The dozens and dozens of cops?
Or the protesters sitting down?
The protesters are lucky the cops aren't beating the hell out of them and knocking their front teeth out. They like to do that in Denver, ya know. - MindyB, on 08/26/2008, -2/+4"It was believed to be the first time police used force against protesters."
First time when, on that day? Because the police have used force many many times against protesters--remember the California immigrant peaceful protest that got cut off by the police with riot gear, billy clubs and rubber bullets?! Even reporters got hit!
We keep chanting the untrue mantra that America is the only "free" country, and we act so appalled when we see police force used against protesters in other countries and are arrested, yet we have that happen right here in our backyards and very few people balk about that. Very curious and very sad. - elcalrissian, on 08/26/2008, -0/+1Its a stupid-ass way to name your cause, kinda like naming yourself 212st Century Nazis.
But I still dont agree with the way the police handled them. Did they even do anything wrong? - Minarchian, on 08/26/2008, -1/+2The riots of the 1968 Democrat Convention.
Known as a "police riot" because it was the police that escalated everything into a riot:

If they think this will be forgotten on election day in Colorado they are nuts. - inactive, on 08/26/2008, -2/+2They are going to get their asses Tasered and sprayed in St Paul also...That's what happens when you're unruly..Act like an adult and you will be fine..No one in Colorado will even remember this after the convention !!
