- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -65/+217All three Senators are economic mental midgets. There is only one candidate who has the macroeconomic expertise http://www.ronpaul2008.com/prosperity/
- Look4Truth, on 03/25/2008, -42/+134Well, if the brain dead masses would have voted Ron Paul we wouldn't be talking about these moronic candidates. Oh but McInsane will just have his posse do his work for him so it's ok.
This nation has lost it. - moneyswears, on 03/25/2008, -11/+72A moment of silence for ron paul.
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -14/+72Obama and his big government-ness scares the crap out of me. Especially when it comes to the economy. My vote would go to the best candidate for the economy, to bad there isn't one any more.
- Bossman1086, on 03/25/2008, -9/+67Ron Paul is still running, by the way. He won't win the nomination, but he's still running.
- masterwalls69, on 03/25/2008, -5/+60Ron ***** Paul....he is running or President and talks about the true issues. Too bad Americans are dumb sheep that could care less.
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -11/+59Israel/Palestine is also taboo. Not a word.
- bbsstones, on 03/25/2008, -6/+52Funny how you say that. With the Federal Reserve System, we are lead by the whims of a single board of privately owned banks. Indeed, the economic decisions are ratified, but not by the people of the United States.
- keithgplayer, on 03/25/2008, -9/+54I can see why these three don't want to talk about the economic problems we are facing. Obama and Clinton wouldn't be able to promise the world to their supporters, so they don't mention it and the people don't see them as the frauds they are. McCain doesn't want to mention it, because then people would see how crazy it would be to vote for him and his hundred year empire.
- HealthyElijah, on 03/25/2008, -10/+52Ron Paul knows how to fix the economy. What does Obama plan to do about it? Oh wait, is he gonna ask for change!
- saska, on 03/25/2008, -27/+65I can only speak to the Democratic side of it, but frankly, they are both talking about the economy. Unfortunately, it has been drowned out in all of the *****.
Obama spoke in detail on the anniversary of the war in Iraq on the way that the war has affected our economy and on the absurdity of cutting taxes during wartime. He also spoke in detail about the ways that he sees us being able to recover financially -- and about the myriad problems that face us, addressing the work that needs to be done and not just the pie-in-the-sky promises of a candidate.
But you didn't read about it in the media, so how would you know? - Bossobass, on 03/25/2008, -1/+38Ron Paul will debate the economic crisis with anyone, anytime, anywhere. Just check out his conversations with Greenspan from the late 90s through to Chopper Ben 2 months ago and you'll see he has a firm grasp on the problems, causes and cures for the embarrassing deficit, looting of the Social Security Trust Fund, falling dollar, credit crunch, trade imbalance, trade agreements and the damage our ridiculous quest for Empire is doing.
- slashbot, on 03/25/2008, -10/+47All Obama has to do is throw around a few buzz words like 'change' around, and the drooling masses are happy
- mkauai, on 03/25/2008, -3/+38Don't Blame Me, I Voted for RP
Ron Paul is the only one talking about the failure of our nation's third attempt at a central banking system. Central Banks are traditional failures at safeguarding our economy, and only serve themselves - openj, on 03/25/2008, -15/+50Your economic system:
1. The Federal Reserve sells your US Government $1 at a price of $1+interest.
2. Your government collects taxes to pay the "interest."
3. They don't collect enough, so you all owe a very small group of men several trillion dollars.
What you should do about it:
1. Refuse to pay your taxes (there's no actual "law" on the books that says you must).
2. Shoot any police or government officer who tries to kidnap you for refusing to pay.
Until a Presidential candidate comes along and says literally that exact same thing, bet your bottom dollar that America will collapse in your lifetime. - joeglab, on 03/25/2008, -3/+36Or, in other words, the dollar is falling against gold, a commodity. Duh. Gold is not overvalued. The dollar is weak.
- Pedestrian101, on 03/25/2008, -4/+36Politicians know what to do about the economy? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL .
- HealthyElijah, on 03/25/2008, -2/+33Ron Paul got censored by the Mainstream Media, now we have no one.
- Diderotten, on 03/25/2008, -3/+34I love how everybody cries 'change', but goes to obama. RP has the platform of reform, and nobody seems to get it. He hasn't done anything wrong, but everyone avoids him like the plague. He's a good man, and candidate. If everyone on digg would just take their head out of CNN's ass they would see that.
- HealthyElijah, on 03/25/2008, -1/+32"*Former candidate" - That is what the MSM wants you to believe. Funny how the MSM picks candidates and tells you which ones have dropped out. Ron Paul has never dropped out. The MSM has done their job and made you believe that though.
Don't trust the MSM. If they can superficially make a presidential candidate "dropout" in the minds of millions of Americans what else can they do? - inactive, on 03/25/2008, -9/+40funny thing, I haven't seen 1 McCain bumper sticker - the most bumper stickers I see are either Obama... or PAUL!... it must be a conspiracy.
- skyshock1, on 03/25/2008, -2/+32I'm writing him in when I cast my '08 ballot no matter if he gets the GOP nod or not.
- wanderlander, on 03/25/2008, -2/+31Revolution?
- HealthyElijah, on 03/25/2008, -6/+34Ron Paul was censored by the mainstream media. End of Story!
- omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 03/25/2008, -5/+30First things first, if the economy crashes, CNN and Fox News need to go down with it. They are not helping things one goddamn bit by sucking the Bush administration's and GOP's teet.
Second of all, GET THE ***** OUT OF IRAQ ALREADY!! THIS IS THE MAIN REASON WE'RE GOING BROKE, *****! - ryenski, on 03/25/2008, -1/+25I want a president who understands the Constitution.
- heypetray, on 03/25/2008, -8/+32Economy Crisis != Ron Paul (But it's nice to know when we hit bottom that there was a name that could have prevented it)
- JustDino, on 03/25/2008, -2/+23They can not talk about what they are a party to---Banker greed at the expense of the American Tax payer. They have no plan for American freedom---only Ron Paul offers the cure--abolish the fraudulent Federal Reserve system and IRS implementation by force. These banker pets will destroy any freedoms you may not have already lost. Scum bags who have no intent to follow their sworn oath of office.
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -1/+22The bury brigade must be pissed right now.
- HigherLogic, on 03/25/2008, -0/+21RP does.
- Dash-2, on 03/25/2008, -1/+21There is nothing else to do. If someone offers a solution, they will get dugg down. The only thing that can and WILL happen, unfortuantly, is the "I told you so" situation.
- GhostyBoy, on 03/25/2008, -7/+27Gold and silver are dipping now if anyone wants to protect their cash...
- bbsstones, on 03/25/2008, -3/+23The people did not hear his message. His name recognition was low at the beginning of the race, and is still low. Most people who see his views without their being filtered through newscasters' opinions like them. Sadly, the only place that can happen is the Internet.
- skyshock1, on 03/25/2008, -0/+20There's ALWAYS the write-in option.
- Peko, on 03/25/2008, -1/+21Being 'anti Israel' does not require antisemitism.
- rficwizard, on 03/25/2008, -5/+24What's the point in being able to say "I told you so"? The goal should be to show people how the current system is broken, and how it can be fixed. Paul's message of "Freedom, Peace, and Prosperity" is a good message, but it is useless if it doesn't lead to a change in the system. If you fail to convince someone, the error is yours, not theirs.
- Arcueid01, on 03/25/2008, -2/+20Cash you are so correct here dude! Ron Paul is the only one that ran that deserves to be the next president. He talks about issues and doesn't talk ***** about other candidates. Like all previous elections this has turned into a ***** storm focusing on everything but the issues. So sad!
- Artimusbill, on 03/25/2008, -1/+18Unfortunately, you are probably correct. And THAT will dig (digg?) us into an even deeper hole. None of the candidates will address the issue, because none of them are willing to do what it takes to fix it. Our big, out of control government is the problem, and more, bigger government is not the answer. I say fire each and every one of them. They are all part of the problem, and none are capable, or willing to take the steps required to fix it. We cannot borrow and spend our way to prosperity ( as a nation, nor as individuals ).
- Shiftgood, on 03/25/2008, -3/+20See my fear is that Mc Cain and his experience aka corruption are just going to keep this republican robbery of america barreling out of control untill only the top 2 percent can live in neighborhoods with large iron spiky gates around them while the rest of us stand in bread lines.
- kemp34, on 03/25/2008, -1/+18The American system (media, political establishment, government, people in debt, corporate interests) do not want to deal in economic reality. Only those who care about really tackling issues head on want to talk real. Most mainstream candidate supporters are willfully ignorant and, hence, our country is rapidly deteriorating. It is amazing to watch such denial manifest itself. Prudence is advised.
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -1/+18Be patient, the Mainstream media will have a difficult time once again ignoring Dr. Paul's upcoming book when it hits the shelves next month and everybody goes and buys it up. By then, the 3 stooges will have dug their own graves by trying to outstooge each other.
- gcsmit6, on 03/25/2008, -1/+18As long as Ron Paul is still spreading the word, I cannot live with myself voting for anyone else. It's too bad the we have to hit the very rock bottom till we realize he's not as crazy as the media says he is. BAAAAAAHHH!!! (GET A ***** CLUE!)
- NightVortez, on 03/25/2008, -5/+22How is this spam?
- Arcueid01, on 03/25/2008, -1/+17I am just bummed that Ron Paul is 72. I wish he was younger because everyone will be wishing he got elected 4 years from now. The one promising thing we have going for us is that Rand Paul is equally as brilliant as Dr. Paul. I posted a wonderful article about him speaking you guys really should check it out. He explains Ron's positions really well!
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/The_best_summary ... - dselliott, on 03/25/2008, -0/+15Collapse is coming, regardless of what these lightweights " debate. What a debacle.
- openj, on 03/25/2008, -3/+18No, not a revolution specifically, just an outright refusal to be kidnapped for choosing not to pay into a system which is designed specifically to bankrupt and enslave you through debt. You have the right as a human being to refuse to be robbed by a criminal organization which masquerades as a government agency. Anyone who attempts to kidnap or imprison you for standing on that right may be dealt with using any force necessary, as they are clearly in the wrong. The revolution itself won't likely be violent, but it will see the USA detatched completely from the Federal Reserve and will also probably see the elimination of all so-called "national debt." http://www.openjesus.org/2008/the-revolution/
- pianomahnn, on 03/25/2008, -1/+16The people are idiots. They elected Bush. Twice. I don't think anyone expected it to work the first time through. Change takes time, and more than a single election cycle.
- colonelbuckshot, on 03/25/2008, -6/+21Do you bury the Obama spam too?
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -2/+17And who's fault is that? Have some fiscal restraint and self discipline.
- xerigen, on 03/25/2008, -1/+16B..b..but Obama stopped smoking and generalized old white people! And Hillary lied about her trip to Bosnia! Who cares about the economy?!
