- sandsafari, on 07/02/2008, -5/+43The Nevada Convention, having been completed by the delegates due to the fact that the NV GOP leadership seemed unwilling to do so after illegally recessing the proceedings on April 26th, was a stroke of genius and has opened the doors for We The People to take back our rights to run the conventions. I was a delegate to the Convention on June 28th and it was a thrilling and transparent event. It is important to understand the distinction between suspending a campaign and withdrawing a candidacy. Ron Paul has only suspended, and we have a foot in the door.
- veeew, on 07/02/2008, -6/+43Let's keep telling people about him and his eligibility - with the total meltdown of America currently in process and gas and food prices going through the roof, people are finally starting to listen because they see what's coming, or rather what's already here and is unfolding very rapidly. Lord, have mercy on us.
- inactive, on 07/03/2008, -5/+38I do admire the tenacity of Paul supporters.
- FriskDown, on 07/02/2008, -3/+32I am not a delegate, but I would still like to get my hands on those DVDs...
(I know that the article said that they would post the content on YouTube when it's completed so don't reply just to tell me that.-Thanks) - Kent4jmj, on 07/02/2008, -4/+30A Ron Paul upset at the GOP convention. "Now wouldn't that be special." I really can't see the country electing Obama. And a sizable number of Republicans do not like McCain. I'm thinking Yogi Berra. "It ain't over till it's over."
- arcooke, on 07/03/2008, -6/+25It's because we admire the tenacity of Paul's ideas.
- NightVortez, on 07/03/2008, -4/+23As a long time Ron Paul supporter I have to say that it's quite obtuse to still think there is still a shot at the GOP nomination. As Dr.Paul pointed out there are other ways to fight for ideals, a demonstration is Washington being one of them, if you want to support him this would be a good way to do so but let the presidential bid rest.
- btschul, on 07/02/2008, -8/+26***** A there is still a chance to save the USA. I'll cancel my plane ticket out of the country.
- Lawofnations, on 07/02/2008, -0/+15"Pursue the enemy with the utmost audacity." - George S. Patton Jr.
- chaosium, on 07/03/2008, -4/+19What is wrong with you people?
- Godwhacker, on 07/04/2008, -1/+16Ron Paul is probably not going to be the GOP nominee - but his supporters (and I'm one of them) are going to push this as hard and as far as we possibly can. The future of our nation is at stake.
- MattNF, on 07/03/2008, -18/+30You new here? Ron Paul supporters have always been this stupid.
- flavioribeiro, on 07/03/2008, -11/+22There has to be a time when people take a stand and say NO MORE. To the Ron Paul people, this time has come.
- freedomgurl, on 07/03/2008, -4/+15I think everyone is missing a huge point here. We need to educate the National GOP Delegates. Some may have never heard Ron Paul's message. It truly worked in Alaska and several ended up switching from McCain when they thought he was the only option. One at a time people. One at a time. That to me is a freedom movement.
- GlassChimes, on 07/03/2008, -8/+18I've kept the large magnetic signs for Ron Paul on the sides and back of my minivan and the yard sign in front of my house in hopes that something miraculous might happen to allow Dr. Paul to win the nomination. I'll keep my fingers, toes and eyes crossed if that will help. If he gets the nomination - yippee! If he doesn't I plan to write him in and I plan on keeping the signs on my van and the sign in front of my house until he get a nomination and finally becomes our President - no matter how many years it takes.
- TheFinaleofSeem, on 07/02/2008, -47/+56Oh, give it a ***** rest already! It's ***** over for this year, guys. He's gone. He's not going to get the nomination. End of story. Stop with the stupid pipe dreams and try planning some more realistic goals.
- yargthepirate, on 07/03/2008, -19/+28OMG I CAN TYPE WITH CAPS LOCK DOWN

- stienster, on 07/02/2008, -4/+13Wait a minute. I thought he withdrew from the candidacy?- Originally he only suspended... no??
- Hortnon, on 07/03/2008, -5/+14Funny, last year Paulbots were telling us all about how Guilliani was picked by the "eilites" as President on 9/11, and that he would get elected this year. Then it was Romney.
So basically, stop making up ***** to sound important. Only morons believe you. - MacSuxWindozSux, on 07/03/2008, -0/+6There's no way the Republican party will choose to block McCain from running in the general election against Obama.
If he says a whole bunch of racist things next week making him unelectable, yeah Ron Paul will probably go against Obama, but the GOP, Democrats, and Media will ahead of time call the election for Obama.
I like Ron Paul, but he doesn't have the support from key members in the GOP, and most of the public doesn't know who he is. The media has to 24/7 talk about him (instead of pretending he doesn't exist) for these people to notice.
Just trying to be realistic. - MacSuxWindozSux, on 07/03/2008, -1/+7Not to the rest of the world.
- sgiffy, on 07/03/2008, -2/+8@ Hortnon, they also said the same thing about Clinton. No matter who wins, in their minds, these mysterious elites picked them.
- tumples, on 07/02/2008, -26/+31You're going to get dugg down to high hell, but I dugg you up and I think I'll join you :)
You really need to let this die guys, one guy up there even says he can't see the country electing Obama. Can't he even read polls?
I know you love your candidate, but come on now. - SchmuckofNI, on 07/04/2008, -3/+8The election isn't over yet, there is a small chance that he may grab the nomination. Never give up! Lets stop this lesser of two evil election and try to get Mr. Paul a fighting chance!
- inactive, on 07/03/2008, -4/+9If the Democratic and Republican bases held that much sway you'd think that one or another would nominate an idealogue like Kucinich, Brownback, or Huckabee. The closest you'll ever find are people who are personally politically alligned with the base but pragmatic enough to govern from closer to center (Reagan, Dubya, Obama).
Then the bases turn around to call these people "sellouts". - Sandiec99, on 07/04/2008, -1/+6It is not over until it is over. Anything can happen between now and the convention. People are born, people die, things happen that change what we think will happen. Keep doing all we can do and keep looking up!!
- sgiffy, on 07/03/2008, -4/+9Jesus Christ guys, 6 hours of DVD's. You really think anyone is going to watch that *****. How about cutting it down to a more reasonable length.
- roystgnr, on 07/04/2008, -1/+6I donated to the Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign, despite knowing he was never going to win, because I thought it was a good idea in the long run to help his campaign give the principles of liberty, limited and decentralized government, and the US Constitution and Bill of Rights a more prominent hearing.
I won't be donating to the "Try To Swipe Some Pledged Delegates Campaign", because the best thing that could happen to it would be to fail quietly. Even a limited level of success before that inevitable failure could hurt libertarian principles in the long run, by associating them with an undemocratic attempt to weasel a victory out of a fourth place showing.
If you support Ron Paul's ideals, worry about how to get more Americans to support them. If we succeed, stunts like this will become unnecessary; if not, any unpopular "victory" would be temporary at best. - gavin422, on 07/03/2008, -3/+8"I really can't see the country electing Obama."
Really? Because I can. He's uniformly crushing McCain in polls. Whether you support Ron Paul or not, it shouldn't be difficult to see that Obama will most likely win an Obama/McCain election. - inactive, on 07/03/2008, -1/+6That's the fluoride.
"Oh no, the bad man made me think about stuff" - avengingturnip, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4Do you really think the Nevada delegates will get past the credentials committee at National?
- countdownmsnbc, on 07/03/2008, -4/+8he's 74. not much time left for him to "finally become our President"
- siszam, on 07/03/2008, -7/+11He did withdraw and told people to move on. What you see here is the lunatic fringe that does not represent the truth movement or Ron Paul. These are the kind of people who would off themselves if their great leader told them too. Kind of scary isn't it?
- lodwar, on 07/03/2008, -6/+10Sweet! Brilliant ! amazing! Supelatives ad infinitum...I was hoping for something like this now that the other candidates are totalyflip floping and burying themselves in hubris thinking "We The People" have no choices left !
- vtnerd, on 07/04/2008, -0/+4He won't win the nomination and stealing pledged delegates is the wrong way to accomplish anything.
Unfortunately both Obama and McCain are poor choices for our next President. If you can't see why, then there's no point in even trying to explain it because you won't listen anyways. I'm sure this will get me dug down, but they are both going to continue to gut the Bill of Rights.
If you care about the future of this country, Ron Paul is the only conceivable vote to cast. Protecting the Constitution is the only way this country can move forward. But everyone in America is so happy to elect the "lesser of two evils" that someone who should not be elected gets elected every time (ie. George Bush). We need a functional, multiparty system but the D's and R's in Congress love their jobs too much to actually allow democracy a chance at working so it's pretty near impossible for other political parties to break through and achieve anything. It doesn't help that Americans are so incredibly stupid as to assume that if you don't have a D or R next to your name that you couldn't get the job done. It doesn't help that American media is equally stupid so other parties get zero coverage. This two party system is literally killing our civil liberties and nobody cares because you're all too busy hoping your ***** candidate beats the other ***** candidate.
Wake up before it's too late. Or not, you and your descendants will be the ones dealing with all the ***** these failed Presidents leave for the future. The rest of us with some sense will be long gone to let you stupid, gutless ***** wallow in your own stupidity by then. - SchmuckofNI, on 07/04/2008, -0/+4Norway, you don't hear jack ***** about that country.
- NatrlSelection, on 07/03/2008, -8/+12Let's not forget that I too am still eligible for the nomination! I am also still eligible for the NBA draft.
- doctorfungi, on 07/03/2008, -4/+8Alex Jones calling you crazy is like Richard Simmons calling you a *****.
- haxzen, on 07/03/2008, -3/+6No; He's not.
- NSResponder, on 07/04/2008, -0/+3The national convention will have no legal basis to refuse them, since the delegates were chosen in accord with the party rules.
So, they might try to keep them out, in which case you could expect litigation to ensue.
-jcr - gavin422, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3Yeah, I have to admit, those rEVOLution signs were the best political logos I've ever seen.
- HotGore, on 07/03/2008, -24/+27Give me a break. Right there is no chance he will become president.
- rentmitchum, on 07/03/2008, -3/+5I mean because the rest of them dropped out and Paul didn't.
- ncurses, on 07/04/2008, -4/+6hahahaha your insane candidate lost suckas
- inactive, on 07/03/2008, -9/+11Paul is older than McCain.
Romeny, Huckabee, Thompson, Giuliani, Big Bird, Stallone, and the Republican party's pet hamster would be in line in front of Paul. - bduddy, on 07/04/2008, -1/+3They want a fair election only if their candidate is winning...
- Seldon2639, on 07/04/2008, -2/+4It's *technically* possible in the same way it's *technically* possible for Clinton to still get the Democratic nomination. Delegates to the Republican convention are selected based on their allegiance to the candidate who won. In states where McCain won (excluding the very few which use proportional delegation), he'll have all of the delegates being his supporters. So, while it's conceivable that his supporters sway some of them, it's exceptionally unlikely that he actually wins the nomination.
- Kosher1947, on 07/04/2008, -0/+2Would it be better if I voted for McCain? No that right, I shold sit at home on election day with a stotgun and a tinfoil hat on my head.
- doctorfungi, on 07/03/2008, -4/+6I'm guessing they would have to have another vote. Romney would most likely get it. Ron Paul would most likely lose it again.
