Petraeus ‘Softened’ Intelligence Community’s Judgments About Iraq Violence

General Petraeus was in charge of training and equipping those forces in 2004 and 2005 General Petreaus himself has been at pains to play down any such possibilities, instead concentrating on spurious fables about hundreds of millions of dollars worth of equipment weighing hundreds of tons being "kicked out of helicopters" in the rush to arm the Iraqi security forces.
Yeah I trust this general who takes such a 'wide stance' on government waste and corruption.
