- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17i used to trip and repeatedly fall on a girl naked but we didnt have sex either
- deesnutz, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19How low can the Republican party go?
First you have this Mark Foley (R-FL) pedophile and the Dennis Hastert (R-IL) cover-up.
And now George W. Bush is campaigning for Don Sherwood (R-PA). After Sherwood admitted to having an affair. And his mistress filed papers in court stating that Sherwood tried to strangle her. And it seems the president didn't have a problem with it. In a speech thee president only mentions a letter that Sherwood's wife wrote about the affair. And the president said that the letter moved him.
And all this under president Bush's National Character Counts Week.
Republicans are a joke. Get these bums out of office, ASAP.
America needs a change and needs to evolve ...

You ever seen a grown man naked? - feylanks, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15we've got war in iraq, genocide in africa, emo kids in america, and nukes in korea.
but there is going to be hell to pay if i miss my foley sex scandel news. - dclowd9901, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Who cares if he had consensual sex with a priest? Are they trying to blame Foley's pedophilia on him being gay (if he even is)? The two are mutually exclusive.
A man who rapes young boys isn't a gay pedophiliac. He's just a pedophiliac. It's a mental disorder. Being a man attracted to other men isn't a mental disorder recognized by the APA. - millixaw, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Cue the GOP response involving Clinton in 3... 2... 1...
- Paroparo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15That can hardly count. I mean everyone's naked in the sauna. Unless they're silly foreigners who don't know the proper rituals of course.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11How many priests have you sauned with or skinny dipped with..
sorry may seem innocent to you but even as a child we knew that was the sort of priest you avoided. - Nougat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8What happens in Congress stays in Congress.

- Flufflebuns, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Typical conservative christians. Nothing surprising at all.
Abstinance makes the church grow fondlers. - griz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8A priest, a boy and Mark Foley walk into a sauna....
- oneniner, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8That's like saying, even though it slipped in, I'm still a virgin!
- burnstyle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7i just heard his sound byte
he said "i didnt rape him, meaning i didnt have anal or oral sex with him, i fondled him"
(paraphrased) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8I didn't know the emo kids in America really ranked as high as the those others.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Do you really think that they didn't know? Or couldn't have known were he not a majority congressman.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I take it you always sauned with your priest as a child? Did he also rub you tenderly? Of course there isn't anything wrong... like the priest said "...no penetration".
Pshh, yeah right! - rumor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4yes but she was clothed.
- bitcloud, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5So foleys the victim now? nice whitewash...

What a weasel... who's idea was it to blame others rather than take ownership of his problem? - millixaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Me neither. Just keep this stuff in the news until Election Day. Then we can all forget about it.
- EllisAshbrook, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6yeah maybe normal people, but not priests...stay away from naked priests.
- deesnutz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Here's the digg link to what I mentioned above ...
http://digg.com/politics/During_National_Character_Counts_Week_Bush_Stumps_for_Philanderer_2 - dissident, on 10/12/2007, -1/+416 years old isn't even considered a "pedophile" in my mind.. hell, even 14 isn't. Who cares.
It's normal built in animal behavior to be attracted to someone once they reach childbearing age, which starts around 12-13 and goes onward.
Pretending our kids aren't having sex isn't going to make it go away, and nor are pretending nobody is attracted to teenagers. - burnstyle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4the video interview is on this page

forgive the double post - carcrazy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@ deesnutz:
What's the problem with politicians? I believe that's the question you meant to ask. I don't care if you are Democrat, Republican, Independent, I-Know-I'm-Right-So-STFU, or whatever. All politicians suck. Its sickening. Shouldn't they be our role models? They hold the good of their countries in their hands, yet they are constantly losing all trust and respect anyone ever had for them because of such actions. It makes you want to stay away from the polls (as bad a decision that can be: at least one of the guys running has got to be better than the others).
Another thing: Its only on the internet that people care this much about Foley that this ***** makes the front page. I don't think my local newspaper is even covering this anymore. I hope not. All we needed to know was that he's a pedophile and belongs in prison. I don't want to hear about him again unless its to say someone shot his balls off. - griz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sticking my fingers in my ears now....La La La La La La La La
- yorch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Does anybody thinks this was fake news?. When I first heard about this, It sounded like some propaganda to try to take the blame off Foley and give it to the Priest, I mean, I have never seen a priest saying all these things, so bluntly: "Yeah, we touched, we fondled, but we never had sex!" (yeah, like that makes it right). Am I the only one that things these are some prefabricated news to try to deviate the real problem?

First, Foley isn't accused of raping anybody. Second, he isn't (that we know of) a pedophile: that would require that he were sexually attracted to prepubescents, which he isn't (again, as far as we know). - totorototoro, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"he was allegro" :)) :)) wtf?

If you're sticking with the republicans, why? - pilgrim3970, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Conservatives - Please tell me if you are a staunch republican who will or may vote democrat this coming election, in response to the attrocities of late? Actually I am a conservative who registered Republican the day after I was old enough to do so. I changed that to independent this year. As irritated as I am with the Republican party, I also will not embrace the Democrats.
My change in affiliation was a deliberate step towards not voting the party line. We have some good republican candidates here but there are also a couple of decent Democrat candidates here that will get my vote.
Gave up on the idea the Republican party is "God's Party" a long time ago and get just as irritated with conservatives who with follow GWB like he can do no wrong as I am with liberals. - Twango, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I was naked in a sauna with my Uncle-in-law ... and we beat each other with tree branches too. Lucky for him he's dead!
Good thing we're not in the middle of a losing war, or losing all our rights ... or else this would be a really dumb thing to get all excited about. - kingp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1oops, wrong thread...please digg down.
- pilgrim3970, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Who cares if he had consensual sex with a priest? "
Well... I for one do. the Christian faith teaches that any sexual activity outside of one man and one woman who are married to each other is outside of God's design and law. This means adultery, fornication, homosexuality, beastiality (whcih is just twistedly sick). This priest may be retired but he should still be officially stripped (no pun intended) of his clerical status.
I personally think that Foley using this as some sort of excuse is completely asinine. If anything it gives him even less an excuse - Mr Foley, if this traumatized you this badly then you should know better than inflict that on someone else. - OsakaWilson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was thinking the exact same thing. I don't know if it is fake, but it is clear that Foley is trying to deflect attention away from himself.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Interview with A Democrat
Mr. Democrat, if your party takes over the House, will you raise taxes?
Mark Foley.
How do you plan to fight the War on Terror?
Mark Foley.
Will you raise the minimum wage, thereby increasing inflation and pricing young people out of the job market?
Mark Foley.
What is your exit strategy for Iraq?
Mark Foley.
Will you attempt to cripple the Bush administration by holding hearing after hearing after hearing?
Mark Foley.
What did you have for breakfast?
Mark Foley. - William42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Voters. And people whom voters' choices affect.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I wholeheartedly agree with you. When I was 14 I had already started a company that sold to Internet.com. I also dabbled with all the psychadelic drugs, but was smart enough to always stay away from cocaine and worse, although ecstasy does have cocaine in it...Ok I digress, no snorting! :) I practically lived at my girlfriends house after school at 13, before her parents got home of course, not that I didn't always stay for dinner when they did. When I was 16 I drove from Canada to Texas with nothing but a learners permit and a week of learning to drive standard with a friend. The learners permit actually PASSED in Austin, driving my buddy's truck alone to Jack in the Box one night (forgot to turn on lights) he was a nurse and had syringes all over the truck lol.. AND they thought I was drunk, AND I failed the first drunk test repeatedly, hadn't had a drink.. lol. Still passed 2 cops. Legally here you can't drive with it alone, on the highway, or at night heh.
We can try kids as adults in jail when they're adult enough to kill someone, but two consenting teenagers can't touch each others private parts. We don't give our kids enough credit, maybe because we feel guilty for not taking the time to spend the time and teach them more about life. Try being honest. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1GASP! What perversion! I always wear a business suit when I'm in the sauna!
- fredkreuger, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Because god told me too...
