- militant, on 10/17/2007, -1/+43first in military donations, second in the key early state of new hampshire, and a close 3rd in another early and important primary, iowa, or so the rumor is. that's rather interesting, don't you think?

VERY popular. - glpav2, on 10/17/2007, -0/+31Ron Paul is really gaining momentum, and it's certainly not the man so much as the message. Donors to the Ron Paul campaign believe in the values that made America great and stand to make America great once more. Let's cast off these high debt, out of control spending shackles and take part in our society as proud, free people once more.
- inactive, on 10/17/2007, -1/+30Blatant censorship! This article was removed from the Digg upcoming page in less than an hour after I posted it and it had at least 1 digg every 2 minutes!!!! I am sick of censorship by Digg. I know it wasn't buried because all the comments were not Dugg down. Digg just removed it.
- Sunshinysmile, on 10/17/2007, -0/+25Now hear this! "The Internet" does NOT make donations!! PEOPLE use the Internet as a method of making donations with THEIR MONEY! Could the media stop making it seem like there are some aliens in the black hole sending money through some kind of waves that only a quantum physics person could understand???? Why put money in the mail, when you can send it directly??? Duh! It's like the war on terror...you don't fight a war with a tactic...just like a tactic does not make contributions... Little old ladies know how to shop on-line...so why can't it be a bunch of little old ladies making donations??? Ugh!
- biggsdarklight, on 10/17/2007, -1/+23Howard Dean was popular on the internet but unlike the Paul campaign some of that popularity was fueled by the MSM, who at this point completely ignore Paul. I call it the "Howard Dean Bubble" where his support was actually less than perceived because the Media hyped him up. Paul's support may be smaller than the "front runners" right now but it is rapidly growing and is 100% genuine when you consider his grassroots support. If you want to point to a candidate in this race that mirrors Dean's campaign look no further than Obama who is benefiting from Media hype but doesn't have a lot of support from actual voters, at least in the face of Clinton.
- ChimpFlix, on 10/17/2007, -0/+20Perhaps the mail-in funds are way above the online reported funds. I'm looking forward to whatever they have to say.
- buckybadger9876, on 10/17/2007, -0/+19i can't wait!
he's going to a trust dinner with romney, thompson, rudy and mccain...
top tier baby! - thinkrink, on 10/17/2007, -0/+18Ron could take matching funds, but won't out of principle, and because he will not need them. He also does not need the limitations they put on you once you take the funds.
- JordanTW90, on 10/17/2007, -0/+18Woot.
Top tier for real. I cant wait when he announces that he topped millitary donations, won many states over in a big way, and that hes raised $1M this quarter. - Radwar99, on 10/17/2007, -0/+17CNBC learns not to 'mess with' Ron Paul, followers
Major victory over CNBC, Read it here (there's also a video):
http://rawstory.com/news/2007/John_Harwood_After_p ... - nawlins, on 10/17/2007, -1/+16Lots of good news about Ron Paul lately, but I'm afraid we won't meet $4 million by the end of the month. The month is half over and they haven't even reached $1 million yet.
Anyone want to shed some light on the subject? - davidgid, on 10/17/2007, -0/+15So, what do you think he will say tomorrow?
- marspidey, on 10/17/2007, -0/+14It's the "anti-ron paul 'spam' army" that is trying to remove any Paul stories from Digg. I guess they don't like free speech, kind of sad for them because he is the person that will best protect anyones rights.
- deadsoulz, on 10/17/2007, -0/+13Lets do this thing, send 25.00 every week.
- traviskicks, on 10/17/2007, -0/+13I'd think he is prob pretty high in NV, an early primary too.
- brettrix, on 10/17/2007, -0/+12I think Ron Paul is going to tell the GOP that if they want to win, he needs to be nominated.
- inactive, on 10/17/2007, -0/+12This ex-Democrat will be holding up a Ron Paul sign on Veterans day at our parade! Ron Paul has opened my eyes and I want my country back! Support this good man with your voice and your wallet. YOUR country needs you now Americans!
- ChimpFlix, on 10/17/2007, -0/+12www.FreeRonPaul.com
- Radwar99, on 10/17/2007, -0/+12No, Ron Paul isn't dropping out, of course not. I think it has to do with the fact that John Mccain made less money than he reported.
- Calc1000, on 10/17/2007, -0/+11He should also mention that he's blowing everyone away in the straw polls. He never harps on that enough.
- 93BBROOKS, on 10/17/2007, -0/+11Keep telling everyone you know and meet about Ron Paul. I can't believe how many people there are out there who still haven't heard his message. We The People can make a difference !! This is the chance of our lifetime to take our country back. RON PAUL 2008 !!
- untjake, on 10/17/2007, -0/+11While I agree that 4mil by the end of this month seems unlikely, the more people that think he has a chance, the more big donors will consider giving him money. Few people want to give their money to a guy if they think he doesn't have a chance. Keep in mind that it's not the same people donating every month. It's all based on how widespread his message is, not necessarily how loyal his current fan base is. That's why his news coverage and and air time on network (NBC,ABC,CBS) TV matters so much.
- Ncturnal, on 10/17/2007, -0/+11The donation indicator on his page is real time and shows the online donations. I've donated, seen my name show up, and the amount incremented by the amount I donated. What won't be displayed real time are the mail-in donations, so it is quite likely there are more donations that shown on his homepage.
- maz2331, on 10/17/2007, -0/+11Actually, the only one of the other candidates with any actual cash on hand after debt was Guliani. Romney had to loan his campaign a bunch of cash, and all except Paul have huge burn rates.
- Ebacherville, on 10/17/2007, -1/+11GO RON Paul !! Every one remember the 5th of november. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D2qGeG88PE
- spammvp, on 10/17/2007, -0/+10some great news on my birthday
- ochobit, on 10/17/2007, -0/+10I think we can make 3 millionish, the last week will be a fervent rush, the serious RP people are still pooped from the fill the thermometer thingee. I for one am selling my Nintendo Wii, I don't have time for video games anymore :( just to make cash to donate.
- saahmed, on 10/17/2007, -0/+9Hopefully its a high profile endorsement.
- itsnt4me, on 10/17/2007, -0/+9RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT 2008
Nuff Said. - jefferygomer, on 10/17/2007, -0/+9I don't think people are even burying the comments. They just see Ron Paul's name, and automatically bury it.
/takes of tin foil hat - MadViking10, on 10/17/2007, -0/+8OK, today I've started donating $17.76 at a time. So I'm the one messing up the cents on the site. Any idea why ?? =)
- bill66, on 10/17/2007, -0/+8I just checked Real Clear Politics to see the polls, Ron Paul is not shown in any poll. I think that all the pollsters are going to get their polling blasted back in their faces by Dr. Ron Paul. I wish that I still lived in Iowa, but since I don't I still tell all my many on-line friends about him and spread the word.
- Shabonkerz, on 10/17/2007, -0/+8Yeah, the rate of donations will steadily increase as the quarter passes, and will sharply increase near the end of the quarter. The growing Ron Paul media attention and new supporters will help lift that pretty well. I'd predict around 10 million, and depending on the media coverage, it could be higher.
- seks03, on 10/17/2007, -0/+7Download on a DVD and hand it out, theres a label print out too http://RonPaulMessage.com
- marco114, on 10/17/2007, -0/+7It's all about who shows up? We show up to all the events, in numbers, and we will to the polls too. You can bet they neocons will be doing everything they can to get people into those booths.
- MadViking10, on 10/17/2007, -0/+7It makes me so angry, that with over a year left until the general election, that they suppress data from the masses. It's not like there are 50 people participating in the debates.
- marco114, on 10/17/2007, -0/+7Generally people will rally at the end of a deadline. Based on the current trend, he will bring in $6.4 million this quarter, which is a 20% increase, however, wait til the end of the quater, it will likely be more like $10 million. I also hope that he's been surpressing the online donations and there's actualy 2 or 3 times more than actually shown... now wouldn't that be sweet!
- Reiher, on 10/17/2007, -0/+7Hi Jordan, he's already raised $1 million since October 1. He's on fire. Ron Paul!
- itsnt4me, on 10/17/2007, -0/+6Happy Birthday from a Patriot.
RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT 2008 - Fabio1976, on 10/17/2007, -0/+6Hi from Germany,
could you please "spam" this online poll of a major German newspaper? Ron Paul is at 27% only behind Hillary and we German Paulites want some coverage of the good Doctor:
http://www.welt.de/dossiers/us-wahlkampf/
Thanks - MadViking10, on 10/17/2007, -0/+6RON PAUL just went over the $1,000,000 mark for the month of October. Looks like a couple big $$$ people were just waiting to push it over the top. Great job so far everyone. GO RON PAUL !!
- Reiher, on 10/17/2007, -0/+5Yeah, because I've been doing it all summer too :)
- 93BBROOKS, on 10/17/2007, -0/+5$17.76 toward The next American Revolution......Trump's Apple Boy's $9.11............RONPAUL2008.COM........A few dollars from Millions of people makes a differance !!!
- babcat, on 10/17/2007, -0/+5Ron Paul is raising money very quickly due to the fact FREEDOM IS POPULAR!
- ignitethefire, on 10/17/2007, -0/+5Great to see RP over $1M this night.
- inactive, on 10/17/2007, -0/+4Ahhhhh hahh, okay, NOW I know!! So YOU'RE the one that is driving me nuts with the cents added donations!! I am the obsessive compulsive, anal donor that keeps donating to round out the cents!! Are you possibly the same person that sneaks into my house and moves my stuff around too? WE RP supporters are the crazy one's, right?
- Reiher, on 10/17/2007, -1/+5It's called the Dean Scream.
