The pending defeat of the U.S. military in Iraq and the embarrassing failures of the g.w. bush administration have set off a chain of events around the world. The world laughs and no longer fears the USA..just look at europe's attitude when bush crawls back and begs for help, they brush him off like nothing.North korea does the same, the say "screw you, we will do as we please" adn are now building nukes. The latest news is that Russia and Iran have signed a deal over nuclear fuel....thats basically both countries simultaneously saying " screw you" to bush and his crooked administration. Sooner or later, all of this will catch up to the USA, no empire lasts forever. Bush sheep, YOU are the laughing stock of the ENTIRE world...it was all so obvious right under your noses, yet your blind ignorance brought down the worlds sole super power....you are not only the laughing stock now but will be the laughing stock in history books for centuries to come. Future historians will ponder how this was so....and every text book will show that chimp face with that evil, snobby grin on it....future pupils will nod their head in disbelief and pity.
Never forget who supported this failure, don't let them distance themselves from him. Whining about Libs and Dems and Clinton and Kerry and gay sex, while offering nothing of substance - and most notably - no defense for the lying little sack of ***** from Texas they shackled us with!
America's enemy is the idiot who IGNORES that Bush lied to us about Iraq, IGNORED that Bush defends treason, IGNORES that Bush was asleep at the wheel on 9/11, IGNORES that Bush had already blundered our war effort in Iraq, IGNORES that Bush still tries to link Iraq and 911, IGNORES that Bush was going to run amok with our Constitution, IGNORES his continued policy that fuels extremist groups and floods intelligence agencies with "false positives" from illegal wiretapping operations—among other things and still voted to re-elect this miserable failure.
The enemy from within has perpetuated this death and devastation. Don't forget it.
It is because of a bush voter that the country is in the atrocious position it is in today. - zovres, on 11/09/2007, -8/+47the ship keeps sinking and the sheep keep ignoring, drive your hummers while you can jackasses.
- DiggMasterJ, on 11/09/2007, -4/+28Ron Paul, is that you?
- xstnothing, on 11/09/2007, -18/+41We need to abolish the Fed and the IRS, put ourselves back on the gold standard and take back the value of our money.
- Grumps, on 11/09/2007, -1/+20Government is going to ignore this. Whats economic war? Theres on War on Terrorism in their dictating-tionary.
- Tenlow, on 11/09/2007, -0/+17The cake is a lie.
- ronar, on 11/09/2007, -3/+19It's a bad idea to be on a gold standard if the economy is having trade deficits. Every good imported would mean gold leaving the country, shrinking the remaining money supply, creating deflation. If you want an economic disaster go ahead.
- OHiggins, on 11/08/2007, -1/+16try a more original joke next time
- Sagags, on 11/08/2007, -4/+18yes the US controls the world and we overpower everyone else, the rest of the world fears US and are not worthy.
/sarcasm - roodammy44, on 11/08/2007, -6/+19Al *didn't* lose fair and square. He won the election
- staticneuron, on 11/08/2007, -1/+11I really get uneasy when I think about how many people think our world is going to end and probably welcome that idea.
- YuriSakazaki, on 11/09/2007, -3/+13I'll probably be in Alberta within the next couple years, anyway. Get out while you can, at least until things cool down.
- ReturnToFreedom, on 11/09/2007, -1/+10Osama Bin Laden wanted to destabilize the US economy by drawing us into a prolonged war and make us lose our reputation all over the world. The Bush Presidency has been an exercise into how evil this country can get while convincing the people it's moral and just. We've turned into a bunch of pussies, so scared of the big bad cave dwellers that we're sacrificing civil rights left and right.
Osama Bin Laden, you're winning you bastard. Unfortunately, you're smarter than Bush, but that isn't saying a lot. The Neocons are getting their elitist asses tossed out of the White House. Let's see how well you do against someone who wouldn't be stupid enough to steer this country into wars that benefit your cause. - Alphab, on 11/08/2007, -1/+10Yeah you're right, the US way of ignoring defeat and pointlessly keeping sending kids to their death as witnessed in Vietnam and Irak is so much braver...
- DirtySnachez, on 11/09/2007, -0/+9Well, they didn't do it at the latest one did they ..
- Shaman760, on 11/08/2007, -0/+9Americans want change. That's why we do nothing and allow the change to occur on it's own. Of course, when we realize that it's not how we wanted it then it will be too late to fix it.
Apathy kills but who has time to think about the yucky things? There's fast food, football, and money to spend.
It's sad, really. - HappyScrappy, on 11/09/2007, -0/+9FIAT isn't capitalized unless you're talking about the car company. Don't capitalize the first letter either unless it's at the start of a sentence.
Why do gold bugs such as yourself get all excited about how bad fiat currency is when the dollar is getting whupped by the Euro? The Euro is a fiat currency too.
And stop with the stupid counterfeiting money crap. Fractional banking is nothing like counterfeiting and it's nothing like printing money to pay debts (like the Weimar Republic). Under fractional banking, money is created, but it's not created by the government and thus it isn't "printing money" to pay debts.
You already can get a credit card in a currency other than the US currency. Why not get one against the HK Dollar, which is gold backed? Why do you need Ron Paul to do this for you? - dinostabOMG, on 11/08/2007, -0/+8Surprise surprise, your stereotypes are useless. Back under the bridge with you.
- bjornski, on 11/09/2007, -0/+8The Reagan administration "won" the cold war by making Russia spend so much of its money on militarization.
It will take us down too.
When some terrorists with $500,000 and a few planes can cause the world's "most powerful" nation to spend itself to death, I'd say they've won. - mrfreeziexp, on 11/08/2007, -1/+8October 15, of next year?
- Sagags, on 11/09/2007, -5/+12are you serious?
- KingCook, on 11/08/2007, -2/+9You guys cant even secure a single city in Iraq what makes you think you can OCCUPY any country you're not the LIBERATORS you used to be
- inactive, on 11/08/2007, -0/+6No see they have a leader that took a feat called "Common sense". It must've come in a Non USA released expansion or something.
- SeethisPass, on 11/08/2007, -1/+7They can't see any real change yet Look4Truth
It's sort of like waiting for the proverbial nuke. No one really believes it is coming until its too late.
Here is how we can all know what the motives of the powerful are.
Look only at the things that those in power do, rather than give any credence to what they say. Then their goals and methods become obvious.
Their moves are pretty efficient. - TemplarCrosland, on 11/11/2007, -8/+14 Pending Defeat of US Military in Iraq????? Are you even watching the news, or are you one of those fools that believes EVERYTHING the media says is lies? Have you not heard of the great leaps we have taken lately? How about Anbar, Tikrit, or Bagdad now compared to a year ago.
The IRAQIS are taking over there own military. The same is true also in Afghanistan, I am currently sitting in the Khowst Province of Afghanistan and as a ANP (Afghan National Police) USAETT (US Army Embedded Traing Team) and even here we (US ARMY) are training these men on how to better run their own security. I say better run it because they already do run it.
And as a man who also has a degree in Medieval History I can also say that you are correct all empires fall. If you wish to avert this try getting off the couch of your mommy's basement and do something to change it. Go vote, or work for a political campaign, or even God-forbid join the Army (I did all three) and quit being a self hater, because I am shaking MY head at pity for you. - niczar, on 11/08/2007, -0/+5Measured in dollars, or in real money?
- LvsSocer, on 11/08/2007, -1/+6Whoa there. I voted for Gore and despise the nitwit currently in office, but Gore lost the election based on an agreed to system (the electoral college), whether you like the system or not.
Digg up this remark is borderline idiotic. Hating a guy who won a race doesn't make them any less the winner. - badoli, on 11/08/2007, -0/+5Hahaha... yea right, ... if it goes on like this we faggy Europeans might think of the US as just another cheap holyday resort, just like all these other cheap travel destinations.
Oh, and thanx for the cheaper videogames now. - badassninja, on 11/08/2007, -0/+5I"m sorry, but didn't "the art of war" cover this subject. Shouldn't anyone who has control of going to war or not have already read that? Was not anyone else today thinking about how they could make more money so they could convert it to eros and gold so it can be kept in a safe?
- Bhima, on 11/09/2007, -4/+9Fight!?! Why?
I picked up my family and moved to Europe years ago. Once we got our investments out of the United States we went from being wealthy on paper to extremely wealthy in reality.
I work less hours, make more money, have better healthcare, live a healthier lifestyle and spend a lot more time with my family.
My Girlfriend is happier, has a more active social life, and has gone back to University.
Our daughter is happier, doing well in school and has more friends.
The US isn't going to change course until it completely collapses. Why should I subject my family to that? Why should I live in a community accepting of racists and christian reconstructionists? Why should I live in a society in which conspicuous consumption is popular fashion and an environmental conscience is ridiculed?
I say get out and get out now. Perhaps after the recession or depression (or whatever they will call it) it will be a better place to raise a family. - inactive, on 11/08/2007, -0/+5Rich people don't become rich because they are idiots, rich people become rich because they know how money works and know how to manipulate it. What makes you think for a second these rich people are going to stay in this country when more money is found else where?
- vade79, on 11/09/2007, -0/+5I still don't see whats wrong with the gold standard, or * standard...other than it's not common anymore so we think it's stupid.
- mCanada, on 11/08/2007, -1/+6This is an excellent reply to the Ron Paul economics hysteria. I think he's great when it comes to foreign policy, but thank you sir for pointing out some of the irrationality in much of the "Paulian" logic. Here's another good article on the gold standard:
http://www.uiowa.edu/ifdebook/faq/faq_docs/gold_st ...
"However, the operation of the gold standard in reality caused many problems. When gold left a nation, the ideal balancing effect would not occur immediately. Instead, recessions and unemployment would often occur. This was because nations with a balance of payments deficit often neglected to take appropriate measures to stimulate economic growth" - inactive, on 11/09/2007, -0/+4All i keep hearing in contrast to this is that the american dollar will fall and nothing will happen. What i want these people to do right now is look at the back of there monitor/laptop/PC and look at where that was made. American dollar falls, that product becomes more expensive.
- Waiting2awake, on 11/08/2007, -0/+4 I don't think that was the message of the parents post. I think he is looking at it more on the lines of an illuminatti (sp?) take over than the end of the world with Jebus and all. You may feel it is just as silly, or worthless, but I think he is reffering to something other than the end of the world.
- Meus1, on 11/08/2007, -7/+11I read an article a month or two back covering a man who decided to leave USA and move back to his motherland, Germany. As a jew escaping the second world war and Hitler, he had experienced what is going on now before.
- merm, on 11/08/2007, -2/+6This argument is flawed. Politicians can "spend and spend" no matter what the standard is. The constant is that politicians will spend no matter what. So with a gold standard, or fiat currency you end up with economic disaster if we can't put leaders in place that can control themselves. Switching to a gold standard doesn't make people automatically accountable.
- animaniac, on 11/08/2007, -7/+11The EU has about the same GDP as the US.
- bjornski, on 11/08/2007, -0/+4So when our dollar devalues to the point where we're competing with Chinese and Indian labor, it'll finally have fallen enough, right?
You do realize that EVERY imported item will be more expensive when our dollar is worth nothing to anyone outside of our borders, right? - Waiting2awake, on 11/08/2007, -1/+5You might be right, but the last 7 years haven't shown any of this "American courage", believe me I was watching, waiting, hoping. But it didn't happen. If it didn't happen after how many deaths, lies, and spying. If it didn't happen after secret prisons, collapsed dollar and torture - Then what exactly will it take?
The economic idiocy of America today, is merely the overflow from the idiocy that is called politics. - CrackaPleeze, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3People who voted for bush, as well as people who didn't vote. Let's not forget how horrible apathy can be...
aww, ***** it, i'm gonna go play Catan on 360. - roodammy44, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3Because what's good for rich people is good for everyone.......................................
/sarcasm - bjornski, on 11/08/2007, -1/+4As long as they broadcast the football games and American Idol in the prison camps, Americans will be too complacent to care.
- Egoist, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3There isn't enough gold in all of the world to support an economy of our size.
- saigumi, on 11/09/2007, -2/+5GTFO.. let those of us who care about America try to fix it.
Rats leave the sinking ship first. - Sapulator, on 11/09/2007, -1/+4While i agree with most of what you said, dildoolielly, and while I agree that a misinformed citizen is a dangerous one, You can't put all the blame on a "bush voter" or even on the president himself. (No doubt he is a terrible person) - Rather, we are all to blame for allowing this atrocity to occur under our noses, and for being asleep for far too long. The problem started before we were all born in fact - I would say that the problems began sometime around 1913, when our nation decided to start taking their citizens' income in order to fund wars, and to print money out of thin air. Even though it was almost 100 years ago, THAT was the beginning of the end for our constitution, and the founding fathers' dream of a free land.
So when you see all these problems happening now, please remember- this nation wasn't flawless in 2000 and then all of a sudden BAM! it fell to *****....no, it's been hurting, and only now has the snowball started getting bigger and rolling faster. - inactive, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3WE RECAPTURED FALLUJAH FOR 5TH TIME!
We gonna set a record recapturing it for the 7th time. And then we will recapture Mosul, Baghdad airport and the palace hotel. Following which we will recapture Najaf, Karbala and Fallujah!
-George WMD Bush
You're living in a fantasy world Corkey, where countless deaths in Iraq are the invention of a 'liberal' media, where the insurgency is comprised of al Qaeda operatives, who had long ago infiltrated Saddam's Iraq, and where MISSION ACCOMPLISHED was attained two years ago, and everything since then has been the advent of democracy. And they say libs are dreamers....
And if you war mongering ***** won't join up at least get training as florists to help us deal with all the flowers the iraqis are throwing us.
let's assume for a moment that every member of the American military voted for bush...that leaves roughly 60,000,000 republicans who AREN'T serving...now let's say half that number are too old or disabled to serve...that leaves 30,000,000 con's content to sit on their a$$es while our troops are extended, put on stop-loss or re-called to duty...30,000,000 who either DON"T support their president and his war for oil or are too COWADRLY to serve...that's pretty pathetic
and btw, ac1bd USN retired 77-99 and never missed a flight physical, so save all thet "what have you done for your country" crap for somebody else - Waiting2awake, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3and who would that be?
Just as a thought though - maybe what happened had less to do with OBL and more to do with gaining market share, maximising profits, accusitions of new resources, etc... I think OBL was just the distraction for the masses to focus on so they don't start thinking things through. - karlkrak, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3ugh, alberta. the most american of provinces
