- raisputin3, on 08/27/2008, -11/+64"Ron Paul" > ("McCain" || "Obama") on everything
- inactive, on 08/27/2008, -2/+47Bucannan: Where is the fire, the scream, the heart you expect from the Democratic party which belives Bush is a total disaster? They've got a keynote speaker up there. He's got to tell the Country why we've got to get rid of these guys not (inaudible) some technocratic speech written by a computer.
Robinson: I am waiting for someone to take the podium and say the word torture. I'm waiting for someone to take the podium and say the word Iraq. I'm waiting for someone to take the podium and talk about domestic surveillance and talk about all the reasons that the Democrats want to get rid of George Bush
Bucannan: Come to Ron Paul's convention! You'll hear about all that there. - shortbusgeek, on 08/27/2008, -7/+39Please call the Commission on Presidential Debates at (202) 872-1020 and politely request that they include Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party nominee for president, in the presidential debates.
- algaeturd, on 08/28/2008, -1/+27The most laughable part of this whole thing is that Republicans had a chance to choose Ron Paul. They obviously opted not to but JESUS CHRIST??? You choose McCain over Ron Paul?
Wow. Good for democrats, bad for Republicans.
So they tossed Paul to the wolves publicly during debates and the like because he is one of the very few republicans left who still subscribe to a TRUE conservative view of government? You guys had one so your crucified him publicly? The rest of the candidates all had a go at Paul but ironically, most of those men don't know HALF of what paul does when it comes to foreign policy as spelled out by the constitution, ECONOMICS for sure and also things like liberty, freedom, Bill of Rights, etc.
People hated him because he had a lot of support from both sides but the one thing that most neo republicans DIDN'T do was listen to him. They weren't even open to hear his message. If republicans would have been smart enough to nominate him, he would have most likely won since his appeal stretched well across party lines.
He's one of the few men in politics that could bring together independents, republicans and democrats for a united front.
So what did republicans do? They told him to ***** off basically. They laughed at him, made fun of his 'online' support, etc.
To support John McCain?
Republicans BLEW IT. Big time. Historical blowing it.
But whatever. He's definitely not going to win as a write-in candidate and he'll likely be too old to run in 2012 but JESUS CHRIST I would love to see more republicans step up, take the party back to its conservative platform...a TRUE conservative platform and get rid of this corporate ass licking, special interest ***** sucking and uber-rich ball nuzzling and start to stand in the way of corporations, media and special interests running Washington instead of chosen, elected officials. - dcbpe, on 08/27/2008, -3/+24Too bad a comment can't be dugg more than once...you deserve multiples
- Lawofnations, on 08/28/2008, -0/+20"Come to the Ron Paul convention"? Interesting thought. Let's see..plane tickets? Check. Hotel for five days? Check. Floor seats? Check. A complete understanding that we will be heard across this once free nation? Oh definitely check. No tear gas. No worries. Just thoughtful and intelligent conversation with 15,000 gung-ho patriots. This isn't just an "ounce of prevention.." this will be a tsunami!!
Hey sportstar? You and your mongoloid son pajeff2 are invited for some enlightenment and a swift kick in the @$$! - Kent4jmj, on 08/27/2008, -4/+23So the Democrats can not define themselves or why they are better than Republicans. They take no shots at Bush or Chenney of any hisr policies. Why the hell would any one vote for the Democrats? Not that McCain is better because he is only marginally different. Still it should be of major interest to voters that the DNC's speakers are not taking the opportunity to define what they mean by "Change."
One has to ask what "Change," What do you mean by "Change?" Are you against torture? Are you against wiretapping American citizens, are you against increasing Executive Branch Powers? If Bush and Chenney are so "bad" aren't you going to tell what is bad about them and how "you" are going to be different? - oconnor11, on 08/28/2008, -2/+21Join Ron Paul's "Campaign for Liberty". It's for all Americans, no matter your political affiliation! Just check out the sneak peek of the speech he's going to be making at the "Rally for the Republic"
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/ - inactive, on 08/28/2008, -3/+19Tucker is supposed to appear at Ron Paul's convention. It would be great if Buchanan could make it, as well.
- RPliberty, on 08/28/2008, -1/+16Pat could have said "Go to the Ron Paul Convention" rather than "Come to the Ron Paul Convention" - I think we have an ally.
- kemp34, on 08/28/2008, -2/+15No.
- Waiting2awake, on 08/28/2008, -2/+15Well said. So true.
Wouldn't it be nice to get a free debate between the two bought candidates and the two free ones? - oconnor11, on 08/28/2008, -0/+12Have heard it will be aired on one of the C-spans and another network! Can't wait!
As far as sportstar and pajeff2.........you forgot the Herkimer dude. ha ha - Chairboy, on 08/28/2008, -0/+12That's it, now you don't get Digg either.
- The I.T. Gestapo - oconnor11, on 08/28/2008, -0/+11Definitely........I"ve always seen Buchanan speak highly of Dr. Paul. I bet he'll be there. For those who don't know, Dr. Paul has started a freedom organization in the past couple of months "Campaign for Liberty" and the "Rally for the Republic" is the kick-off 'party' for all Americans. The status quo doesn't want Paul to be heard because he is for upholding our rule of law which is the Constitution. He is for re-educating Americans on who is in charge. This campaign is for all Americans, no matter the political affiliation. Join Campaign for LIberty and help us get our country back. http://www.campaignforliberty.com/
- grobinson, on 08/28/2008, -1/+11Wait there's a clip of Pat Buchanon on Digg and people are agreeing with him?
- Merendino, on 08/28/2008, -0/+10This just got kicked off the front page.... why?
- dcbpe, on 08/27/2008, -4/+14Can comeone please post a transcipt? I can access Digg, but not YouTube, from my office thanks to the I.T. Gestapo. I'm sure others are in similar difficulty.
- kemp34, on 08/28/2008, -2/+11Buzz off tool.
- dcbpe, on 08/27/2008, -0/+9Thanks!
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -0/+9I disagree with Pat's social stances, but he's got it right about foreign policy and American sovereignty.
- Waiting2awake, on 08/28/2008, -0/+9That was one of the more disgusting things I have seen in my life. RP seemed to be so far and away a better candidate. But he clearly didn't ave the support of the elite(Which should tell you all you need to know about the election) and was marginalized.
Too bad, but thankfully for America he is still fighting. - airwalkery2k, on 08/28/2008, -2/+11Dennis Kucinich talked about some of those things at the podium... then again, the audience was half-empty.
- Waiting2awake, on 08/28/2008, -0/+8Welcome to the bright side.
and yes - yes they have hijacked both parties. Presidents have been selected, not elected for far too long. - thredden, on 08/28/2008, -0/+8pot... kettle?
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -3/+11Ron Paul is worth voting for. If he's not on the ballot vote Libertarian. The worst thing you can do is vote for OBushma and McSame.
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -1/+9I'm sorry but voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. McCain and Obama are just as bad.
- oconnor11, on 08/28/2008, -1/+8Sadly, I'm beginning to think that the neocons have hijacked both parties. Isn't Biden a neocon too? McCain definitely is. And Rupert Murdoch, Fox news owner, is a neocon supporter. That's why we rarely hear about the other candidates.....out of sight, out of mind. We've got to start voting in people who uphold our Constitutional rights again; that is if the voting isn't completely taken over too. I will no longer vote for the "lesser of two evils"
- ic0n0clast, on 08/28/2008, -0/+7I'll be there!
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -5/+12Obama and the Democrats always talk about civil liberties, but never do anything for them. Democrats and the present day "liberals" are for equality, not liberty. Neo-cons are nothing more than 1960's democrats in different clothing. The Republican Party has been hijacked by the neo-cons and true conservatives (classical liberals like Ron Paul) don't have a voice in the party now.
- rexblade, on 08/28/2008, -0/+6The corrupt media serving their corporate parent companies chose John McCain simply because he will serve their profit margins and the NWO. The last thing war profiteering corporations want is peace. They went out of their way to keep Rons message from reaching people and when parts leaked out they ridiculed him and acted as though his positions were silly. All tactics perfected by Fox news/news corp.
- Hetman, on 08/28/2008, -1/+7Funny when I usually hear the word ***** it is usually comming form a teenager or a bigot. Either way you have no right to be calling people dumb children.
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -0/+5sportsstar67 is gone. His account no longer exists. That means his other account (pajeff2) isn't going to be around long either.
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -1/+6you apparently have not been keeping up. Go to http://www.lp.org and see why you are mistaken. The Libertarian Party has more people in office today and has a record of ballot access unmatched by any other third party. You can';t win if you are not on the ballot.
- nkleffman, on 08/28/2008, -0/+5Chuck Baldwin of the constitution party, Bob Barr of the Libertarian party, or Cynthia McKinney of the Green party.
Anyone but a Republican or Democrat.
A vote of your conscience is never a wasted vote. - Lawofnations, on 08/28/2008, -0/+5I forgot that I had the chickpox too.
- the2989, on 08/28/2008, -0/+5Why should we listen to you? You called us ***** and dumb children, yet you didn't say anything meaningful.
- indyattic, on 08/28/2008, -1/+5I don't know, but the Dems and Repubs flock to them like moths to a flame.
- sphigel, on 08/28/2008, -0/+4You have to think long term. We need to slowly make 3rd parties a viable option. Decades of people voting for the lesser of two evils is what got us two horrible candidates today. People have let their parties get away from them but they keep voting for their guy because they're more scared of the other guy. We need to put an end to that.
- dcbpe, on 08/28/2008, -0/+4Pat Buchanan's website (www.buchanan.org) advertises two primary things...Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul. He is an ardent supporter, but is in an employment position with the MSM that requires a dissappointing silence.
Where he's not hog tied by the MSM, he does what he can. for instance, the magazine he created...The American Conservative (www.amconmag.com)...endorsed Ron Paul's Presidency in February.
oconnor11...see you at the Rally
dcbpe...proud C4L member #754 - BotchaMcCoola, on 08/28/2008, -0/+4How do some people get these goofy ideas? - or are these comments from Media plants and shills?
- DukeLeto2, on 08/28/2008, -0/+4Chuck Baldwin if available. If not, Barr. I'd rather not vote Barr, but anyone who is putting out even a fraction of what Paul stands for, has a message that needs to be heard.
- jrook85, on 08/28/2008, -0/+4/sarcasm
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -0/+4He says that only Ron Paul will mention torture, wiretapping, etc. which is true.
- Notasheeple, on 08/28/2008, -0/+4That's funny, I heard the same thing about your mom.
That is an example of dumb children. Here is another one.
you ron paul ***** need to get a grip. you're all a bunch of dumb children.
Oh, and by the way, my six year old has better grammar than you buddy.
"me kingofinternet, rrrrrrrrrr, dumb, rrrrrrrrrrrr, fags, rrrrrrrrrrrrr, children, rrrrrrrrrr"
FAIL - da420, on 08/28/2008, -0/+3Irving Kristol was a Trotskyite and I always hear him as being credited for starting the neo-con movement. I think Leo Strauss is their biggest influence and he was a Trotskyite as well. As was Christopher Hitchens a Trotskyite, and I hear him being called a neo-con just as often. So yes, I think you can consider Trotskyites to be neo-cons.
- SoyJames, on 08/28/2008, -0/+3Who said anything about Pat being a hero?
- dcbpe, on 08/28/2008, -0/+3His campaign for the Presidency, yes...but he's been Campaigning For Liberty for far longer.
www.campaignforliberty.org
One election isn't going to fix anything. The "Ron Paul" movement isn' about him being President (for most of us) it's about getting the message spread far and wide. - rexblade, on 08/28/2008, -0/+3520 comments and 15 diggs. Exactly why are you here? Are you really so lonely that this is your method of getting attention? Granted you did get people to talk to you but we all pretty much know your not all there... Or you are overacting 1 of your probably many online persona's created for the purpose of manipulating digg content and spamming threads with douche bag-isms.
