- infinity777, on 02/01/2008, -38/+149Lets help defeat Billary together, help obama reach 250,000 donors tonight!!
From barackobama.com;
"Here's the news today: so far in January alone, more than 224,000 people have given to this campaign.
If we can reach 250,000 donors for January by midnight tonight, it will show the undeniable strength and incredible momentum of our grassroots movement.
If you give today, another supporter like you will match your donation. Make your first donation of 2008 now:
https://donate.barackobama.com/match
These 224,000 people are giving whatever they can afford -- more than ninety percent of our donors this year have given $100 or less."
I gave $50 and I'm planning on donating again, lets help a decent and honest man get elected for once. Yes we can!! - elkram, on 02/01/2008, -10/+104A bad day for Hillary is a good day for America!
- crichton101, on 02/01/2008, -6/+59My Great Grandfather was a bootlegger, the sins of the father should not be blamed on the son, no matter who he is, only his sins should be blamed on him.
- caninedevotion, on 02/01/2008, -17/+69I find it interesting that scores of digg members seem to be swayed by the media's anti-Clinton sentiment. I definitely prefer Obama, but a lot of you make really idiotic statements that cheapen the fact that Obama is better. This "Anyone but Hillary '08" ***** has to stop. If you would seriously take John "Let's stay in Iraq 100 years" McCain or Mitt "Run the country like a business" Romney over Clinton, you are out of your ***** skull. Did you watch the debate tonight? Oh, what a horrible bitch, right? Wait, what? Looked pretty goddamn reasonable to me. Yeah, the Clintons were doing a bit of *****-slinging and they certainly aren't the most spotless, baggage-free people to put in the Whitehouse. I can agree with that. But all of this extreme, misogynistic crap reflects poorly on this whole community.
- inactive, on 02/01/2008, -27/+79OBAMA!
- inactive, on 02/01/2008, -20/+71OF COURSE Hilary was a good board member for Wal-mart - she had the connections and she wanted the money. This article
http://www.scragged.com/articles/wal-mart-s-repres ...
explains how Wal Mart pays bribes, sorry, "campaign contributions," to politicians in return for lower taxes. They get representation without taxation because they pay the politicians to pay attention to them. We can't afford to pay politicians to look out for us, so we get taxation without representation. But people are beginning to catch on; Ted Kennedy endorsed Mr. Obama. Some say he likes Mr. Obama, but this article
http://www.scragged.com/articles/chappaquiddick-te ...
explains what could be A reason why Mr. Kennedy might have decided to endorse Mr. Obama. Maybe he isn't content just to finish his "twilight tour" in the Senate. Maybe he wants to be vice-president! Only in America could the son of a bootlegger run for vice president. - Frostman3D, on 02/01/2008, -24/+73Good, anything that keeps that bitch out of the Whitehouse is ok by me.
- rory096, on 02/01/2008, -8/+53Don't forget Digg developing a massive anti-Hillary/pro-Obama bias.
- cheese06, on 02/01/2008, -8/+52It is seriously the Democratic party's interest to have Obama as the nominee of the party. If Hitlery becomes the nominee, she will be as divisive as Bush, and insurmountably energize the Republican party to vote for whomever the Republican nominee just as long as Hitlery is not the president. If Obama were the nominee, he would take a boat load of independent votes as well as even steal some Republican votes, including me :)
- one1plus1one, on 02/01/2008, -3/+40Ya Rory096: I would like to comment on that as well.
First, for the record, I prefer Obama by far.
But the anti-Hillary bias and rhetoric on Digg is such a turn off for me -- its beginning to feel like Fox News!
If you notice, the person who submitted this story to Digg is using a highly unfavorable and unflattering picture of Hillary -- which makes me feel that the person is trying too hard to shove their anti-Hillary opinion down my throat.
Using unflattering pictures, and people posting comments that resort to 3rd grade name-calling (referring to Hillary as a "bitch") are really cheap and juvenile -- the readers a Digg are better than that. (I hope!)
To all of those of you out there doing this, please note: I'm semi-intelligent, and I can make up my own mind, without you having to resort to Fox-like techniques to sway my opinion.
And if I keep seeing my fellow Obama supporters enjoy referring to a woman as a "bitch" then I'm going to begin to wonder if I want to be part of that crowd. - hierophantus, on 02/01/2008, -0/+32...and now he just hit 250,000.
- Thumper13, on 02/01/2008, -5/+36Why do the people of this country want to be ruled by two families? I just can't understand it.
Right now it should be Obama and Edwards, NOT Hillary and Obama.
TWO FAMILIES HAVE THE ANSWERS FOR AMERICA? seriously. Can we stop this already?
Republicans for OBAMA '08 - mochaman, on 02/01/2008, -6/+30The truth has to reach to the voters for super Tuesday, otherwise it will be more of the same in washington, corruption and corporate pandering.
- RansomHoldiay, on 02/01/2008, -2/+24jesus 240,000 and it's only 7:10
- Akintunde, on 02/01/2008, -0/+21good luck on your interview. ^^
- inactive, on 02/01/2008, -4/+25Seriously, you gotta drop the "Hitlery" thing. It's just idiotic.
- Malevolant, on 02/01/2008, -2/+20Thank you very much for that. Seriously. I'm not a supporter of either candidate, but you make Obama look better when you speak with eloquence and when you don't resort to childish antics, name calling, and ad hominem attacks. Obama/Anti-Hilary people should listen to the OP because he speaks volumes about what you're doing. Just as the Ron Paul spammers became a massive annoyance, you're becoming the same thing and do you really want to have a negative connotation attached to Obama here? Stop spamming, stop acting like children, and stop trying to shove Obama down our throats. If Obama acted like most of you do you think he'd have a chance to be elected? Hell no.
- DavidGX, on 02/01/2008, -1/+18I gave $5, it's all I have atm. If my job interview goes well tomorrow, I'll give a sizeable amount more. As of about 30 minutes before this post, he made 250k donations! Woo!
- ridium, on 02/01/2008, -0/+17"Only in America could the son of a bootlegger run for vice president."
One of the other sons of said bootlegger became president. - Kautylia, on 02/01/2008, -0/+16A useless comment like that will get buried regardless of the bias here.
- capiCrimm, on 02/01/2008, -1/+17okay, these politicians are smelly, but bootlegger? That's like scorning someone for being involved in the underground railroad. Sure it was illegal, but seriously, you should work on the dirt you dig up.
- asskey, on 02/01/2008, -11/+26Like that time he was drunk and killed that woman by driving off a bridge?
- ziptnf, on 02/01/2008, -0/+14I just donated 25 bucks. Hell, if I'm gonna support him as actively as I do, I may as well donate.
- kavustock, on 02/01/2008, -0/+14Good god, the republicans will have a riot with that Kazakhstan story. What else has Bill Clinton been up to. There is only one way that the Republicans can win the white house. . . .the democrats elect Hillary. I have heard that conservative radio stations are encouraging CA republicans to cross lines and vote for her in the primary so that they can beat her in the general election in the fall. When I see articles like this, it's pretty easy to see that Hillary cannot win the general election.
- rficwizard, on 02/01/2008, -1/+15What does it mean for a Presidential candidate to be "for Blacks"? A President should be "for" all US citizens, without regard to race, gender, age, religion, sexual preference, handicap, political affiliation, country of origin, or any of the other facets of their identity. I am getting really tired of hearing how each Presidential candidate should pander to a particular group. This is America; we can do better than that.
- scotticus, on 02/01/2008, -2/+16I'm voting for him because he's eloquent, stirring, intelligent, optimistic, and not a republican.
It has nothing to do with the color of his skin or guilt about slavery. That doesn't even make sense... a) I didn't own any slaves ; b) he's not even a descendant of slaves; and c) he's also half white.
The degree of racism you exhibit is amazing... I thought your kind had died out already. - JigoroKano, on 02/01/2008, -0/+13You guys are all talking as if bootlegging is wrong?
So Prohibition was good now? - Ubergoober3, on 02/01/2008, -10/+23Don't forget the finger crossing guy.
http://www.bored.com/photos/hillarypriceless.html
O wait that was yesterday. - ThinkFr33ly, on 02/01/2008, -7/+20Well, they just had a pretty big freaking debate over there on CNN, and the consensus seems to be that both Hillary and Barack did well, but Hillary did just a bit better. So it wasn't an entirely bad news day for Clinton.
Personally, I think Barack really flubbed the immigration portion of the debate. He clearly misrepresented Hillary's position, and then fumbled when called on it.
Aside from that, both did well. - FoxOrian, on 02/01/2008, -6/+19I think we need to order more tin-foil hats, we're getting low.
- tyler0is0sexy, on 02/01/2008, -1/+13I noticed the same thing, she can't help bring up her husband's record even when she's allegedly trying to stay away from it.
- Frostman3D, on 02/01/2008, -5/+15You've got a ***** up sentence there bud.
- DavidGX, on 02/01/2008, -0/+10ron paul got a ***** of donations over several moneybombs and the media pays almost no attention to him so.. yeah.. it's very possible.
- vade79, on 02/01/2008, -1/+11Well you're in trouble, cause there's a whole section for them. You could say keep video game reviews off digg...but by your nickname, i don't think you'd approve. Different people want to read different things, not just what you want...douchey.
- inactive, on 02/01/2008, -1/+11takes one to know one?
- alittleroy101, on 02/01/2008, -0/+10I agree, it's overly dramatic.
- inactive, on 02/01/2008, -2/+12Well, actually that was 4 years ago. And it "came out" on Digg, meaning that 99.9999% of the country didn't see it.
- cornflakepirate, on 02/01/2008, -1/+10If only Digg had a feature that let you only see news in categories you choose! Wouldn't that be great!
- Thumper13, on 02/01/2008, -1/+10If Hillary is elected, and assuming that she wins a 2nd term, you're good with 30 years of two families ruling our country. This is the best our country has, the Clinton's and the Bush's?
You're seriously fine with that?
I don't care what Hillary's grandpappy did for a living. Our history will show, Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush, Clinton, Clinton.
You have to see that as a problem.
It's time for someone else to solve our problems. - relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -10/+19I don't want President Hillary. I want President Obama.
- elkram, on 02/01/2008, -1/+10No being as Digg has more than one political category you should keep off of Digg if you don't like the topics!
- yaddayaddayoda, on 02/01/2008, -0/+9I don't like Hillary.
- bitkari, on 02/01/2008, -1/+9It's cool that people feel they can help their candidate win by contributing money, but it's sad that this much money is actually required to campaign in a modern democracy. Just think of what could these millions of dollars could do that are simply being wasted away...
- rficwizard, on 02/01/2008, -4/+12And take Huckabee, McCain, and Romney with you!

- inactive, on 02/01/2008, -0/+8Hillary = I'M MELTING! MEELLLLLLTING!
- DavidGX, on 02/01/2008, -2/+10Good man. Thanks for supporting the best candidate, despite his party.
- chromerium, on 02/01/2008, -0/+7You forgot one: Restore the constitution as the highest law in the land, and the right of Habeas Corpus.
