- Veni_Vidi_Vici, on 02/01/2008, -0/+11I, for one, would like to point out that at least 90% of the radioactive material should go to scientific research, if not 99.9 (i suppose we gotta keep at least 1 bomb for deterrence). The level of illogic that comes from having the capability to blow up the entire planet 100 times over as opposed to even just one is so grand that the entire planet of Vulcan would shake their heads in a baffled display of shame and outrage. That is, if Vulcans had feelings.

Please look at this site. You will know why the use of these weapons is much more heinous than simply charging it's users as war-criminals. The devastation that these men have done to our planet and her people is just sickening. I hope you will take the time to look at this and see what our country really is doing around the world.

Its the kind of site that gets me very angry, which in turn often leads me into a barrage of hyperbole and nasty comments because so many ignorant ***** in America honestly believe these people deserve to be tortured like this- many on digg, in fact. Its sickening, disgusting and completely lacks character. Its great you posted the link though- you never know, maybe one person will change their view based on the facts your link provides. One can only hope!
- inactive, on 02/01/2008, -0/+5I would like to propose that perhaps the material could be used for nukes...for diverting asteroids. Not blowing them up but detonation in front of it so gamma and x-ray causes heating and 'ablation' (jetting) which will act to slow or speed and change orbit. This needs to be done for some 'near earth objects' lots of treaties and mistrust to get past but:

The odds given on that link are kind of low. I happen to know that there is great worry over it though. What a triumph it will be for mankind to actually control his fate in such ways.
I myself think we will all be sitting in Bush's concentration camps and "apophis" will be the biblical "wormwood". But that's just me.
