- Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -11/+110the present Republican party hijacked by neocons is like a spoiled little kid who throws a temper tantrum. Whaaaa! its my ball and you can't play!
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -7/+105"We are going to St. Paul whether they invite us or not" Rand Paul
- kemp34, on 05/23/2008, -8/+87Rand Paul has been an admirable presence during this campaign. He is an honest, principled leader.
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -13/+91Ouu this is even better than I thought!
Digg it. - clonestar, on 05/23/2008, -8/+85Persist, persist, persist.
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -8/+76There is a change coming. It is coming because it must come and it is coming because people believe in the best America and Americans have to offer is yet to come.
There have been times in my life where I alsmost felt alone with my views of the present. Now I know millions of people think we can have a better country with more freedom and liberty and the blessings of peace. - schif, on 05/23/2008, -6/+72I had never heard Rand speak before. He is a good speaker, I guess he takes after his father like that.
- oruval, on 05/23/2008, -7/+56I was there... It was better in person. Rand is just like his dad. Awesomely Awesome
- blakmira, on 05/23/2008, -18/+582016? Don't you mean 2012? We're stuck with McClinObomba for 8 years? At that point it would be too late, it's a little hard to vote on Diebold machines from the FEMA camps...
- RobTyree, on 05/23/2008, -4/+37As one of the "orchestrators" of what happened at the Nevada Republican State Convention, I can tell you 100% that we didn't STEAL anything. We came in prepared, worked according to the rules, and changed the process to make it fair, open, and democratic. If what we propsed wasn't the better way to do it, why did 2/3 of the delegates agree that our proposal was the better way to go?
Having the state party officials appoint a slate of delegates to be rubber stamped by the convention delegates is cronyism in it's purest form and the delegates at the convention knew it. - sandsafari, on 05/23/2008, -8/+36Actually jcm267, I was a delegate there and it took 2/3 vote to change the situation where the nomination of delegates came from the people who were elected to be delegates to the State Convention...instead of just accepting a slate of nominatees as put together by some unknown/secret Election Committee prior to the convention. Since only about 1/2 of the delegates appeared to support Ron Paul, there were many others who voted for the change. Hence, the original plan for the GOP HQ did not pass muster with more than just Ron Paul people...just who do you think was stealing the delegates? Remember, too, Ron Paul got more votes in the State Caucus than McCain...and frankly, McCain is not very popular in Nevada. He also got more votes than Hillary or Obama in this state. I believe that the GOP state organizations are wrong to take their orders from the DC machine...or are you happy being a good little serf and being told how to vote? The sooner the RNC in DC wakes up to the fact that McCain is not a popular choice everywhere, the sooner we can put true conservative principles back in the party platform the way it should be.
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -14/+39Trolls moving in just proves its a great speech. They don't like anything positive or good.
- Todash19, on 05/23/2008, -4/+27+100
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -3/+25Don't just digg.
Watch this motivating vid. - lazerus9, on 05/23/2008, -19/+39Clips from the movie "The Fountainhead" based on the novel by Ayn Rand was on the same page as Rands speech. It reminded me of how great and poignant Ayn Rands novel was and is! Here is a movie clip link:http://youtube.com/watch?v=2AHFcbjSMIU&feature=rel ...
- kemp34, on 05/23/2008, -3/+23I share your sentiments exactly.
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -2/+19Thanks lazerus9, that was good too.
- kemp34, on 05/23/2008, -4/+21Please show the rule where Romney delegates must go to McCain. Otherwise, please stop spouting *****.
- JakeG707, on 05/23/2008, -5/+21Im glad I collected and saved alot of signs. Turn the "O" into and "A" and add a "D" at the end. Pretty conservative ey!!!
- jimmies, on 05/24/2008, -1/+15Listening to him only confirms to me that the republican party has been hijacked by a bunch of *****.
- V3n0M, on 05/23/2008, -6/+202012 would be nice! I just figured that's a bit too optimistic... I was leaving time for some Senate, Congress, or Governor experience first. :)
- Herv3, on 05/23/2008, -4/+17I seriously thought that Rand Paul was a spoof when I first saw it.
- iKomplex, on 05/23/2008, -0/+12Definitely. If Ron Paul will not run in the next election, then I hope that Rand will succeed him.
- card51short, on 05/23/2008, -4/+16See, I really like Ron Paul.
I really dislike John McCain.
You would have to pay me to spend every single day arguing with John McCain supporters. Onetimer argues with us for free...in fact, it's 95% of his Digg time (which is A LOT of time!)
Onetimer you love to instigate and cause fights for your entertainment.
As if you don't get enough entertainment in your Disneyland life as it is.
Your dedication and passion, however, are to be admired. - inactive, on 05/23/2008, -4/+16As Ron Paul keeps building on success and more people read his book and listen to his common sense proposals the lamers and haters and political cowards are reduced to name calling and personal attacks.
Their silly claim that Ron Paul is a racist already has been shown to be without factual basis.
http://digg.com/politics/Ron_Paul_is_Not_A_Bigot_R ...
So now they resort to pretending that their assertions have merit.
They don't.
Ron Paul has done more for the health care of the poor than all three of the Senators put together and Ron Paul has more integrity than all three Senators put together and Ron Paul is still the best candidate for president. Rand Paul is a bright young man who was raised by good parents and is a good man in his own right. Oh, and he is more educated than the Senators as well.
When you see the lamers and haters and political cowards spout their lies and call Ron a racist please don't hesitate to link them to this
http://digg.com/politics/Ron_Paul_is_Not_A_Bigot_R ...
Once they read the article that post links to they no longer have any basis to claim Ron Paul is a racist, none at all. - inactive, on 05/23/2008, -24/+36You said it brother. Myself? I'm working on a cabin-fortress in Montana so that when the NWO foot-soldiers come to round us up, i'll be barricaded and ready. I've already had to sell my house and most of my possessions, along with my wife divorcing me (I always suspected she might be a government shill sent to monitor me anyways), but it will be worth it one day. I've already stocked up on ten years of frozen food and distilled water, along with a barrage of automatic weapons, explosives, RPG's, and a few Anti-Aircraft missiles.
Admittedly it's kind of hard to navigate past the land-mines i've already planted all around, but it's not nearly as bad as when I burned off my fingerprints. I've already liquidated my remaining assets into as much gold bullion as I could, so all that's left to do is fake my death. Anything I had left, I invested in salt, which I can only assume will be the currency of choice is the post-apocalyptic wasteland that the US will become.
I actually sold a bunch of my gold bullion coin collection (the only REAL currency) just so I could max out my donations To Congressman Dr. Ronald Earnest Messiah Paul. In fact, I even donated in the name of patriots like Thomas Jefferson, Barry Goldwater, and Jefferson Davis (don't listen to those public schools who try an smear the south against the northern agressioners), as I don't recognize the authority of the IRS or the FEC. I even bought enough copies of "the manifesto" to mail to each and every member of congress! - Xihix, on 05/23/2008, -4/+16Steal delegates? We're playing the party's rules. They're the ones breaking them.
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -3/+14Right on cashman.
A New Hope for true change. - tolbs, on 05/23/2008, -5/+15Steal?
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results ...
Ron Paul has more state delegates then John McCain. With Romney out, there isn't any reason why Ron Paul can't pick up more delegates.
The Neocons are dead afraid of having Ron Paul ANYWHERE near St. Paul come convention time. - JettaMan, on 05/24/2008, -2/+12Nah, Ron is in tremendous shape. Mentally he's sharper than a 30 year old. He bikes to some rallies. Both his parents lived to be 95.
- morgino, on 05/23/2008, -8/+18I saw RP in San Diego today, I had my camera all ready to get a pic when he comes by. My buddy, who was going to take the pic, suddenly bailed when I was shaking his hand and no pic! Turns out his chick said there was an "emergency." That emergency turned out to be the hot water heater didnt work. God chicks can ruin it sometimes
- ironhide, on 05/23/2008, -6/+16Keep it up onetimer, you're making me bust a gut here :)
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -3/+13I am happy that you keep posting. It is all the proof I need to know that there are some people who stumble across the truth and brush themselves off and pretend it never happened. You have been proven wrong so many times by so many people it is funny.
Some time back I read a response you had to one of my posts where you seemed to be astonished I didn't fit into your little box. You have been trashing me for so long you haven't bothered to notice my intellect. You have made so many stupid and wrong assertions about me that in your mind I was nothing until your eyes were opened and you realized I have a far better grasp on reality than what you pretended.
Perhaps some day you will wake up and realize that insulting people like me is not the best way to have a conversation. I buried your comment as I have with every comment I see of yours, not because your comment was wrong but because you have been so mean spirited and angry at me for so long I can't support anything you write.
When I first started posting on digg I would try to see your side of it and ask you questions but now I just see your nickname and automatically hit the red thumb. - fluoro, on 05/23/2008, -3/+13Because our political system is rigged to be a two-party system. To try to change one of the parties to be more sane is simply more achievable than trying to make a third party viable.
And in response to onetimer's comment, I think your analogy is really poor. The Republican party sells itself as being something it's not. Anyone who is against slavery is not trying to misrepresent their policies. They say they're against slavery, and their actions appear to confirm that. - kemp34, on 05/23/2008, -8/+17Fountainhead is a GREAT book. Any Ron Paul fan who hasn't read it, should check it out ASAP.
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -2/+11Paul explains "why people with libertarian views are attempting to rally behind it."
But you haven't listened. Short answer: the Liberty Caucus.
Longer answer: Ronulans will inherit the GOP from the dying neocon failures and run it much better. - inactive, on 05/23/2008, -1/+10Keep on kicking ass Brother! It's funny that the Trolls need to call us thieves to make us guilty of some offense, so they can justify dismissing us. This flak is very welcome, it means we're over the target.
- funkyloki, on 05/23/2008, -3/+12First of all it was a caucus, not a primary, and because of such, the delegates are free to make up their own minds on how to vote come the convention.
Second, there's nothing that says that the Romney delegates have to go for McCain just because Romney now supports McCain. Ron Paul got more support in Nevada than McCain, it only makes sense that Ron Paul would get more delegates, considering he is still running, and Romney is not. - V3n0M, on 05/24/2008, -1/+9No typo, I meant Rand, not Ron. Rand is Ron's son who is speaking in the video. You should watch it.
- catfish182, on 05/24/2008, -2/+10Timer,
quit confusing the paulites.
HA
they are digging you up. They think you are serious - cbell1956, on 05/23/2008, -0/+8Notice he used no notes, he only carried the documentation regarding the book sales.
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -2/+9Well then make sure you have your little notepad ready.
- danomagnum, on 05/23/2008, -0/+7Shopped
- JettaMan, on 05/24/2008, -0/+7Rejected by Republican neo-Con insiders, Just you wait. The neo-Cons are about to get punted out of the Republican party.
- mattgilberg, on 05/23/2008, -3/+10To reiterate that, the revolution of us "Ron Paulites" is justified and essential. Nothing like Clinton staying in the race "whether she has enough delegates or not"
- danomagnum, on 05/23/2008, -2/+9Spread a message of liberty.
- wishninja, on 05/23/2008, -2/+9for christ's sake you have been on digg forever. I was going to say n00b but nope your just indescribably dense. How could you even be on digg and not know what the revolution hopes to achieve?
- card51short, on 05/23/2008, -5/+12"Eventually, you go to college and take a few courses in Economics, and realize her ideas are ***** insane."
Yes, obviously the way we are going is the right way, though ;)
and, politics aside, The Fountainhead is a great book . Howard Roarke is one of the best characters in literature to me. - inobla, on 05/24/2008, -2/+8*****' onetimer... You never disappoint! :D Not just what you said, but then you get dugg up by the paul crusaders...! That's the BEST laugh I've had all day. You rock.
