It appears the Republican Party will go the way of the Whig.
Under George Bush the Republicans lost the majority in the House and Senat and they still haven't figured out what is wrong.
This could be the year a third party emerges and takes the D&R gang down a notch or two. - Minarchian, on 09/06/2008, -2/+21This is typical of today's one party system
It's the same system we used to rail about against in places like China, No Korea, Russia and Cuba.
And if you want to speak out against it, you get this:

Aren't you glad YOUR tax dollars paid for this charade and there's not a damned thing they'll let you do about it? - voicce, on 09/06/2008, -1/+20videos and the internet are some of the last tools we have to get the truth out. Join the Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty, help stop the war machine.
- Quiltingsando, on 09/06/2008, -2/+20Wow, inept and a waste of time if they don't count the votes.
- john2kdiggs, on 09/06/2008, -0/+13That's strange. It almost seems as though they announced the vote then the lady said that they didn't cast their votes yet. Or something like that.
- Minarchian, on 09/06/2008, -2/+14A third party would actually become the second Party. Since the Dems and Repubs have effectively blended together and become virtually indistinguishable from each other.
- shycyberguy, on 09/06/2008, -2/+13 Let them celebrate their victory, it will be their last.
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -3/+12Lol, counting votes!
That is so last century. - inactive, on 09/06/2008, -0/+8FAIR's Media Contact List

- jeffiek, on 09/06/2008, -0/+5Don't forget that the Democrats ALSO paid for their convention with taxpayers money.
Focus on what both parties have in common. You'll find common ground for everyone to reject the current system.
Both want to rule your life. Neither believes in liberty. - inactive, on 09/07/2008, -0/+2I agree. Both the Dems and Reps use taxpayer money for their conventions. The Libertarian Party uses money donated by Libertarians for their convention. The Green party does not demand money from the federal government for their convention either.
If we want to change the way DC operates it is clear we must support third party candidates. - nymphetamine, on 09/07/2008, -2/+1They prefer to be called Paultards.
And remember, arrogance alway wins; so don't fight it. Well, at least that's what I've learned from this whole Paultard "revolution" crap. Maybe one day I'll run for president and tell people that freedom is popular and make a ***** ton of money and retire on my own island. - inactive, on 09/06/2008, -22/+4You lost, Ronbots. Deal with it.
