The Lord is a poopyhead.

/guess no one is home - inactive, on 12/11/2008, -3/+8Pelosi is a moron of gigantic proportions. Two faced as any one person can be and about as much 'christian' as the Festivus crowd in Washington state.
For some one that only works 32 weeks out of the year and flies round trip from S.F. to D.C. twice a week on a HUGE private jet (at tax payer expense) she has no support from me even if this was a 'real' mugging. - inactive, on 12/12/2008, -1/+6You have said 'The Lord will NOT be mocked' a few times when he is being mocked. That does not make a bit of sense.
Pelosi needs to be slapped for turning her back on those that elected her by taking impeachment off the table two years ago. - eliot2000, on 12/11/2008, -1/+6Oh, come ON.
Do you, Mister Pit of Doom, actually believe that we liberals, democrat voters, the Rotary club, and SubClub members, basically over half the country, seek to "vanquish CHRIST"?
Seriously?
How exactly, does one even attempt to vanquish Christ? Personally, I doubt it would even be possible, but you may not share my deep abiding faith in the power of our Lord and Savior.
You sound like a hysterical shrieking old woman who needs to lie down and take a nap. - eliot2000, on 12/11/2008, -1/+5When is this going to happen? Take your best guess, I should stock up on whatever one needs for a cattle call.
- Suricou, on 12/11/2008, -1/+5I think you missed the point. Just the fact that all those things happened indicates that Christianity is a favored religion, not oppressed.
- drachemorder, on 12/11/2008, -5/+8Even a blind hog eventually finds an acorn.
- nicegeek, on 12/12/2008, -1/+4I see it's time to take out the trash again. Buried.
- PennFarmer, on 12/11/2008, -4/+7I will give her credit for calling it Christmas. I am willing to appreciate the things done by those in Congress that I agree with, even though I may agree with them on nothing else (as is the case with Pelosi). Props to her for getting at least one thing right.
- inactive, on 12/12/2008, -0/+3"Pelosi needs to be slapped..."
"'uphold women's rights'"
Love me some misogyny especially when it comes from a right wing woman like USNavyBlue.
Tell me USNB, are you conflicted? You want to speak out, yet you don't want to overstep the boundaries imposed on you by your religion / political views. Or do you just put that out of your head and talk when only the men should be talking religion and politics be damned! - Suricou, on 12/11/2008, -5/+8So, Pelosi *claims* she was mugged once for saying 'Christ' too loudly? And our source for this is WorldNutDaily, a site with news often indistinguishable from satire?
Yet, somehow, in a world where christians are being savagely attacked for their faith... the Christmas celebration was still held on public property, with tax money, singing Christian songs, to music played by the US air force, with a public thanking of God, and with a Christian reverend as a VIP?
Who are the four idiots who dugg this? I want to know, so I can check every comment they make and see what needs burying. There *IS NO WAR ON CHRISTMAS*, no matter what the WND claims. - inactive, on 12/12/2008, -0/+3I'll bite ... again ... on this tangent.
The Christian God didn't give his only begotten son, he lent him. Jesus, according to christian mythology, ascended to heaven to be with God (and btw is, confusingly, one and the same as God, but somehow not the same at the same time). So what did God lose? If someone were to say to me that you could make sure everyone on earth went to heaven (assuming it exists) when they died by sending your son off to die, that would be a sacrifice. I don't know if there is a heaven, I wouldn't know for sure if what I was being told was the truth, I wouldn't know if I would ever see my son again.
But God, according to the mythology, resides in heaven, he is the creator of truth, and he knew for a fact that he would see "his son" again once he was born and ultimately (according to the Christian mythology) crucified.
How is that giving anyone anything? Can one of the religious people in here please explain that to me? - SlayerSyrena, on 12/11/2008, -4/+6The reverend thanked her for keeping 'Christ' in Christmas but she never mentioned Christ... I read that she mentioned 'god'. Which god is she referring to? From her actions, she seems to put her trust in, and expect others to put their trust in, the government alone.
- regoodwin, on 12/11/2008, -3/+5Pelosi needs to be mugged for being an IDIOT.
- inactive, on 12/12/2008, -0/+2"He gave him as a sacrifice for our sins (atonement). Not to lose forever, but if Christ was gone and not at the right hand of God. We would not have a savior."
It was a symbolic sacrifice, then. If it was only symbolic, why even require it? Why is God himself unable to be the savior of humans according to Christian mythology? I thought God was all powerful. Why does he require Jesus?
"Please read this also - Jer 31:31-34 '...I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts...'"
I think you misunderstood (or didn't read fully) the point I was making.
"It gives us exactly what we need, a perfect intercessor. We (you or me) can't come to God on our own. He is perfect and Holy and this may come as a shock, but we are not. Christ bridges the gap and petitions on our behalf, if we have faith that He is our savior."
That's just it, why should God require an intercessor? Why can't we come to God on our own? What is it about the Christian god that won't allow him to interface directly with those who are not perfect beings? Why should it require some kind of extraneous being to petition on our behalf. This is a particularly confusing idea when you consider that, if I'm not mistaken, according to the mythology, the Christian god was the one who decided to send Christ in the first place. Why require that step? Why not just allow direct interface?
I believe that suricou was referring to the human sacrifice of Christ on the cross. Why would God require that his son in human form be sent to such a gruesome death so that humans can be redeemed for sins that God himself defined? Why would it be referred to in such pagan terms like "redeemed in the blood of the lamb?"
Sorry, but your answers have confused me more. - cnsrvatv, on 12/11/2008, -5/+7Christmas tree at the Capitol? I thought it was a holiday tree.
- Suricou, on 12/12/2008, -0/+2You could also ask why the all-powerful trancendant creator of the universe isn't able to forgive anyone without a human scarifice.
- inactive, on 12/12/2008, -0/+2You do know that those who aren't Christians don't believe in Satan either right?
- eliot2000, on 12/12/2008, -0/+2@feathered:
We're all in this together. If there's anything I took away from my reading of the Bible it's that nobody is "the scourge of the earth." Who did Jesus shun?
Nobody is wild about abortion, but look at where we are after 8 years of the most "pro-life" president we've ever had, or are likely to have- abortions are up slightly. Furthermore, Bush appointed a Chief Justice to the supreme court who said:
"Roe v. Wade is the settled law of the land. There's nothing in my personal views that would prevent me from fully and faithfully applying that precedent." -John Roberts 6-19-05
You know why, once the Republicans had both houses and the courts and judicial appointments, they still did nothing about abortion, something they've been promising for decades? Because you wouldn't have a reason to vote for them anymore.
As a Christian, would you vote to screw the working class, start wars, keep kids without health care, and favor corporations over people? I'd hope not. But you do, again and again, because of 2 things: gay marriage and abortion. They're never going away because it's the carrot that keeps the evangelical right in line. You're being used. - these3remain, on 12/11/2008, -4/+6LOL! How about an ACORN?!
- inactive, on 12/13/2008, -0/+1Fiction isn't necessarily a lie and it isn't necessarily the truth.
- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -0/+1That's like saying that I should go find lies told by Holden Caufield in the Catcher in the Rye. It's a work of fiction, the things he said can't be lies since they were never meant to be the truth.
- inactive, on 12/13/2008, -0/+1Go find his fictional lies that might not necessarily be the truth !
Let's put some teeth into this ! - inactive, on 12/12/2008, -0/+1All the words spoken by Christ can be read in one day.
Come back and show me a lie !

I love arguing religion :-D - inactive, on 12/15/2008, -0/+1So, you need to start with the basics.
What's your definition of TRUTH ? - inactive, on 12/12/2008, -1/+2I call BS on the entire story. World Net Daily is far from being a factual or fair reporting organization. They have a motive to post a lie about Pelosi and about liberals and atheists. Until this is corroborated in another, unbiased news source or right from Pelosi's own mouth to my ear, I believe this to be completely fake.
- 4rp4n3t, on 12/12/2008, -0/+1Never ! Trust anyone ! Who overuses ! Exclamation marks ! To ! Such ! An ! Extent ! And for some odd reason ! Insists on putting a space between the last letter of the exclamation and the mark? For it *surly* [sic] demonstrates! PSYCHOSIS! And IDIOCY!
- inactive, on 12/12/2008, -1/+1The reverse is more true for democrats that call themselves Christians !
Better to plea to your maker that you fought for not against life ! - inactive, on 12/11/2008, -3/+4Well, your level of "tolerance" is mighty thin !
Might I remind (teach) you that the Lord GOD Almighty is NOT nor his WORD nor Spirit are religious !

- Tookson, on 12/12/2008, -0/+0Boy, your personal insults are brilliant. I'm intimidated by your vast intellectual showing.
- cnsrvatv, on 12/12/2008, -1/+0First off, please read Hebrews 10:1-29, it should answer most of your questions ( when you read His word, it has a more profound effect)
"God didn't give His...He lent him... so what did God lose?"
He gave him as a sacrifice for our sins (atonement). Not to lose forever, but if Christ was gone and not at the right hand of God. We would not have a savior.
"I wouldn't know for sure if what I was being told was the truth"
Please read this also - Jer 31:31-34 "...I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts..."
"How is that giving anyone anything"
It gives us exactly what we need, a perfect intercessor. We (you or me) can't come to God on our own. He is perfect and Holy and this may come as a shock, but we are not. Christ bridges the gap and petitions on our behalf, if we have faith that He is our savior.
@suricou
I'm not aware of any human sacrifices required by God? - Suricou, on 12/11/2008, -4/+2But was she calling it christmas out of habbit, out of religion, or out of political expedience? A public show of religion is a sure vote-winner, espicially with so many people worked up over this invented 'war on christmas.'
- Christianptriot, on 12/11/2008, -4/+3I think that this is Pelosi and Dems seeking to garner some sympathy from christian conservatives. How can she reasonably stand up and thank God for His blessings, and then BACK the rights of doctors and patients to actively and willingly murder God's creation in unborn humans?
What a total hypocrite. - cnsrvatv, on 12/11/2008, -3/+2@hb
you still have time! - capitaino, on 12/11/2008, -8/+7Pelosi lost ALL credibility when she professed her faith in abortion.
- capitaino, on 12/11/2008, -2/+0Credit?
Lest we forget hypocrites check their credibility at the door. - inactive, on 12/11/2008, -4/+2The cattle call is on, our herding onto the road of perdition is well underway. Laugh all you might, it's obviousness is unmistakable even to shot bus kids. Time will surly tell !
- inactive, on 12/11/2008, -6/+5democrat's, liberals, inclusive's, progressives pop-culture leftist must vanquish CHRIST in order to further their agenda.
Followers of Satan must vanquish Christians & Jews in order claim rule over this world !
If that means using allah's terrorism & economic collapse, so be it..... - Tookson, on 12/11/2008, -5/+3"O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
Not only green when summer's here,
But also when 'tis cold and drear.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me;
How often has the Christmas tree
Afforded me the greatest glee!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can'st give me.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!
From base to summit, gay and bright,
There's only splendor for the sight.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy candles shine so brightly!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee!
Thou bidst us true and faithful be,
And trust in God unchangingly.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee! !"
nice song, but a little corny, heh - mickeybutane, on 12/11/2008, -3/+1Wow, the bitter nutroots have shown up
- featheredchick, on 12/12/2008, -4/+1Democrats are the scourges of the earth. Being a Democrat means being pro-abortion. I have trouble understanding how a Democrat could stand in front of his maker and claim righteousness after he supported the murder of innocent children.
- cnsrvatv, on 12/11/2008, -4/+1Got the point and it was well written. It's great to watch God's will be done! "For He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son... (John 3:16)
- inactive, on 12/11/2008, -4/+1check out her picture above this is the first time I have ever seen a horses butte with teeth..............this old girl is a hypocrite of the first order........
- cnsrvatv, on 12/11/2008, -4/+1your second paragraph is spot on, thank you, it's a beautiful thing when God gets glorified despite so many obstacles.
- featheredchick, on 12/12/2008, -3/+0Pelosi is only trying to make a few brownie points with the Christians. Notice how she insisted that the ministry knew how much she suffered. Let's see how her Christianity holds up ... pro-abortion ... pro-gay --- don't even need to go further. She's an air-head.
- wethepeople1, on 12/11/2008, -5/+1Amen to your comments........you hit the nail on the head.......although I would have said "my Gosh".......I'm sure it was a slip up.
- inactive, on 12/11/2008, -7/+1Spear me, Pelosi! The Lord will NOT be mocked and she just did that when she opened her mouth and invoked his name.
Pelosi needs to be slapped for BLASPHEMY! My God, what a hypocrite and pathological liar she is. She totally backed the partial birth abortion just as BO did and was "sorely disappointed" that the Supreme Court did not "uphold women's rights."
