- charm803, on 12/20/2008, -2/+32Rove definitely had motive.
From July of 2008:
"Karl Rove has threatened a GOP high-tech guru and his wife, if he does not "'take the fall' for election fraud in Ohio," according to a letter sent this morning to Attorney General Michael Mukasey, by Ohio election attorney Cliff Arnebeck."
Apparently, Arnebeck had asked for protection and immunity from Rove.

- Hammettrucci, on 12/20/2008, -2/+27Ugh. If only it had been Rove instead.
- charm803, on 12/20/2008, -3/+27I recommend reading "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" by John Perkins.
Besides corruption, he mentions how if leaders didn't do what they wanted, they found a way to kill them off.
One being Omar Torrijos, leader of Panama, whose plane exploded while in the air.
President of Ecaudor Jaime Aguilera also died in a plane crash, and not wanting to sound like a conspiracy theorist, it does make you wonder. Both of them were targets of American interests.
I don't doubt that this was not an accident.
I realize it can be just a plane crash, purely coincidental, but then again............. - Catspaw, on 12/21/2008, -1/+23Do plane crashes seem to be a favourite MO for dispensing with threats to the power elite, or is this a coincidence?
- TeddySanFran, on 12/21/2008, -1/+22Lotsa plane crashes in Rover's past: Mel Carnahan, Paul Wellstone, Don McCoy, and now Mike Connell. Also Cliff Baxter, of course, but not in a plane.
- wjappe, on 12/21/2008, -2/+22Suspicious
- pup34, on 12/20/2008, -2/+22pub34: Mike Connell, the internet tech who knew too much.
- qubesquare, on 12/20/2008, -7/+24-Insert conspiracy theory here-
- Drakoi, on 12/21/2008, -1/+14another one bites the dust, so they've killed the D.C. madam and now this guy, who else is on there hit list?
- TeddySanFran, on 12/20/2008, -2/+13Now we will never know.
- thales11, on 12/21/2008, -2/+13On October 25, 2002, Wellstone died, along with seven others, in a plane crash in northern Minnesota, at approximately 10:22 a.m. He was 58 years old. The other victims were his wife, Sheila; one of his three children, Marcia; the two pilots, his driver, Will McLaughlin, and campaign staffers Tom Lapic and Mary McEvoy. The plane was en route to Eveleth, where Wellstone was to attend the funeral of Martin Rukavina, a steelworker whose son Tom Rukavina serves in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Wellstone decided to go to the funeral instead of a rally and fundraiser in Minneapolis attended by Mondale and fellow Senator Ted Kennedy. He was to debate Norm Coleman in Duluth, Minnesota that same night.
Wellstone burial plot, Minneapolis, MN.
The Beechcraft King Air A100 plane crashed into dense forest about two miles from the Eveleth airport, while operating under instrument flight rules. The charter plane Wellstone was traveling in had no flight data recorders. Both pilots tested negative for drug or alcohol use. Icing, though widely reported on in following days, was considered and eventually rejected as a significant factor in the crash. The Board judged that while cloud cover might have prevented the flight crew from seeing the airport, icing did not affect the airplane’s performance during the descent.[15]
The NTSB later determined that the likely cause of the accident was the failure of both the pilot and copilot to maintain a safe minimum airspeed, leading to a stall from which they could not recover

My bold
Ice was thought the cause then discarded maybe under Pressure? Failure to maintain a safe minimum air speed?
Since when do pilots don’t like to go fast unless the fuel is running out? Maybe the airspeed gage was *cough*Fixed? - prchamp, on 12/20/2008, -2/+12The people handling this case should of been more careful. Like they could of recorded his testimony or something in case he died.I'm no law expert.
- pup34, on 12/21/2008, -1/+11pup34: Thanks for the links, charm803. Anybody mixed up with the Rove/Cheney/Bush mob should never fly.
I've read 2 of John Perkins' books: Confessions of an EHM and The Secret History of the American Empire; The Truth About Economic Hit Men, Jackals, and How to Change The World. I also highly recommend them both.
Your second link reports that Connell had requested protection due to threats from Rove. - USArugula, on 12/20/2008, -3/+12Someone cut the air-brake lines.
- thales11, on 12/21/2008, -1/+10
The pneumatic boot is a rubber device attached to a wing’s leading edge, invented by the Goodrich Corporation (previously known as B.F. Goodrich) in 1923. Portions of the boot are inflated to break ice off the boot, de-icing the wing. Rubber boots are used on jets and propeller driven aircraft.
A bleed air system is used by jet aircraft to keep flight surfaces above the freezing temperature required for ice to accumulate (called anti-icing). The hot air is “bled” off the jet engine into tubes routed through wings, tail surfaces, and engine inlets.
Electrical thermal systems use electricity to heat the protected surface. The electric heaters are usually flexible enough to use as anti-icers or de-icers. As a de-icer, the heater melts the ice, the ice no longer sticks to the surface due to aerodynamic forces. As an anti-icer, the heater keeps the surface to the point that the ice does not form.
Electro-mechanical systems use a mechanical force to knock the ice off the flight surface. Typically, actuators are installed underneath the skin of the structure. The actuator is moved to induce a shock wave in the protected surface to dislodge the ice.
A weeping wing system uses a liquid (such as ethylene glycol) to coat the surface and prevent ice from accumulating.

Lots of de iceing systems did they all fail? Were they all similar? - thales11, on 12/21/2008, -1/+10

In response to Teddy Partridge @ 59 (show text)
Now we need to find Karl’s link to the airplane failure’s. Who fixes the airplanes? What companies fix the Airplanes? Did any of these crashes have anything in common? Killers like to repeat themselves after all why mess with what works? What is their connection to Rove
Nobody here doubts Rove ordered a hit. We need to figure out how. - normlsparky, on 12/21/2008, -1/+9That just saved Bush from issuing one more pardon.
- BlacklabelSAR, on 12/21/2008, -1/+9And by "respect" you mean to not look at who this is convenient for?
- normlsparky, on 12/21/2008, -0/+8It is interesting that no more has been reported on that story.
- Vaelkar, on 12/21/2008, -0/+8Note to self: never get involved in politics.
- kroses, on 12/21/2008, -1/+8This started before Rove. It started with Bush's grandfather. Bush's father (in the CIA at the time), was part of the group that assassinated JFK. They are all evil!
- JenniferInMO, on 12/21/2008, -1/+8Hopefully the prosecutor took this guy's deposition before he was killed. They might be able to use the deposition in court in lieu of his testimony.
- bjornski, on 12/21/2008, -0/+4Mechanic with a motive.
- sconnor, on 12/21/2008, -2/+6They also like to use heart attacks.
- bjornski, on 12/21/2008, -0/+4How convenient, huh?
- JenniferInMO, on 12/21/2008, -1/+5I remember that. I was living in MO and a big Mel Carnahan fan when his plane went down right before the election to the senate in 2000 (against John Ashcroft btw). When Wellstone's plane went down it was such a similar story it chilled me to the bone.
- untreadatom, on 12/21/2008, -0/+3^^^^ This guy!!! Blacklabel you make my day!
- inactive, on 12/21/2008, -0/+3just as long as you don't become a pilot
- JenniferInMO, on 12/21/2008, -1/+4Or have info on a neocon
- bjornski, on 12/21/2008, -0/+2Yeah, because everyone with a brain knows that it was some guy in a cave with half a million bucks that pulled it off.
Yup. The government said so. That proves it. - bjornski, on 12/21/2008, -1/+3When you're fighting against Republicans like Rove, you don't fly in any small planes. Ask Paul Wellstone.
- PhilPerspective, on 12/20/2008, -7/+9Republicans are the masters of conspiracy theories. Figures you want to forget the Republicans nonsense during the Clinton years.
- normlsparky, on 12/22/2008, -1/+2Thanks, I usually just pass with normal colors.
- Blinker1315, on 12/21/2008, -4/+5A man has died. How about some respect?
- mpais, on 12/21/2008, -1/+2That's what's called "reading between the lines." You pass with flying colors.
- jetphixer, on 12/23/2008, -0/+0I read on Democratic underground last eve that they are not going to stop going after rove or the chimp chump Bush. I agree this garbage politics started with Prescott bush Than old man bush now we got this jerk who sole the election.. If this country elects an other Bush it will deserve everything it gets. The Bush Family was supportive of Nazi Germany, via Prescott Bush, This was the republican party that tried everything to keep the USA out of ww2 against Germany!! I realy believe this crew is a passive type arm of the Nazi's!!
- Glynth, on 12/21/2008, -3/+1Same goes for everyone digging you and burying my reply. Despicable, vile worms, all of you.
- Glynth, on 12/21/2008, -9/+6Oh yeah, like the "conspiracy" where they said Clinton was lying under oath. Oh wait...
- Glynth, on 12/21/2008, -13/+2You are beyond despicable.... yet, this is Digg, so I'm not surprised at all.
- inactive, on 12/21/2008, -19/+2Perhaps you guys would now like to discuss your theories on 9/11, that would be a hoot.

What is Digg?
