The question is what you and I do as individuals now that Government no longer is relevant and the rule of law no longer applies. When force becomes what decides who wins and who loses decisions and outcomes become arbitrary. It's best to get out of the way and to seek to work outside the collapsing system with other like minded persons. Time to reach out not just to touch someone, but to find each other.

Well guys, welcome to the tin foil hattery called reality... it is sad that YEARS had to go by before this "conspiracy" came to light. - revjustin2, on 07/08/2008, -13/+43I have to admit that I am pretty sure that I won't be doing anything about it. It's not because I'm a sheep or unaware or have ANY love for our government. But at the end of the day, the government is pretty much nothing more than a bureaucratic inconvenience for me. They simply present small hoops that I need to jump through to get things done. My personal expression has not been hindered(yet), my freedom of movement has not been hindered(yet), and since I have no interest in ever firing a gun to solve my problems, I am not really feeling any pressure there either. I know that the grand point here is that freedoms are being encroached upon more and more and that the gov't is positioning itself to be Big Brother, but that all being said, I have difficulty making a lot of effort "doing anything about it" right now since I don't feel any immediate threat. I am not seeing any writing on the wall that says that this is going to change much soon either. Infowars.com, it's adherents, and like-minded folks everywhere make many excellent points about people who are abusing their power and how we are inching closer to a police state every day, but I would like to stress that to my eyes (and I AM looking) it is still very much inching. There is a lot more to this country than those things over which the gov't holds sway. Our hearts and minds, for example. My priorities are oriented towards needs that are much more immediate. I have a family to care for and a life to enjoy before I die. The counter point to this, of course, is that I am being short-sighted. If I had any interest in the long-term well being of my family, I'd work now to ensure it for the future. To this I say, I already do this. I work 40+ hours a week making money to put food on my table, educate my children, and make sure that they are comfortable and happy.. I have no love for "the man", but I knowingly signed up for his payment plan, so I am seeing this one out until a better opportunity presents itself. It's hard for me to come out and just say that, but I feel that stating otherwise would be a lie. I truly believe that I have a pretty good deal regardless of the ***** who call themselves a government. I am interested in protecting freedoms, but I just don't feel that the time is neigh to take to the streets and start shooting things. Rather, I will continue to speak my mind, vote, and remain aware of the ever-changing world.
That all being said, this kind of behavior from a president is embarrassing and lacks every possible thread of self-respect.
