FIRE PAULSON
NO BAIL OUT - inactive, on 09/24/2008, -0/+2Paulson is trying to cram down this our throat without any oversight, scary thought with One man with that much money and power.
- kyyv, on 09/24/2008, -0/+2No way should Paulson be leading the effort to stabilize the economy.
Hasn't anyone thought about firing him for the awful job he has done?
(Hell of a job Hanky!)
Our national treasure should be invested carefully.
Not just thrown up in the air in the hopes that it will fall in the right place.
The banks have whole departments filled with experienced financial professionals.
Let them work their own problems out, not some government agency with no real motivation to do a great job and to ensure the safety of our hundreds of billions of tax dollars.
Why are protecting all of the people that screwed up?
This plan is 100% nuts and we are all going to be personally footing this bill for years to come. - hawkeye17, on 09/23/2008, -1/+3This whole plan just reeks to me. I just don't trust Bush Co. to do the right thing so I'm guessing this plan is NOT the right thing to do in this crisis. If faced with 2 choices: A: use our tax dollars to bail out the industry that created this whole disaster vs. B: let the markets work and the weak fail for their incompetence and use my tax dollars to pick up the pieces......I'll take Option B thank you very much.
