- inactive, on 11/08/2007, -15/+467***** pigs needs to have their toys taken away if they can't learn to play with them properly
- bratpack8, on 11/08/2007, -5/+304Here's the deal, after ridiculous taser situations, these cops should have to be tasered in a public square.
- sivsta, on 11/08/2007, -2/+278what the hell is with cops nowadays. They see something twitch, they taser it.
- emecee, on 11/08/2007, -2/+168taser section..
- inactive, on 11/07/2007, -0/+137Maybe it's something in the donuts.
- getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -6/+134Don't wake me, bro!!!
- thechr0nic, on 11/07/2007, -13/+135this (if the story is actually true) is an outrageous abuse.
However, I will take a calculated pause to wait for other sides of the story before becoming completely irate about this. - Feener, on 11/07/2007, -1/+116Why not tap him and say 'Wake up Sir'
- inactive, on 11/07/2007, -9/+101As long as we continue to allow this to happen, it will. It will also get worse since incrementalism is the tool being used against us. Should I be tasered in a similar situation, they better hope they keep the juice on long enough to prevent me from introducing them to the .357 magnum I keep by me at all times.
People, we have got to put an end to this! We are not chattel! WE run this country. Read the US Constitution! 95% of the laws on the "books" are unConstitutional yet enforced as though the Constitution is nothing more than a goddamned piece of paper. Everyone remembers the bully when they were younger. As long as you let him push you around, he did so and got worse with time. If you popped him hard enough to make him bleed, he left you alone from then on. Funny thing is our FF did the same with tyrannical English rule. Apparently we have become a society that is so dependent on the State, we'll let it ***** us over as long as we get thrown the scraps.
We as a people would be branded with one word from our FF - PATHETIC. - HunterTV, on 11/05/2007, -1/+86Yeah, and we're all twitching because the ***** keep tasing us.
- Smight, on 11/07/2007, -2/+86The new miranda rights are as follows:
You have the right to be tasered.
Anything you say or do will be used to justify tasering you in a court of law.
You have the right consult an attorney regarding the use of tasers.
If you cannot afford an attorney, 50,000 volts will be applied to you until we run out of charge. - dunderballer, on 11/07/2007, -0/+83The advantage to tasering people sleeping in their homes is ya know it won't end up on YouTube.
- mrblue182, on 11/07/2007, -0/+63"Hicks' attorney says he will pursue civil action."
as he damn well should be - latrosicarius, on 11/06/2007, -11/+68I am all for allowing cops to use tasers. It means that both the cops and the people they take into custody are statistically much less severely injured than if they have to use other force application methods like night sticks or body tackling.
But they need to be trained on not only how to use their devices, but also how to use them PROPERLY and RESPONSIBLY. If they cannot do that, they do not deserve to be cops. - Haphazardness, on 11/07/2007, -3/+55Who the hell would taser someone sleeping? Wouldn't be easier just to handcuff him while he was still?
- tuxidomasx, on 11/07/2007, -2/+48geez everybody's getting tasered by cops nowadays
i kinda feel left out :( - Dokument, on 11/07/2007, -3/+48cause he might taze you first!
dont u know the new police motto "Citi-zens, gotta taze 'em all!" - theradical, on 11/06/2007, -1/+46if two police officers went into a man's home and shot him dead you better believe they would be charged. there is some nonsense backwards conception that just because tasers are not used to kill or seriously injure a person that they are ok to use liberally and without consequence. It is just plain ***** wrong.
- pintomp3, on 11/05/2007, -1/+40clearly the training isn't working. perhaps we need refresher courses in which the tasering lasts a bit longer. maybe let the person they tasered taser them.
- mattsw84, on 11/07/2007, -3/+41He was snoring.
- Smight, on 11/05/2007, -0/+35it's usually frowned upon to shoot someone in their sleep.
- an0nymous, on 11/07/2007, -0/+34like tasering the sleeping!
Totally necessary, no beter way the could have handled it!
yup yup yup. - inactive, on 11/07/2007, -22/+55Can't we ban the ***** tasers?
- johnmalcom213, on 11/06/2007, -2/+31I love how cops always say "we have a tough job" like that justifies everything they do. Traffic tickets, drug possesion, brutality, and the list continues. I'm more afraid of police than criminals
- doctorfungi, on 11/05/2007, -6/+35Most of them get tazered/pepper sprayed before they're allowed to carry the weapons on patrol. It's part of their training. It was for the cops I know anyway.
- theradical, on 11/05/2007, -0/+28They should have to be tasered each time they use it on someone else, not just once in a controlled environment.
- DivisibleByZero, on 11/05/2007, -3/+30Statistically speaking, just going ahead and tasering everybody in their sleep would be much safer than doing it while they were standing up...
- sirbeta, on 11/05/2007, -1/+27Yes because we're supposed to just lay down an accept being tased for no reason in our own homes, not make a stink about it and go on with our lives as if nothing happened. There was no reason to do this to the man; he was sleeping. I would consider that an opportunity to apprehend him easily for questioning.
- TriZz, on 11/05/2007, -3/+25I'm telling you...tasers are the new 'billy stick'. Except this time, it's happening to white people.
- latrosicarius, on 11/05/2007, -5/+27Yeah, like that will solve the problem.... I bet you're one of those people who think that guns kill people on their own.
It's the USER of the devices who is being irresponsible. It's the USER who think they are above the law. It's the COPS that think they can get away with anything.
This is not a taser issue. These stories did not start with tasers. Have you ever heard of "nightsticks", "pepper spray", or "police brutality"? - IsmailOo, on 11/07/2007, -8/+30seriously, this whole taser ***** is nuts... theres no reason for them, cops are trained in hand to hand combat, theres no reasons for the cops to electrocute any one, they could hear problems or something... and end up dying. At my school, there was a fight, now see... the cop went in to stop the fight, the kids where not big at all, but instead of body slamming or even trying to do anything to stop the kids from fighting, he ***** tased them... now see cops are using there tasers way to freely, they act as if it has not repercussions on the person they tasing, they act asif its a ***** toy... i mean come on its ***** 50000 Volts, now I'm not doctor... but thats defently not good for a 15 year olds body... ***** I hate them, and there are ***** 4 cops at my school and that ***** face had to shoot the kids.. heh sorry for the rant, but ***** cops think there tools are ***** toys... i dont think any cops should carry tasers unless they are riot control cops or swat team, but school cops.. no way.
- williamdyer, on 11/05/2007, -4/+25If the majority of cops were good and honest, they would have gotten rid of the vst number of corrupt, thuggish, incompetent, 'roid-crazed pigs.
There are some good cops. But they are not in the majority. - chronichyjinx, on 11/06/2007, -1/+22haha even your name is in caps.
http://www.fisherprice.com - zachshmack, on 11/06/2007, -1/+21I'm not completely anti-taser, but I don't understand why they tasered him a second time after he woke up and showed ID. Something has to be missing from this story.
- chitoiup, on 11/07/2007, -2/+22I have to say it: What the *****???
- Yage2006, on 11/05/2007, -4/+24I guess being stupid retards and evil natured are requirements for law enforcement now.
- DaSuHouSe, on 11/05/2007, -0/+19What happened to cuffing the bad guys? And don't tell me you cant cuff a guy who's sleeping.
- Mitijea, on 11/07/2007, -1/+20With that logic, they should taser you the second they walk up to the window after pulling you over.
- Kr4t05, on 11/05/2007, -1/+20As are the words "Ubuntu" and "Apple."
Hrm...
"Ubuntu builds world's first OpenSource Taser. Apple disapproves."
Digg would implode, methinks. - inactive, on 08/11/2008, -4/+23Some idiot cop tased a girl in my school for trying to attack another girl. For christ's sake, what kind of stupid pig isn't strong enough to break up a chick fight?
- alx1507, on 11/06/2007, -4/+23"Real life situation #3, Your mugger is asleep in his own bed, and he's mugging you. First thing you want to do is clime in through his windows because he probably locked his doors..."
http://youtube.com/watch?v=2REG3-Wb5gM (1:30 in to it) - SiNN4R, on 11/05/2007, -3/+22I agreed with you during the one sided view part of your statement but when I heard the vast majority part I felt obligated to bury you.
- syroncoda, on 11/07/2007, -4/+22police getting away with CRIMES? not like this is new or anything. hell, you don't even have to be federally funded in this country to get away with MURDER (blackwater being the perfect example).
Time to change the government. - FeartheKnighted, on 11/05/2007, -6/+24I agree, this is so completely ***** ridiculous that I am going to say that it's not 100% true, or it has a rather liberal amount of spin. If it is accurate though...taser those cops in the testicles. Twice.
- sumrandommember, on 11/06/2007, -1/+19How is it necessary to tazer a sleeping person?
- FalseAlarm, on 11/06/2007, -1/+19Let's hear you say that if you become a taser victim of the police.
- vuke69, on 11/05/2007, -0/+18"and they're both great people."
pffftt... You have to say that, otherwise they'll taser you while you're sleeping. - JRootabega, on 11/05/2007, -1/+18Maybe they repeated the class one too many times...
- jjesusfreak01, on 11/05/2007, -0/+17Thats funny...maybe they would think twice about it then. Obviously if they thought the person was an actual danger, then they would still use the taser even knowing they would have to then be tased. However, if the person wasnt a danger, they simply wouldnt tase them.
- rootnik, on 11/05/2007, -1/+17And risk missing their monthly tasering quota? Hell no!
