Give me a break. - theutopian, on 10/16/2008, -0/+29“I didn’t see it the way that it’s being taken. I never connected. It was just food to me.”
Are you kidding me?
This is bloody despicable. - satyr9us, on 10/16/2008, -1/+26This is ASTOUNDING.
I was certain this was some kind of bad joke hoax when I opened it.
I can't get my head around the possibility that people in positions of power in one of America's major parties would mail something this disgusting and hurtful out-- with the apparent hope that it would help their cause.
There is still so much willful delusion and malice in American politics. - housewarmer, on 10/16/2008, -0/+21Just wow. And to think Republicans have the balls to act all indignant when called out for their latent racism.
- rhythm7a, on 10/16/2008, -0/+19Obama winning the presidency would be so satisfying for so many reasons.
- ThumperNM, on 10/16/2008, -1/+17Republican's including my brother (who I love) are innately racist. How depressingly sad that any organization or any individual could endorse this kind of debasing trash.
- mykalimba, on 10/16/2008, -0/+13Wow. Just. Wow. Shame on these people. I hope that this story and you get all of the attention you deserve.

Shame on Diane Fedele & the GOP. - seks03, on 10/16/2008, -0/+10I live a few cities over from Upland, Ca... big McCain city, fully of a lot of repubs, i couldn't believe some of the things i heard when i was canvasing for Ron Paul.
Also this ladies daughter says that her mom (president of the group that sent this) is isn't racist because she was married to her father that is Mexican... As a Hispanic, I know that there are a lot of Mexicans that are ignorant and hate Blacks, period... this is *****, this lady got caught and now shes trying to make ***** up to not sound racist - Sogladtobehere, on 10/17/2008, -0/+9It's a tried and true GOP tactic. Pretend you are as ignorant and stupid as the rednecks that vote for you.
- Razster, on 10/16/2008, -1/+10She knows damn well what she did... Why else would she select the items she selected to be placed on that graphic.
These Republicans need to be wiped out and extinct! - Sogladtobehere, on 10/17/2008, -0/+8I emailed her this:
Ms. Fedele,
Shame on you. I cannot believe the level of racist hate coming from the different GOP offices in the few weeks we have to change America's mind. Depicting an African American Senator on a food stamp? What the hell is wrong with you?
I've been a Republican voter all my life, and this will be the first year that I vote for a Democrat. I simply cannot bring myself to associate with a campaign that is so openly racist and so openly hate-mongering. If John McCain was half the leader I thought he was then he would disavow all of your hateful antics that subtract from the integrity of American politics.
Once again, you should know that it is your tactics that I refuse to be associated with. You are a catalyst of your own party's demise. Stew on that for the next four years while Barack Obama does his best to rise above your pettiness and hate. He has done an admirable job of not playing the "racism" card and lowering himself to these base attacks.
Shame. Shame. Shame. You make me want to vomit. - vortemenene, on 10/17/2008, -0/+8***** pigs...
This is so far beyond ridiculous that it's mindnumbing.
You stay classy GOP
< /yourselves> - alleged, on 10/17/2008, -0/+7Gather a slim majority. Find wedge issues and build walls to keep everyone else out. Shriek about how everyone else is "different." That is the Republican playbook, and for once it's blowing up in their faces.
- hierophantus, on 10/17/2008, -0/+7Sigh. The sarcasm is obvious, people.
- JoePlumber, on 10/17/2008, -0/+7This is the calendar for their parent organization (they apparently a branch of it)
http://www.sbgop.com/calendar.htm
Check out the special guest speaker.. - inactive, on 10/17/2008, -0/+6"Sheila Raines of San Bernardino, a black member of the club, complained about the image to Fedele.
"This is what keeps African-Americans from joining the Republican Party," she said. "I'm really hurt. I cried for 45 minutes." - quidpro, on 10/17/2008, -4/+10There go the Dems, playing the race card yet again.
Signed, Some Moron on Digg - johnleemk, on 10/17/2008, -0/+6And the GOP claims it has the right to criticize John Lewis for saying "George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who only desired to exercise their constitutional right." My ***** ass.
Eat *****, GOP. It's this kind of nonsense that makes real conservatives - heck, real human beings - want Obama, imperfect as he is, to kick your sorry asses this election. - wishninja, on 10/17/2008, -0/+6Please digg this one also.
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/GOP_website_want ... - avataros, on 10/17/2008, -2/+8I was also expecting Escalades, Ludacris, and white women in bikinis on the bill, but that just might be crossing the line for Ms. Fedele. I'm sure she has standards. Bitch.
- TheDHC, on 10/17/2008, -1/+6pretty ***** photoshop job.
- chuckDontSurf, on 10/17/2008, -0/+5I find it hilarious how stupid some people are. Sad yes, but also hilarious. I mean, how much more ***** racist could you have made it??
- JoePlumber, on 10/17/2008, -0/+5The true colors of these ***** are starting to come out and we have 3 more weeks to go!
- RoroCo, on 10/16/2008, -0/+4They are one picture of grape soda away from this being able to be considered a hate crime. Disgusting...
- gelato822, on 10/17/2008, -0/+3this email is also listed for her: diane1354@mindspring.com

Seems someone is getting a lot of responses... - blarch, on 10/17/2008, -0/+3grape DRINK!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ4B7G8Rw3Q - gelato822, on 10/17/2008, -0/+3Yes, but this race card is a black king with watermelons instead of spades and it was dealt by the republicans
- apothekari, on 10/16/2008, -2/+5Where's my useless old white ***** Viagra redemption coupon and box of Depends.
- dshPls, on 10/17/2008, -0/+2Yep you've proved with that totally unbiased Crooks and Liars article that Micheal Steele is indeed racist because he's a republican, a classification of beliefs that automatically make you hate black people.
- AmericanElitist, on 10/17/2008, -0/+2maybe the flier was his idea
- TheDHC, on 10/17/2008, -2/+4Thank god that failphrase is being buried
- inactive, on 10/17/2008, -1/+3Just a few of the foods more commonly associated with black people in the stereotypes by TOTAL COINCIDENCE, guys.
- bjornski, on 10/17/2008, -0/+1Going to the richest 5% of the nation.
- inactive, on 10/17/2008, -1/+2Watermelon kick's ass.
- Sinns, on 10/17/2008, -0/+1Michael Steele is a tool.
http://crooksandliars.com/2008/09/01/i-ran-into-mi ... - AmericanElitist, on 10/17/2008, -0/+1that is so religious. support someone because they are the same religion as you even though they discriminate against your race instead of supporting the party that actually works to your benefit. its morons like that that the gop has been preying on for decades. 'we're more religious so vote for us poor and middle class whites while we pick your pockets and give your cash to the rich and corporate'. thank god enough people are finally starting to see the light.
- dshPls, on 10/17/2008, -2/+3What a horrible comment. You might not be a racist but you're an idiot. Google Micheal Steele, a black republican from my state who suffered racist attacks from Liberals.
- wishninja, on 10/17/2008, -4/+4You're a douche bag.
- spaceman84, on 10/17/2008, -2/+1Yeah. I can't wait for free KFC and Kool-Aid either.
- inactive, on 10/17/2008, -2/+0Gotta love the race card! It works on liberals every time!
- inactive, on 10/17/2008, -2/+0And democrats try to scare blacks, oh no republicans will take away your foodstamps and welfare and lock away your baby daddies longer.
They never let blacks stop and think that maybe they would be better off not being codependent with the democrats. - jamesmagenta, on 08/14/2009, -2/+0Why any minority would be Republican? Because, for some, it really isn't about race. It's about issues, principles, and religion. Those are values that people of any race would consider important, so much so that they'd vote for someone that would uphold their principles, even to the detriment of themselves. It's circular logic for a secular country.
- inactive, on 10/17/2008, -2/+0. (Why any minority would be Republican is beyond me)
That's right, liberals want all their minorities to be good little groupthinkers that vote for democrats even as liberal good intentions destroyed the black family unit and kept them in the ghetto - TheMachine1, on 10/17/2008, -6/+1McCain does not have a chance in hell in winning California so I would not get too upset by this racist *****.
- inactive, on 10/17/2008, -6/+0How is it racist? Go to any black community and you'll see chicken bones and buckets of KFC littered all over the place. In the summer they sell watermelon right off the backs of trucks by housing projects here in NYC.
What's wrong with liking fried chicken and watermelon? THe only thing is Obama isn't part of African American culture being his dad's from Africa so Obama might isn't part of that stereotype. Though his dad was very African American by wanting a white woman and then abandoning his family .
BTW I've made the decision to vote for and support Obama since he is our best hope at bringing down the zionist lobby and cutting off our blind support for Israel aka Occupied Palestine. - shutaro, on 10/16/2008, -15/+3OM NOM NOM!
