- hawkeye17, on 10/10/2007, -5/+18The Right Wing Spin Machine springs into action ready to lie and obfuscate to the masses.
- gerbalblaste, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7WTF does the name mean?
- hiphoc, on 10/10/2007, -6/+9Ministry of truth strikes again. Death is life, war is peace, hate is love!!! Right from he Pentagon.
- eth3l, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Buried for abyssmal headline. WTF does that mean?
- corvin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Here's the thing. The troops are going to stay in Iraq no matter what; at least during bush's final term.
If the report is good, which it probably will be, Bush will say " See we're just beginning to make progress! We can't leave now!"
And if it's bad, Bush will say "Violence is taken off because they're finally losing" and "We need even more time to see the effects of this strategy." - Shorties, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2No its: War is peace, Freedom is slavery, Ignorance is strength
- AntBing, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2How about you hear what the General has to say before you start the Digg spin machine. I'm not a fan of Bush or this war but I won't take some political windbags word about how the war is going either. Let the military fight and the politicians do what they do best... ***** the American people.
- Vermifax, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Wallace's gratitude for his "anal pleasures" was deeply expressed with a shotgun, pliers and a blow torch.
On second thought, he was NOT enjoying it. - RuffRidr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I seem to remember 109 of you for it. Remember? Or do they all get a free pass?
- Delphium226, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yep, you must be tired of it blowing up in your face eh? Pity you're too stupid to repent, like all the other Bush fanboys have, and see the error of your ways.
- hittnrun, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The liberal's obsession with Fox News lets the rest of us know they are doing a great job. Same goes for this President.
I seem to remember people calling CNN the "Clinton News Network" back in the day.
I've got a great idea. When General Patraeus speaks, have someone write down his words and then it will be on paper for you.
If you think the country is so fvcked up, why don't you leave and find a country that's more to your liking? - Shorties, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1No matter what your opinion is on the war on bush I hope to god you think fox news is pathetic as well, there has never been such a well oiled propaganda machine in the history of this country. And don't forget the fact that General Petraues was originally going to write a report is now just going to speak to congress, a pretty good implication that things are not going as well as they hoped. I just hope you see how ***** up this country has become thanks to President Bush.
- hittnrun, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2I think the attempt by the anti-war left to undermine a man, like Petraeus, is pathetic. Hope it blows up in your faces.
- Vermifax, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1It's like the Bush is Zed, Cheney is Maynard, Hannity is the Gimp, I'm Marsellus Wallace and we're the basement of that *****-up pawn shop!
C'mon, Butch! Where are ya...!? - jambox, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Yes but if the "Commander-in-Chief" gives the army an impossible job to do and the heads of the army aren't allowed to say so, then the blame comes back to the President.
- Delphium226, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Expect the report to be the setup for a long term North Korea style deployment.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1That would make sense if the Bush adminstration hadn't politicized the occupation.
They use it as a PR piece, anytime they need to distract people.
But hey, that's for thinkers. Go back to watching Fox. - jambox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Well that's the trouble with Bush - he's so badly tainted by all the lying and cheating, that anyone associated with him is likely to be mistrusted. I doubt that this report just came off Petraeus' desk anyway, the whole thing is so heavily politicized that I'd be surprised if he even wrote it himself.
- jambox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0It means Petraeus is taking the blame for it not working. The surge wasn't his idea (no really, it wasn't) but he'll say what a great idea it was, if he knows what's good for him.
- rationalthinker, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1hmmm... let me see. I can either take the advice of the Generals in the field or some puke - comfortable in Moms basement, sitting behind a computer screen posting an article... hmmm.. tough call... I guess I'll have to err on the side of common sense and side with the Generals who are actually there. For some reason, the turd posting this article doesn't quite have the same level of integrity as a General who has spent his life in honor of his country.
- jambox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0I don't blame Petraeus at all. I think it's all Bush's fault for starting this stupid, doomed war. And Rumsfeld for screwing it up. Oh and Cheney for making money off all of it.
- jambox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0It always seemed to me that Marsellus Wallace was enjoying it, just a little.
- jambox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0A real shame that someone like Petraeus, who I'm sure is an excellent general, gets thrust into the spotlight to take attention away from those with the real power. If the surge doesn't work, whose fault is it?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2WTF? The left didn't make George Bush and his lackey Petraeus ***** up. Iraq is the right wing's disaster. We were against it. Remember?
- boobees, on 10/10/2007, -5/+3These stall tactics are getting deeesperate. I wonder what happens next? TOMORROWS THE ANNIVERSARY!!!!! HOOORAAAY!
I just hope nobody gets hurt in the next hot minute. Enough people have died already for the neocon dream.
IMPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2F*ck the republicans. They can go straight to hell.
