I try to judge each person on their record and what they promise. For the most part I've found that some 50-60% are really trying to make the country better, and even though they have to play the political games, they're not entirely dishonest with their constituents.

I might have voted for McCain this last election if he hadn't turned Rovian and I certainly would have voted for him if he had been nominated the time before. The reason I will not vote Republican (at the national level) is because the GOP is content with trotting out people with divisive rhetoric, turning this country from a "we" to a "us" and "them."
Clinton didn't get the nomination for a variety of reasons, but the biggest issue (to me) is how she lost her cool the moment Obama gained ground on her and she went downhill from there. The problem for Obama is that people are expecting him to snap his fingers and make everything wonderful.
