truthfightsback, on 09/23/2008, -0/+3The opportunity of our time is that we are able to peacefully resist through so many means... to stand up actively and speak out for our insistence in a country and world founded on prosperity and peace for all is the greatest form of protest, and all of our efforts, whatever efforts we can make, for love of our families and country and world, are worth it and worthy. Thank you for all you do. Nothing is ever lost if done out of compassion instead of fear.
  • Batfishy, on 09/23/2008, -0/+3Having the ability to meet our obligations and secure our loved ones' future (because living in poverty is a real possibility for some) is a kind of barrier to dying for all those reasons above. Sure it would be great to do all that 'standing up' you mention. I'm afraid the Internet is as far as I can go with a job and responsibilities and everything except that I do try to go to marches and things. I also write to my congressmen.
