- cheesegypsy, on 09/06/2008, -17/+114I'm not sure who would be surprised by this outcome, since sharing a gender is about as good a reason to vote for someone as driving the same kind of car. Her values are a real insult to women who are not part of the religious right.
- richirwin, on 09/06/2008, -20/+110Undecided or Democrat women aren't typically right wing nuts like Sarah Palin.
- brandita, on 09/06/2008, -15/+71Women for Obama!
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -18/+64Sarah Palin is nothing more that a newest Republican scam. Put a pretty face in front of a hand picked audience and let her read a speech she didn’t write and she becomes the next sham for the American people. But the spineless media and redneck state I mean red state America has bought into this farce. She won’t be interviewed by anyone until she has been drilled over and over again with prepared answers for questions she may be asked. And the questions will come from friendly interviews with Sean Hannity Rush Limbaugh and Larry King. She will avoid all Sunday talk shows unless the questions are given in advance.
In the meantime she will continue to spew hate filled disparageing and racially tinged remarks about Obama without offering any solutions to the problems this country face. With only two months before the election, the hope is that slide this hand pick pretty face into office by baffeling us with their ***** since they can’t dazzle us with their brillyance. MCcain is willing to win a election with gimmicks and slogans than with issues, which doesn’t bode well for the American people. But Bush did the same to us for 8 years. And the Jerry Springer, World Wrestling Federation, god and gun loving rednecks I mean red state morons may well vote MCBush into office. - yojiffyskippy, on 09/07/2008, -5/+37Would any self respecting woman admit to supporting Palin JUST because she's a woman? That's as ridiculous as a black person voting for Obama JUST because he's black. Okay, so that was a bad example.
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -6/+31The problem here is not so much stealing Hillary's supporters, democrats or Independent votes, but to make the hardcore right-wingers who were disillusioned until now stand up and vote for Palin. We all know how well this usually turns out.
- diggproof, on 09/07/2008, -3/+23This race isn't even close despite what national polls say. It's the Electoral College that's the deciding factor, not popular vote.
http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/
Obama will win all Kerry states and more, and Kerry lost in 2004 by only 18 E.C. votes.
It's my projection that he'll win at least 300 E.C. votes, but he only needs 270 to become president. - Pilot85, on 09/07/2008, -3/+21I'm black, and I'm not gonna vote for Obama just because he's black. Under that logic I would have had to root for Sharpton, and that guy is a *****.
- takamalak, on 09/07/2008, -1/+17I don't know but America would be better off without you snarky, sarcastic, bitter conservatives.
- langdonalger, on 09/07/2008, -1/+16"Where would America be without you smart liberals?"
without liberals we wouldn't have to worry about it at all, since women wouldn't be voting, much less running. - seantubridy, on 09/07/2008, -4/+19"Her values are a real insult to women who are not part of the religious right."
They're an insult to them too, they just don't know it. - thelif, on 09/07/2008, -2/+15Instead of arguing with staunch Conservatives on Digg, understand that it is unlikely you will change someone’s mind over the internet. Why not do some of the following to help Barack Obama.
1. Register to vote and vote on Nov 4th.
2. Tell your friends/roommates/family/neighbors to register and vote on Nov 4th.
3. Show your friends/roommates/family/neighbors clips of the Daily Show/Colbert Report.
4. Go to 2 and Repeat.
Let’s make a difference and I look forward to digging the Democratic victory on Nov 4th. - nihilville, on 09/07/2008, -4/+17Why the hell would you bury a _poll_!?!
Just because it paints the conservative messiah in a less than totally fawning light?
Or just because it came from a more credible news source than faux news?
You people are pathetic! - bigstinky, on 09/07/2008, -5/+17She moved me...Well, my bowels at least.
- charlieplex, on 09/07/2008, -5/+16Palin is there to energize the base, McCain is the one that is republican by name only
- BZKyle, on 09/07/2008, -0/+11Dugg... but what's up with the thumbnail?
- BMP91981, on 09/07/2008, -1/+12@Ol3O Yup, because any woman who votes differently than you is stupid.
/sarcasm off
Ignorant troll. - spookyttws, on 09/07/2008, -1/+11I totally agree, whats the pint of voting for a woman who doesn't stand for women's rights?
- JMaj, on 09/07/2008, -2/+12Oprah/Greene > McCain/Palin
- Taiyoryu, on 09/07/2008, -2/+11For all those who are voting because of gender, aim higher than Palin, please. FYI The Green Party is an all female ticket: Cynthia McKinney / Rosa Clemente. Why settle for VP when you can have a woman as President? Personally I think you should ignore gender when choosing someone for the highest office in this country, but what do I know?
- yojiffyskippy, on 09/07/2008, -3/+12FTA "The pollsters cautioned that the focus groups results are not predictive, but simply give a sense of where wavering women voters may go come November."
WTF? How can something give you a sense of what will happen yet not be predictive? I think what the author should have said was "Cherry picked focus groups don't mean anything; never have and never will. That's why we actually have elections!" - seantubridy, on 09/07/2008, -5/+14I'm assuming this is going to get reported as inaccurate in a few hour like every other story on digg that dares say something even slightly negative about Palin. What the hell? Give it a rest McCain/Palin followers!
- wisefool9, on 09/07/2008, -1/+10" Republicans are like the Democrats of 40 years ago. "
Ah, 40 years ago.
McCarthyism. Pre-Civil Rights. Dixiecrats. Lynchings. Segregation. Creationism. Blacklists. Cold War. Nuclear testing and Elvis Presley.
Yeah, those were the days.
Democrats ain't socialists. The only places where EVERYBODY is on welfare are France and Alaska.
Oh. Wait a sec. - Saea, on 09/06/2008, -13/+21I knew from the start that the only reason why Palin was picked to be McCain's running mate was because they thought that having a minority or change from the usual politician would gain some sympathy votes, or votes from minorities. They still don't get it. People didn't support Clinton or Obama because they were black or a female, but because they agreed with them and felt they could get things done.
And now look at them, getting ****** in the arse. - tonto6, on 09/07/2008, -2/+10She also insults all our canine friends.
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -2/+10Maybe Republicans should have thought about these things back when they were elevating people like Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms and Trent Lott to lofty leadership positions within their party.
Also, running that crazy carpetbagging freak Alan Keyes against Obama in 2004 didn't do anything to enhance your standing among black voters. Go watch the debates from that election. Obama can barely control his laughter every time Keyes speaks. E.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZxiVnuFFoI - schoate09, on 09/07/2008, -0/+8Zogby is one of the least accurate polls...
- DoscoJones, on 09/07/2008, -1/+9More like "Dumb Cracker".
- ZenMojo, on 09/07/2008, -1/+9Because we clearly voted 89% for Gore and 90% for Kerry because they were black....they must have been blacker than Obama because Obama's only getting 85% of black voters right now....
- JekJob, on 09/07/2008, -3/+11Yes, let's all trust Zogby polls, which are notoriously inaccurate.

Obama wins the electoral vote. - diggproof, on 09/07/2008, -3/+11Black Republicans, yeah right.
- spookyttws, on 09/07/2008, -0/+7No, McCain USED to be Republican by name only, he's recently become full fledged.
- fuzzynyanko, on 09/07/2008, -3/+10Hillary Clinton is very liberal. It'd be hard to get her supporters to do a 180 to support Palin, a hard-core "Conservative".
- HarryRag, on 09/07/2008, -4/+11Whoever dugg this story apparently thinks diggers are fat and could use a diet.
- charm803, on 09/07/2008, -1/+7Reminds me of the skit Dave Chappelle did when he brought out a pretty white woman to sing things he couldn't say because he was black.
- viet10, on 09/07/2008, -1/+7he also said undecided. moron.
- bigstinky, on 09/07/2008, -4/+10I seriously blew mud when she said, "lyip Styick"
What I love is how the Repubs are all behind her (in their angry way), like they've known her forever.
SMARMY, she's so gat-damned smarmy. - KJSatz, on 09/07/2008, -0/+6“It turns out that women in America aren’t finished yet, and we can shatter that glass ceiling once and for all."
- JekJob, on 09/07/2008, -0/+6Oh I'm proud of you Quad. Now you just have to get people to read your blabbering posts.
- darkfire79, on 09/07/2008, -6/+11Am I the only one that thinks she has an annoying voice? She sort sounds like the Vancome lady from MadTV?
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -0/+540 years ago? Really?
The Civil Rights Act was enacted under LBJ in 1964. School segregation ended with Brown v. Board ten years earlier. Joseph McCarthy died in 1957. Lynchings were rare after 1965 or so.
40 years ago, Republicans were putting corrupt liars and drunks like Nixon and Kissinger in charge of the nation. They were lying to congress and secretly bombing countries like Cambodia and Laos, laying the groundwork for terrorist guerilllas to take over and terrorize the populace.
The more things change... - KJSatz, on 09/07/2008, -1/+6ORLY? Credible source?
- FairNUnBalanced, on 09/07/2008, -0/+5Buried and reported for vulgar, ignorant, racist, misogynistic, hate speech.
And based on the rest of the comments he's made on dig and his vile, hateful avatar it wasn't the first, and won't be the last. - ZenMojo, on 09/07/2008, -0/+590% Republican is more than Republican enough for everyone but the wingnuts.
- charm803, on 09/07/2008, -2/+7Black Republicans aren't voting for Obama because he's black. They support him in a sense to support a black president, but they have said they won't vote just based on the color of his skin.
- londubh, on 09/07/2008, -1/+6She moved me to... to vomit.
- jakeshdaddy, on 09/07/2008, -2/+7Your lameness is only surpassed by unparalleled idiocy. Good Day!
- samimnot, on 09/07/2008, -6/+11I've always known that women are smarter then men...so I'm sure they're not going to just except political spin and misinformation, when judging Gov. Palin.
-They will listen with an open mind
-They will research her record, to verify her claims
-They will hold her accountable for her past political policies
-They will form an educated opinion based on FACTS.
-They will vote responsibly - Ubergoober3, on 09/07/2008, -2/+7Anyone else want to be able to block stories containing certain words, like PALIN.
- diggproof, on 09/07/2008, -3/+8Keep clinging to your Zogby and Rasmussen polls, Obama is getting elected and nothing, not even Reverend Wright or William Ayers will overshadow the last 8 years of failed policies and corporate welfare. Your candidate is pretty much marching lockstep with Bush, his fancy little veto pen isn't going to convince people that he's going to be any different.
