- inactive, on 05/16/2008, -1/+46I like the fact that the only response people have to the usurpations of our rights is "Ron Paul" followed by some inane remark.
There's a reason Ron has a #1 best selling book and the restoration of our rights will occur, maybe not this year but they will. - kemp34, on 05/16/2008, -1/+44Without a well-defined Constitutional limit on government, you have tyranny, whether it be of one, of a few, or of the majority. I prefer a limited republic and any free individual should too. Being a serf is not good.
- inactive, on 05/17/2008, -0/+33Clearly the only way to go is more control of things by the people and less by the federal government. Let's look at the DEA and how worthless and stupid they are. When the DEA was created 2% of the population was addicted and today 2% are addicted but we have spent trilions of dollars investigating, arresting, adjudicating, and incarcerating people for drugs.
We know the right way to treat the addicts but those big government control freaks think it is perfectly OK to send armed DEA agents in to bust down the door of a hospice in their war on marijuana.
The Senators don't talk about getting rid of the DEA and they have voted to fund it.The DOJ should be renamed because we don't see a lot of justice from there, the IRS incorrectly enforces the code and the Senators just love the IRS.
Petitioning the government for redress of grievances is a right. It is through that right we have a way to stop government tyranny.
- kemp34, on 05/17/2008, -0/+25A federal leviathan is NOT the answer to our problems, in spite of the state-lovers on Digg who believe otherwise. The funny thing is, when I say "state-lovers" many of the ignoramuses most likely think I am referring to states (such as California) rather than the actual entity of the state (i.e. central government).
- inactive, on 05/16/2008, -0/+23Maybe you don't understand what is really going on.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTI ...
A lawyer who was acquitted by a federal court trial jury of Internal Revenue Service accusations he failed to filed income tax returns for two years now is suing several IRS agents over their alleged improper disclosure of his personal information in the case. ...Last summer in federal court a jury voted 12-0 to find Cryer, of Shreveport, not guilty of the IRS allegations. He had been indicted on 2006 on government claims he failed to pay $73,000 to the IRS in 2000 and 2001.
His successful defense was based on a challenge to the IRS to prove a constitutional foundation for the nation's income tax.
**********************
That's the reality of it and I have joined him in some of his "lawsuits" which are in fact petitions for redress of grievances as found in the first amendment or seeking redress for incorrect applications of the law.
It is not only patriotic it is also necessary to keep the government in check.
What would you rather he do to protect his rights?
Revolt?? - kemp34, on 05/17/2008, -0/+18Does the federal government run public schools and public roads? Moron.
- inactive, on 05/17/2008, -3/+21Post roads are mentioned in the Constitution and localities and states are responsible for roads. I know my city, county, and state governments all have road funds, so where is the problem?
I guess you don't know much about government here in these united States.
There is no prohibition of roads anywhere that I know of. Please be specific as to which roads are prohibited.
As to schools it is the duty of the community to provide schools so if you have some place where schools are specifically prohibited then please show me or admit your were being facetious. Our state has two universities and if I read the Constitution right anything not permitted nor prohibited in the Constitution was to the states and people respectively. Getting rid of public education is a stupid idea, or were you just being self effacing? - gmdmartyr, on 05/30/2008, -0/+18I signed the petition. Something's gotta give and it's another website thats "trying". I get sick and tired of signing petitions, but it's my "God-given" DUTY! Same as Boycott!
- KobyBrandt, on 06/08/2008, -0/+14Bob Schulz, and his organization - the We the People Foundation (WTP) - have been engaged in a very costly & long battle -- both in human & monetary terms - in our highest Federal Courts (even most recently up to the U.S. Supreme Court) and elsewhere in an attempt to preserve, protect, and restore your fundamental Rights for well over a decade & many of you probably never even knew it. He's a rare man, a man of honor, uncompromising integrity, extremely intelligent, highly articulate, and a recognized scholar and expert at Constitutional law.
He's also appeared in the now famous documentary film "America: Freedom to Fascism" (2006) by the late award-winning Hollywood producer/director Aaron Russo, right along with Congressman Ron Paul. You can view it free on Google Video. Just search for it by title.
It's very important that all of us assist him (especially if you are a member of the Ron Paul r3VOLution) in any way that we can in his efforts to restore the Constitution in this Country. You can begin by visiting:
http://www.givemeliberty.org/revolution
and if you haven't already, sign the Petitions for Redress. And remember, they're YOUR Rights and liberties that are at stake here. - jnsnent, on 06/08/2008, -0/+13Our federal government has gotten too big. We need to scale it back about 100 years or so and allow the states the power they were intended. We don't need the federal government interfering with our daily lives the way they do. Our country ran rather well for almost 150 years without an income tax as well. People need to wake up and realize we are being fleeced!!!

- infinityBBC, on 06/09/2008, -0/+11i agree with Bob Schultz, in that it seems that we will not now be able to vote our way our from tyranny.
the bottom line to me is whether or not the members of the Federal Government is to be held accountable to the Constitution, by which they swear oaths of office to protect and uphold.
either way, THIS fact needs to be brought into the spotlight for all America.
i'm not suggesting anyone give up on supporting political candidates they feel are pro-liberty, but i AM suggesting everyone who is pro-liberty spread the message of the Right to Redress issue far and wide! - Reddog_x2000, on 05/30/2008, -0/+11I hope you're right Cashman. Question is, will they be restored in our lifetimes?
- thecountyguard, on 06/04/2008, -0/+11Neognostic... Have you read the IR code? Do you know the two forms of taxation the government can use? Do you know the legal definition of "income?" Do you know what the "matrix" is? There is no law in the IR Code making most Americans liable for "income" tax. "Income" is NOT wages, salaries and compensation for work done... so says the courts and Congress. The IRS is the greatest scam the planet has ever seen... next to the Federal Reserve which comes in as the second biggest scam... or is it vice versa??? Get the facts on the laws and you, too, can quit being forced to pay a tax that is illegal. http://thematrixhasyou.org/affidavit-updated/affid ...
- newvoice, on 06/08/2008, -0/+10Join in this effort. Electing a politician will not solve this problem. WE THE PEOPLE must take back our government and hold our representatives accountable for these major violations against our constitution. Some of these violations include the Patriot Act, the illegal IRAQ War and Illegal Immigration.
- JohnnyB1961, on 06/09/2008, -0/+9 Ron Paul is no longer needed. He will join us once we arrive at His level. We've a long ways to go and, frankly, Dr. Paul will not wait another 20 or 30 years for us catch up. Well 30 anyway, We are a hard breed to kill.
So get off your duffs and 'get in their face' with your freedom! Viva la revolution!

I challenge you to become more than a headline reader and paragraph skimmer. The MSM LIES and twists as does your government. Make the effort to see what has brought Mr. Shultz to this point and then I would be happy to see your name placed on each petition- holding nothing against you ultimately for your current state of ignorance. - mannaman, on 06/09/2008, -0/+7Bob Shultz has incredible courage, we all owe him a huge debt committing his life to restoring OUR God given rights that we should be fighting for! Go Bob, get involved before its too late people. If you havent visted Alex Jones site, infowars (dot) com you are missing out on some amazing info. A WAKE up call. Take the Red pill and join the fight for freedom!
- Journeywithinn, on 06/09/2008, -0/+7FEDERAL government should NOT be involved in educating our children. That is what Communists do. That is what Hitler did. That is the ONLY problem. Our kids do not need to be indoctrinated and "dumbed down" by the Federal government, and I can show you a LOT of good examples as to how they are doing this, and also how the educational system is going the quality of the VA Hospitals if you are interested. However, this initiative is NOT about schools. It is about allowing our REDRESS of Grievances to be heard. You only have to sign any you agree with, or at least support the first amendment rights that this should be addressed by the government even if you do NOT want to be one of the petitioners.

The Liberty you defend may be your own. - Skurj, on 06/05/2008, -1/+6ah the constitution... ideally, isn't the government supposed to represent 'the people'? Or at least filter the demands and wishes of the people into something reasonable and coherent and then make it so?
Clearly no option like this has been available for a long time because people would have voted for it right? .....right? ........?
i dont know.
if someone could make sure the government served its purpose honeslty and effectively i'd be really impressed.
i dont think overwhelming change is something america could handle all in one shot. significant positive change takes time, sometimes alot of it. and people have to really really want it. all people, not just those in the know. i think it's almost at that point. we'll see when election time comes. - bdridgway, on 06/09/2008, -0/+5Thank you, Bob Schultz. Thank you people who have read and 'dugg' this. Folks, I have a big email list of people who I have been emailing for months about 'the mess' America is in. The majority don't want to hear it, and I have alienated a lot of friends, associates and, yes, even business associates. Don't care! A few have joined the Revolution!
I recommend that you:
1.craft a nice, positively-worded (no doom and gloom) email and send it to everyone on your list.
2. Join your local Ron Paul meetup. (great place to connect and communicate.)
3. Donate what you can, where and when you can to the orgs that are really doing something.
4. Join 'DownsizeDCdotorg (you know the drill- replace the 'dot' with a dot. They are a great org!
5. Maybe most important of all -Join the John Birch Society. For 50 years they have been possibly the most solid, action-oriented bastion for freedom, limited gov and liberty out there. Make SURE you act on their action items each month. THE JBS is the reason you and I aren't already 'chipped' -seriously. jbsdotorg

Folks, we are obviously in DEEP *****. Our country has been occupied. The Democrat and Republican Neo-Con's cheshire cat smile, they nod in secret agreement, they whisper behind closed doors and they sign away our life, our land, our families, our home and our resources. Will we wake up to a gun pointed at our head, being dragged from our homes in the middle of the night and thrown into a Civilian Labor Camp to serve as Depleted Uranium clean up crews? The Bilderberg group has unleashed their wrath on the WORLD in the form of microwave radiation, depleted uranium, degradation on humanity and constant death threats all aimed at killing mankind. It costs us money, and it wastes lives.
- inactive, on 06/09/2008, -0/+2While I commend Bob Schultz and everyone joining in this revolution to restore the constitution, I remember the words of Patrick Henry, the only way to preserve liberty and freedom is through down right use force, unfortunately. Not the exact words, but you get the point. I have a sick feeling once all of these noble options are exhausted with no results and no where else to turn there will be another revolution in this country or the people will just accept there liberty and freedom being eroded and eventually taken from them.
- alternativecatI, on 06/10/2008, -1/+3I think the person above was probably joking and you didn't get it. Never the less, the Department of Education didn't go into place until 1980
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Departm ...
What happens is the states pay taxes, and then they have to meet regulations created by the Department of Education to get the money back.
The idea is we would save money buy not having a Department of Education and keeping the money in each state. The curriculum would then be determined by the local school board and PTA.
The U.S. is third from the bottom in science and math, so the DE doesn't appear to be working out. Check out page 27 on this report http://nces.ed.gov/Pressrelease/reform/pdf/reform. ...

Actually it is worse more people died in centralized type of governments for in it The People lost their independence and power to the State often being fed and given inimical poisonous products or services. Lest We forget, http://twitter.com/SeaMist ........ - chimborazo, on 06/10/2008, -0/+1Psychopaths make up only about 6% of the population, yet are responsible for about 80% of our problems. Successful psychopaths gravitate towards positions of power (whether it is commerce or public service), for they crave control over others. The successful psychopath’s persona is very charming & personable & may present themselves as a true humanitarian, yet, they have no conscience of right or wrong nor have any empathy for others; they only want power over others. Leaders of our industry and government have become infested with psychopaths. What does this have to do with our government’s refusal to redress our grievances? Well, it’s just another example of their evil activities suppressing (controlling) their slaves (us). Psychopathy is the root of evil in the world (including our country). And the world (& the USA) will never change, even if Ron Paul were elected President, until this problem is addressed & these people identified and dealt with properly. And forcing the government to address our grievances I believe is a terrific beginning towards this end. Please support this cause. And thank you Mr. Schulz for all your efforts & sacrifices.

Has anyone thought of the possibility of creating a list of ALL elected officials - =- Federal, State, County, etc., and then rating each on a 1 to 10 scale as to the degree that each has honored his Sworn Oath to "uphold and defend the Constitution"? Those who fail the test could be placed on an OUT the INcumbent list so voters are forewarned ahead of elections. Those who egregiously violate the terms of the "contract" with the voters should be subject to class action impeachment. This Matrix of illusion we are fed, like mushrooms in the dark, is coming to light. We know the truth but not all do. It has taken generations of conditioning to bring Americans to the point they are now. It is more than just America, it is the world and everyone in it. The master minds of this operation have done a great job globally to prepare for the World of control and governing that they intend. What they did not want us to know is who we really are, our power. They wanted us to forget that we are created in the image and likeness of God, all powerful beings that with our consciousness and desire can change anything. Lets do so... let us not only change the course of America for our sons and daughters but the World by our actions. - inactive, on 06/21/2008, -0/+1I am confident I will live to see liberty in America again.
